I'll pop a link in the old one so you know where to find safe haven. I have tried to clear out some space by getting rid of the ohp and vcr trolley and gin is hidden behind the sick sand bucket.

A lot of resentment brewing around covid passports round here. Younger people worried about the timing and whether they'll have had the opportunity to be vaccinated. Local Facebook page up in arms.

I must admit, I’d be pretty pissed off if they introduced vaccine passports and I’m still not vaccinated or still don’t have the chance/choice to be vaccinated. It does sometimes seem that one half of the adult population is ready to move forward and the other unlucky half can’t but that could be my envy coming through!
In ‘everyone is getting on with it, it’s only teachers who moan about having to go to work’ news, the DVLA in Wales have gone on strike over Covid concerns: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-56647149
The complete change in empathetic language from the BBC article is shameful-would be totally different if it was a school/teachers Angry

I now have a 'grown up' greenhouse (as opposed to the one we made out of DDs trampoline frame during first lockdown). We loved growing our own veg.

I've also convinced DH to deck a small area at the back for my 'hippy' tent / seating area.

Haven't done a thing work wise though.

That’s good news in my opinion, thank you for posting!

Got a bit excited at this clause, thinking that they would start providing masks but no, just ‘helpful’ advice on how to make one GrinHmm

Access to face coverings
It is reasonable to assume that staff, pupils and students will now have access to face coverings due to their increasing use in wider society.

...

Public Health England has made available resources on how to make a simple face covering.

JanFebAnyMonth · 06/04/2021 15:51

Til 17 May then. Good.

Piggywaspushed · 06/04/2021 15:54

That link takes me to an article about Tony Sewell?

Piggywaspushed · 06/04/2021 15:57

Hang on... doesn't that guidance only mention corridors?

Piggywaspushed · 06/04/2021 15:58

Oh no, hang on, missed a paragraph!

noblegiraffe · 06/04/2021 16:08

Oh excellent, how is Us4Them twitter looking?

JanFebAnyMonth · 06/04/2021 16:23

Grin piggy...

I now know am looking for a torbeck washer and that my little town doesn’t have one! But the plumbers merchants a few miles away does, hooray. 💪🏾

MrsHerculePoirot · 06/04/2021 16:25

Good! Glad they are extending it for a short while at least.... reckon it will definitely go in May though.

noblegiraffe · 06/04/2021 16:28

Fitting it to the roadmap makes sense.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/04/2021 16:32

@noblegiraffe

Oh excellent, how is Us4Them twitter looking?
I’m off to have a look. Send out a search party if I don’t come back.
Piggywaspushed · 06/04/2021 16:40

As Branwen Jeffries has pointed out, nothing on universities. Has Boris literally forgotten about them?

I note shielded pupils are off til April 26th in Scotland : ours should be back next week...

Piggywaspushed · 06/04/2021 16:44

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 06/04/2021 16:50

Twitter kept me a bit busy earlier with some twats. I really should stay away.

noblegiraffe · 06/04/2021 16:51

Omg piggy is he really saying that if a girl is bullied or sexually harassed it’s because she’s not articulate or educated enough?

Learned nothing from Weinstein.

Sorry to hear that Flowers

MrsHamlet · 06/04/2021 17:10

Four sets of marking done. Year 11 clearly don't give a shit because more than half of them hadn't done the work. But the assignment is now locked and I'm not back marking.
Time for a cuppa I think.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/04/2021 17:42

U4T are consulting their lawyers. On what basis I have no idea.

Wonder who the first celeb/MP endorsement will be.

JanFebAnyMonth · 06/04/2021 18:05

It’s always a good phrase “I’m consulting my lawyer!”.....

I did it, now have a fully functioning flush. JustcallJan!

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 06/04/2021 18:47

FFS all the posts suggesting that people shouldn't go back to work without vaccines.

Aaaagh.. ONLY THE NHS WORKFORCE IS VACCINATED, YET WE'RE ALL OUT IN IT SO YOU CAN BE PRECIOUS AND STAY AT HOME.

And breathe...

JanFebAnyMonth · 06/04/2021 18:56

I posted too soon, I seem to have only improved the leak not fixed it Easter Hmm

Surely they can’t do vaccine passports until they’ve offered jabs to all adults??

BabyYoda9 · 06/04/2021 18:56

@motherrunner

Just back from a 5 mile work with my work wife and her boys and my DC. As we were out two elderly ladies practically jumped in bushes when we needed them and made some passive aggressive comments about social distancing. Makes me realise how different our lives in school are to the rest of the population.
I realised that this week when I suggested a theatre trip (in August) to a friend who said no because the audience will not be socially distanced. It shocked me a little how I don't think about crowds/lack of social distancing because of the great unmasked bunch I see every day in school!
