I popped into Waterstone's first thing this morning and there was a very geometrical display on a table near the door

I returned at lunchtime to meet up with a friend (does this count as a Public Engagement?) and the display was exactly the same

So unless staff are topping up the display, which I very much doubt. no copies were sold this morning

DH says that there was a story circulating when Spare was published about a small bookshop who made a display in the window of Spare & a newly published novel called something like How To Murder Your Family. He has suggested a similar pairing with the Swan Song book . . ..

Plumber who did some emergency work for us recently drives a white van. Judging by his accent and general demeanour he's probably better educated than I am and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he understands Latin.

The longer all this nonsense goes on, the clearer it becomes to me that this move back to the UK was for one reason and one reason only - to force the issue of their security and do absolutely everything that can to get it reinstated.
