H must have an incredibly thick skin. Most people would crawl away with embarrassment after that glitch.

I actually think he has . Whether it's a thick skin or an overweening sense of entitlement because "I'm a prince " I don't know , but I actually think he thinks he has a God given right (my phrase not his ) to pronounce on anything. Or a "public platform " - what increasingly looks like a soap box"

The truth is , as long as people keep inviting him to things like this , or keeping them as their Patron , why would he think differently? The venues and the influence might be getting smaller , but H is still announced and on a stage. By virtue of his title / birth. That's what he is used to.

Joining again. Astonishing he had no way at all to carry on or even wrap it up with a few summarising comments when the autocue failed.

It will never cease to amaze me how he gets these gigs. To me, it's very obvious he has zero interest in any subject he spouts about.

Of course they are in cahoots with CS - as not one other person from across Diana’s friends and family would likely collaborate - so they have only one source.

This from the DM article on Harry's speech ".......describing it as the 'ultimate sycophant' trying to 'enter relationships'". Is he talking about AI or his wife trying to get in with the Hollywood A List?

I'm so glad I found the new thread @bluegreygreen , thank you for starting it. I almost had an attack of the vapors when I realized the last one ended without a link.

I think the problem was that some papers had published the photo of the Wales and they make a point of not publishing digitally altered pics as they want their readers to be able to trust what they publish.

Whereas no one gives a fig when Kelly - a private citizen - posts a photo of another private citizen on her Instagram. Even though the garden furniture looks seriously rusty and in need of cushions to sit on. I am also curious as to who took the photo. The ‘bodyguard’?

He would have been so easy to manipulate. Persuade him that he is being ‘controlled’ by the palace machine rather than being given a veneer of royal glow and likability. Plus persuade him that he is being ‘controlled’ by his dad as he was funding him and keeping him below Will and Kate’s level of exposure so he didn’t outshine them. Tell him he isn’t reaching his full potential and away from the royal family they could be freer, more popular and richer. He would lap it up.

I think he said something like "They want me to finish it" when he came back out. I'm sure it was awkward to explain that he's there for a second time, but in the organizers minds he's been paid, maybe even including a private jet, and yes they want what they paid for. H likely thinks since the technical issue wasn't his fault that he shouldn't have too.

There isn’t even a glass on the table for the photographer. MM’s glass seems to be levitating, her feet look weird, Kelly’s toes look like claws, and Marcus’ size is totally out of proportion to the others. The Mahjong (?) pieces are blurred. It all just looks odd. And surely they would have had seat pads.

I actually thought it was a makey-up pic.. I didn't realise it was supposed to be real 😂

Yet they post clearly digitally altered photos of the Sussexes - so what is the difference?

I don’t understand what H was doing attending this do in the US and making a speech about AI. Most people know that caution is necessary with AI. It’s presumably not something he is an expert on anyway. It feels as though he wanted to hob nob with rich/influential people or get on the TV/news/internet. Why?????????

Why doesn’t he stay home and do his kids’ reading books, spellings, times tables, dinner etc and just be there?

As you know, I live in NYC. I told my coworkers about Harry's visit. One commented that maybe Harry was still annoyed about the American Revolution. Another asked why on earth someone would hire Harry who doesn't know at all about AI?

I think the technical was engineered by someone hoping to end the speech early so they could get coffee. That poor audience!

Even worse for H, people are openly mocking his intellect on social media and his questionable A level art results are being bandied about. IMHO, it is only a matter of time before people ask...How did H get into Sandhurst with two A levels one of which was a dodgy Art A level?

It was a bit simper than that, it was because the photo had been given to the media as a news story and there are strict accuracy rules for news. The photo editing broke those rules so they sent out a kill notice and that’s what started all the fuss.

It wasn’t dealt with all that well, they should have called the editors in and shown them the origin photos to reassure them it wasn’t an attempt to con anybody. Catherine handled it with grace and common sense as she always does.

Meghan posts all her own nonsense and the media just publish it, God knows why, so she can photoshop all she likes. If she claimed it was “news” she’d run up against the same problem.

I've no idea why people keep inviting him, it's so beyond him. He couldn't cope with being a working royal, but can't seem to step away and really has nothing else to do. It's just cringeworthy. He's a middle aged man and seems to have no life direction.

H is not by any stretch of the imagination an inspiring speaker. However he is very good with the physical stuff. I wish he’d do something purposeful like joining the RNLI (although the Notswolds aren’t coastal so might be a long commute) or a team of firefighters as a volunteer. Properly commit to service instead of fannying about making appearances.

If I were giving him career advice I’d say go down the David Lloyd route and set up some sort of business based on what he knows, outward bound stuff. It might catch on well enough to keep the lights on in Monteshitshow.
