Other requirements for staff room entry include the ability to find the staff room, the ability to find a clean mug in the staff room, knowledge of the photocopier codes, and the ability to sniff out where the booze is stashed - Thirsty Tuesdays, Fizz Fridays now in operation.

If you come with a stick to goad us then that is not allowed in the staffroom and you will receive a detention

Finally started teaching on Friday. 5 period day and took till now to recover. Youngest dc managed to complete and submit his work without me, which is a relief. He even put a bit of effort in! But he's not happy that I've said we need to start next week's work this weekend, to try and get ahead of ourselves.

I think it the answer is the same as office lens!!!!

Basically you can scan stuff from your phone or tablet/camera. The adobe one is brilliant, when you look through your phone it looks like it's going to take a rubbish picture, then it scans it and you can crop to the bit you want or the whole page and then it somehow makes it really bright and clear and then you can have it as jpg or pdf. I think it also does text recognition too, but I have never tried that... its free also btw and is really, really good. I've had kids using it to send me stuff for a while now because they need to show me handwritten work for maths and it was the easiest way to do it!

My DH would like to assure the teachers of MN that his knowing Geri Halliwell now writes kids books is simply general knowledge that any parent interested in children's literature would know.

He has backed this up by saying that he also knows that Tom Fletcher from McFly is now a children's author.

He is off the hook....for the moment. 👀

This is my 4th night without alcohol. Don't think I'd be saying that if schools were still fully open.

I'm determinedly having a work free weekend after working every day last week and spending the whole of Friday marking pretty much live and sending back work to improve then remarking. Plus scheduling work to go out next week. I really like google classroom I've decided.

Hope everyone is managing to take some time off and away from screens. I'm not away from screens obviously.

This evening I shall be mostly watching teen supernatural type shite and resisting ransacking the cupboards for sugar! Always forget how much sugar there is in booze till I stop drinking
