Yes Kim K did posts about "off to find Kate" - then removed them

How unpleasant to do that in the first place.

AcrossthePond55 · 01/10/2026 23:18

I just want to put everyone's mind at ease. If you see a squad of patrol cars speeding down the (CA) freeway with their sirens and lights behind a Toyota Prius, fear not! It's just me on a daring rescue mission with my back up!

In other words I'm speeding down the freeway because I'm late picking my son up at the airport and they're chasing me to give me a speeding ticket.

I'm as good as HAM at putting my personal 'spin' on events, aren't I?

And please, let us remember to use H's FULL title of "Royal Prince of England ™"!

The syntax in that well wishes to Kate message sets my teeth on edge.

Starryfifty · 01/10/2026 23:41

Slightly off topic and a bit morbid. God forbid, if anything happened to PW before George is 18, who would be King?

AlexandraCarrington · 01/10/2026 23:49

George would be. There would just be some kind of Regency until he was 18. We've had minors as kings before - Richard II, Edward III, Edward VI, to name three.

ETA: and Henry VI

Henry VIII technically was, but he was so near to being 18 no-one bothered about a Regency.

As Alex said, George would be King, but almost certainly Catherine as Regent. The PM and Ministers also advise.

There was a memorial service for Philip too, though I guess that was a bit different simce his funeral had been massively curtailed by covid regulations

Of course that was also where the late Queen chose to be escorted by Andrew ...

He’s a twat but …this once …it was his father and his mother needed support.

The couple are also likely to spend time in Delhi at the request of the UK government.

I hope there's an evening event and Catherine wears something fabulous.

How about the Delhi Durbar parure? M will shit a plaid rabbit seeing C in a gorgeous gown and bedecked in diamonds and emeralds.

I am quite sure that Kate cannot be regent because she is not in the line of succession. She could have guardianship of George while he is a minor, which is different from the regency. The regent, sadly, would be Harry 😩

bluegreygreen · Yesterday 01:17

It would be up to the government.

Parliament could pass an Act to permit Catherine to be Regent for George until he came of age.
They did this for Philip on the accession of the late Queen, when Charles was just 3 years old.

I can't see there being any difficulty in doing the same for Catherine and George if needed.

Oh my days! You have just MADE my December - I never even thought this would be a thing. Off to Ocado now.

I adore Bonne Maman jams. Oh, Meghan would be beside herself at such brand loyalty.

I love quirky spoons.. I might have a look myself

Bit also, Andrew was only supposed to escort HMTLQ from the side door to the main aisle, then take his seat. But he carried on and escorted her to her own seat at the front.

Loads of WME represented people did this. Enough that it seemed like they were told to do it.

Tom Cruise glowing about PW and Catherine ❤️❤️ said they are the best. I imagine plates are being flung in Cotswolds

I hardly think being endorsed by Tom Cruise is anything to brag about. How long is it since he has seen his daughter?

fuschiaproudparrot · Yesterday 03:12

Some interesting points as to the " what if " scenario. This could be part of the reason he has returned to the UK the parasite.

I don't know. Maybe as bad as Charles Spencer who didn't go to two of his daughters' weddings. Perhaps being friends with him is nothing to brag about either?

I'm not being defensive, just responding. I know that you can't choose your relatives, but you can choose to associate with them when you don't have to. Just sayin' 🤷🏼

IdaGlossop · 01/10/2026 22:19

@JuniperJumper your list is the makings of a board game, a glorified Snakes and Ladders.

Ooh you're giving me ideas. What about a game called Megopoly?

Instead of properties there could be 'As Ever' products to purchase. Instead of upgrading to hotels, each product would double in value with the addition of a handwritten label

The Community Chest cards could be all about Public Engagements e.g. "Your teleprompter fails whilst giving a speech. Pay £50"

The Chance cards could be all about the press e.g. "European paparazzi spotted outside your childrens' school. Bank pays you £50"

The Go to Jail square could be changed to "Titles are in Abeyance. Pay £200"

The small tokens to move around the board would consist of a white van, a private plane, a banana with an uplifting message written on it, a hat shaped like a cow pat, a jar of jam & a tube of cream

Could this be marketed in time for Christmas?

But there is précédent, if you go far enough back. Another Catherine, Catherine of Aragon, was made Régent while Henry was at war in France. She was not in the line of succession (that said, possibly nobody was - Henry had no brother, and no son at the time…)

BunnyBunbunbun · Yesterday 06:46

JudgeJ · 01/10/2026 22:17

If William becomes King before George is 18 I wonder if Harry will be swearing fealty to him, William, at the Coronation? If George is 18 then I assume that he would do it. Would Harry even be invited? Will Anne be dusting off her plumed hat? Will Meghan be a Lady in Waiting to Catherine? I'd pay good money to see that!

Harry didn't even swear fealty to his own father at his coronation so why on earth would he swear fealty to his brother? Why does Harry - not a direct heir - need to swear fealty to anyone? Aside from that, he's not a working royal and will never be again so why does he need to swear fealty to the King?

Charles certainly has a few more years left in him but on the off chance that he dies in the next couple of years, I'm sure George will be fine playing a brief role in his father's coronation.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harry and his wife will be invited, for the sake of decorum, maybe even the kids too, depending on how old they are, but Harry wants to hide the kids' faces so wouldn't bring them, or he'd rant at the cameras for being present at a public event.

How do you know what worries most people on these threads? What a strange claim.
"Blood is thicker than water" means absolutely nothing, and it is a misquotation, and certainly a misunderstanding!
