I don’t think Meghan would do Bake off unless she was promised she would win, and received the most praise. This could impact the integrity of the brand, so best to give it a swerve.

I expect she’s offering to go to nice exotic locations and film for BBC children in need once they pay for a private jet. MUA, stylist, wardrobe and someone to do all the work for her.

Yeah, it would have to be Fake Off.

Or maybe she would graciously judge it, like with Australian Masterchef?

I imagine the next route for the HAMs is “guest appearances” though how much money that will bring in is debatable, what do they actually do all day to fill the hours?

I think if that was their plan they should have stayed in California and played 'American royals'. In Britain, they're competing with the real thing. Also, there isn't the big 'business' behind celebrity 'charity work' here as there is in America, and I suspect the bigger charities won't want to work with the Sussexes for fear of alienating the working royals. If they couldn't make a go of that type of thing in California, they definitely won't in Britain.

Me too.

I am 60+, went to a comprehensive school, and learnt Latin. Also French, German and a bit of Italian.

You can join in then!

Thanks .
They were also supposed to be making a film based on Meet me at The Lake.

And the 'feminist Miss Haversham' thing.

It's Miss Havisham.

I went to the local comprehensive, but I was brought up in the days of the Latin Mass, so I suppose some of it must have stuck with me. A few years ago, I was doing a quiz night with some pals and we tied with another team, so we had to have a decider. Strange as sounds the decider was translating Latin words and sayings! I said to my friends, “I’ll give it a go,” and somehow, we went on to win the quiz. I honestly have no idea how I managed it — the answers just seemed to pop into my head!

Meghan has a problem with trust when it comes to her ‘influencing’ and selling. She is asking viewers/readers/as ever buyers etc to trust her whilst making it clear she doesn’t trust them with the way she deals with her children. If her children were not involved at all and she was trying to present as a professional then that would be fine. But the backs of head/blanking out faces is a terrible compromise.

Also the same when posting her latest "drop" comments are always off.. she doesn't seem to understand trust is a two way thing (wish there was a shrug emoji!)

twosmallaxolotls · 26/09/2026 15:30

Harry did not come across at all well.

He really didn't, TBH I'm shocked that the school has taken action, isn't the usual MO to just shrug "Oh Harry what japes!" 🙄Good for the teachers/school, maybe the parents applied some pressure?

KilkennyCats · 26/09/2026 16:38

I wonder who Private Citiizen Harry has been reported to? Isn’t he responsible for himself, these days? You’d have to wonder why the school let him loose in the classrooms if there was any indication of drug use.

JSMill · 26/09/2026 16:39

HolidayHideaway · 26/09/2026 15:34

Which reports?

I would be interested to hear more about this. His behaviour was really quite strange at that visit and as a someone who works in a school, I would be uncomfortable with it around my pupils but I am not sure who you can complain to.

Multibarpack · 26/09/2026 16:50

3peassuit · 26/09/2026 15:34

Against whom? Harry looks stoned and shouldn’t have been allowed near the children in that state and who ever posted that clip ( I’m not sure if it was the press, the school or Harry’s pr team) really should have known better.

The council safeguarding lead?

Richard Eden says Harry and Meghan are threatening to quit the U.K. if they don’t get automatic security

Fingers crossed 🤞 😀

Well, we don't want them back here!!!

(They bring down the 'tone' of the place, don't you know!"

Oh, the complaint is by the parents against the school?

It was suggested earlier that teachers complained but safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Unfortunately at the moment the reports can’t be verified so we must treat them as rumours, I for example saw on sm that the parents complained because they only signed a standard release at the beginning of term…..then another report that the school were complaining that they had been misled because they were informed that the visit was from “ a high ranking working royal “ so they expected someone like the wales not Harry!
I don’t know if any of these are actually true 🤷‍♀️

I’m confused. The teachers who entertained him on the premises and invited him into their classrooms have complained? Didn’t they have any say in the matter?
Hopefully if there’s enough fuss about it H won’t be allowed to dick around in any more schools, though.

No, the classroom teachers have no say.

OrdinaryGingerBloke · 26/09/2026 17:08

I can’t find anything online about the teachers complaining. I can find stuff suggesting that the parents are perhaps considering action as the permission slips referred to a “high ranking royal” and H is a non working royal. But nothing I would consider very reliable. If that is true though I’m not surprised they’re pissed off.

CoffeeCantata · 26/09/2026 17:10

PullTheBricksDown · 26/09/2026 15:22

This is great. I've always thought that anyone not seeing how much Harry looks like Charles needs a trip to Specsavers. The resemblance is very clear and hair colour is a red herring - a Spencer family trait coming out.

There are some great videos of Charles back in the day - I've seen one of him in that gold buttoned blazer, skateboarding at some new youth facility he was opening in the 70s 😀

Absolutely!

Grrr - those people who persist in claiming H is James Hewitt’s son….he has the close-together eyes of Charles and Philip (no offence to them) and the ruddy colouring of the Spencers.

That’s made me titter!

I hope it’s true because it’s hilarious. The idea that parents are angry because they didn’t get a “proper” , high-enough-ranking royal is so funny. Oh dear, H, how are the mighty fallen!

IcedPurple · 26/09/2026 15:49

If she went on Celeb Bake Off she'd have to be prepared for her work to be criticised and for someone else to win. And we all know how she feels about that. I'm also unsure what 'work' it could lead to? It's obvious by now that, despite setting up a food related business, she has no interest or skill in that area. A weird choice.

As for 'The Gentlemen', given that they've apparently already started shooting season 3, it would seem very unlikely Meghan was every seriously considered for a role.

I would love to see her react to criticism/not winning on Bake Off. It would be fascinating. She’d have to work on her ‘gracious loser’ face but I have a feeling that the ‘not at all gracious actually fucking beyond furious DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM’ face would make an appearance instead.

Yes, I don't know why that silly rumour persists.
