Continuing the saga of Sussex PR disasters.

Me too! I'm sorry - I feel stupid now, but I was naive enough to think those 'strolling about the stage holding a mic and looking out at the audience' speeches H so loves were his own ideas and words. I'm blushing, because I know he's an idiot, but I thought, with his royal upbringing and his deeply held convictions (ahem...😂) that that was at least genuine.

Now we find he depends on an autocue, and presumably the speech is written by someone else.

I've come across people like this in my work. The Germans would have a long compound noun to describe it...we haven't. There's a sort of person who's always had huge amounts of support in what they've done but at the same time they've been pandered to and flattered, so that they come to believe their own hype. They honestly think they've done something themselves when they haven't - I don't mean people who deliberately set out to deceive - they're deceived by their own lack of imagination really. H is dim enough to think he's good at making speeches, but in fact all he's good at is being confident in front of an audience and reading an autocue. Not thinking, writing and speaking spontaneously at all.

He has no idea what goes into creating a speech. This was the trouble at Spotify, wasn't it? He was engaged to create content, and he thought that ws just telling someone a vague idea he'd had while on the lavvy, and then leaving it to the lackeys to spin gold out of it.

The Markles are all very quiet now . I wonder what was in the hand delivered letter to TM when he was in hospital ? I think it was a member of the US embassy who delivered it .

The key phrase is ‘useful idiot’ - there are others, agencies and organisations with their own political agendas who can use the access and impact PH has to the general public to get their nefarious objectives delivered. It’s also helpful to some that he’s a disrupter to established institutions which they see as holding back their aims - judiciary, media, etc.

PH being the useful idiot has no clue he is actually being used - he’s so grandiose and delusional that he thinks those blowing smoke up his arse think he is great - and I include his wife in that group - he is a stepping stone for her - albeit a bit slippery and unstable than she anticipated but she’s just about hanging in there for now until shes figured out another more lucrative target.

I think the Markles have been paid off

Businesses require hard work, understanding your customer base and finances. It is not enough just to be interested in, or even good at, the thing it is based on. That is why he failed at Netflix and Spotify.

I’ve sometimes wondered if a school like Eton was the right place for him. It’s very academic, and while not everyone is going to be a genius, struggling along in the bottom set, which is where I assume he was, can be very damaging in a place like that. Maybe the sport made up for it.

Spot on. They also require you to listen to professionals who can support you in weaker areas, and keep a consistent capable few people around you who keep you grounded. He can’t do that as he appears to be convinced he knows best and is better than everyone else. Despite mountains if evidence to the contrary.

Can you imagine running into those two fake freaks socially - bet they were a right pair of sneering, brittle queen bees - and their clothes so trashy and grim - Katie Price style. I suspect the Mulroney’s were privately very relieved when JM departed their family.

H&M are highly litigious and anyone from M’s past would be well aware of the attempted retribution if they speak up.

Even if they can prove all they say the process is the punishment.

Plus there is the mad sussex squad who could harass them and unlike H&M normal people cannot afford bodyguards.

I suspect the family has been threatened, perhaps with the combination of a small pension for Thomas Markle.

Trevor Engelson has maintained a classy silence but when asked pre H&M’s engagement whether he thought M would close the deal he said “Oh she’ll close” which speaks volumes almost as much as “recollections may vary”.

So do I but I don’t subscribe to the jail rumours as no doubt the Markle kids would have spilled the beans already. I think she was probably broke, in debt, had to work unsocial hours or live somewhere unsuitable for a child etc so couldn’t care for Meghan financially or logistically as she would want. I think Doria had a very tough time. She was a very young woman when she married the much older Markle and basically was left to cook, clean and care for his dreadful teenagers 24/7 whilst he worked around the clock. They called her ‘The Maid’ - how offensive - she was only a few years older than them. I am impressed that she educated herself in later life getting a Masters in Social Work. I think she has a good character is measured and demure and would have a fascinating story to tell with a ring side seat at the ‘Markle’s Debarkles’

William knows stuff because he listens to people. If you are interested in a topic and have sufficient status to be invited places to meet experts then you would seek to learn from them, and in doing so develop your own knowledge of the topic.

The kids are probably already beyond his reading and comprehension skills. Imagine if one of the kids decides science/maths is their passion, hopefully nanny or bodyguard have degrees.....meow 🐱😂😂

PH could do a tolerable job if he just turned up, shook hands and talked about the weather. The royals bring publicity to the projects and that brings exposure and funding. The focus should be on the projects though and PH because of his need to rehabilitate his reputation is making them about him but he's just not up to it.

What is he there for though? The Royals are there as representatives of the state/government and, by extension, all of us. Harry is just there for himself, he isn’t representing anyone.

I think they received money and signed NDAs.

I think he thinks if he is seen at important events the status will transfer to him.

I think with both Harry and Meghan, the “we are royal” thing does a lot of heavy lifting in their minds. They seem to think that qualifies them to be able to do anything but without any real work. They see the other royals getting involved in stuff and don’t seem to understand that a lot of work goes on in the background mainly from a team of people, but also from the royal themself to a certain extent. It is entirely possible to fake it until you make it, but that still involves hard work and a willingness to learn. Neither of these are attributes that the Sussexes seem to ascribe to

I really really wish Harry would just STFU.

He has nothing of value to say. Preaching about AI being sycophantic like it’s some kind of revelation, rather than what every single adult with two brain cells already knows.

It’s also a particular kind of irony from him, considering he and his wife will only tolerate people who suck up to them, never hold them to account, never ask difficult questions or challenge their behaviour. He tries to create ChatGPT in his own bloody life!

I’m so sick of him being given a platform to spout rubbish he has no business to be speaking on. The man is thick as two short planks.
