Just in case she got lucky and is in the one school that still goes to the pub.

I LOVE rice pudding 😋

CallmeAngelina · 02/11/2020 19:30

Look, can we please store this bucket of sick sand somewhere else?
Envy

MrsHamlet · 02/11/2020 19:36

The head's got room in his office for the sick sand

TheHoneyBadger · 02/11/2020 19:38

Golden syrup is the correct thing to put in rice pudding! Weirdos putting jam in.

Sat in the corner under the coats with the vodka and latvian shots. Feeling sleepy.

MsAwesomeDragon · 02/11/2020 19:46

I'm feeling very sleepy now. I was shocked how quickly we filled the 27th staffroom.

starrynight19 · 02/11/2020 19:56

Sick sand is weird stuff 🤮

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/11/2020 19:57

MMmm...rice pudding. Home made for preference (although I can never manage to make it right - it's always right when it comes out of the oven, then you can stand a spoon up in it when it cools down!) but no additions please. Just as it comes.

MrsHamlet · 02/11/2020 20:00

It's home made, with arborio rice because I didn't have pudding. The tinned stuff is for emergency use only.
Love the crunchy edge bits.

CallmeAngelina · 02/11/2020 20:05

Ooh, look what I've found!
Boxes of tissues!!

Piggywaspushed · 02/11/2020 20:11

Are there any mops in here to replace the one that smells of sick and dead mice that we use at school?

SquashedFlyBiscuits · 02/11/2020 20:14

Evening all! May I just squidge myself in here next to the floor polishing machine? I have ice cream Smile.

Sorry to here about ill sisters and so many self isolating staff. Weird mood in my school today. Tier 1 but numbers almost at 400/100 000 and even the gung ho staff seem to have realised that this term will be hard work.

On the plus side I got a thank you from HT, both DHs and was told by the staff governor that some work I have done was praised at governors. Shame they turned down my ups eh!!!

Hello all, and at the risk of getting deleted, is this the thread I saw complained about, some poster saying that teachers were talking about going to the pub? :o

Can't remember which teacher bashing thread it was, but lately, anyway.

I'm out of the broom cupboard today, a public holiday to celebrate horses running around in a circle with tiny men on their backs: the Melbourne Cup.

It's going to be 30 degrees so am putting shade over my veggie patch. A big thumbs up to all of you one sounded quite a first day back.

TheHoneyBadger · 02/11/2020 20:23

I only saw one colleague from my department fleetingly in a lesson switch over today.

I do like seeing all different staff and generally there's a bit of corridor 'commiserations and black humour' gathering if you're in the lord of the flies block at the end of the day.

We're all like faceless little nomads in our masks with our trolleys full of stuff.

Oh, I missed that one!

Don't knock it. Any excuse for a holiday is acceptable

DH did play golf today and is booked in on Weds for one last hoorah. Barber tomorrow after school for DS and DH. He might squeeze in some teaching in between.

MrsHamlet · 02/11/2020 20:29

I want it to be 30 degrees 😢

SquashedFlyBiscuits · 02/11/2020 20:31

Me too @echt send us some sunshine please!

Crumbs - the 27th was over in a flash!

Thank god for the broom cupboard

Ahh gin. Good good.

Ds forgot a mask today so I had a phonecall from school to take one in. We are enforcing it. Luckily I only live round the corner. If you were 5 miles away at work you'd definitely have a good incentive to remind your progeny to take one in future

OP posts:
HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/11/2020 16:00

Either that or it would be the school’s fault for not having spares.

MrsHamlet · 10/11/2020 16:28

I made a colleague cry today. It was an accident. I feel shit

TheHoneyBadger · 10/11/2020 16:36

Oh no mrsh. Try to remember you didn't mean to and people are highly strung at the minute. Do they like cake?
