As my DB's now tier 4 I don't think I'll be seeing him either. Am kind of relieved the decision's been taken out of my hands. But honestly don't know whether I'll ever see him again...

I’d be on those pork pies if I had any too! Instead DH has been coughing so had a two hour round trip to get a test. So I’ve had to clean and tidy the house angrily instead.

I fully think section 44 walk out is the way forward - I honestly don’t think they can justify schools fully open going forward unless things drastically change over the next 10 days....

Not so sure now! This is simply dreadful.

I am worried about how that thread will go.

I am a bit of a commie so would strike. DH wants to strike. But teachers, despite what the press think, are very mild and pretty passive.

Something needs to happen. I don't want to be unpopular either. I am so so so surprised the unions aren't gathering data on infection and hospitalisation/ fatalities in teachers. They were in March.

The same old crap about masks still being in the guidance has tipped me over the edge a bit.

I am also concerned for my child returning to a schol where no one will SI. And where kids self administer their own tests with about as much brilliance as they don masks, gel their hands and do their homework.

I will never vote Tory again as long as I live. It is a disgrace to be lied to like this, an absolute travesty. I can accept a govt doing things I don’t agree with, but I’d rather they came straight out and told teachers / school workers “look, you’re collateral damage in all this, schools are the only thing holding the illusion of order together now”. Not these untruths put in the mouths of lapdog scientists and a muzzled press.

Funnily enough, my first instinct after watching Hancock was to crack open the mini pork pies. It seemed a bit too early for gin.

I've eaten 3, husband ate one in panic mode because he thought there'd be none left I am considering a glass of prosseco but worried that I might peak too soon #notyounganymore!
