HaM PR disasters 43: AI crashes but amethyst flashes

Continuing the saga of Sussex PR disasters.

Listening to Piers Morgan, he talks about being on friendly terms with Diana and having lunch with her at Kensington Palace, 13 year old William was present. She discussed everything with him, her lovers etc. She justified telling all in front of William on grounds he would hear about it/read about it anyway.
I'm truly appalled that she did this. So many things wrong with this - firstly obviously the topics of conversation, fancy discussing her affairs in front of her 13 year old son, and doing so in the presence of a newspaper editor!
I can't imagine what William made of it all though I suppose it is likely to have considerably influenced how he approaches his own dealings with the press (determination to not make the same mistakes as his mother perhaps).

Obviously her death was a great tragedy, and no one wishes a young boy to lose his mother, but I do think, had she lived, she'd have been an ongoing source of embarrassment and a general thorn in the side of the monarchy and William as he gradually took on more Royal duties and prepared for his eventual role as King. I think there'd have been mother in law issues too, and jealousy of other grandparents and time allocated with the grandchildren etc. W&C's marriage and cosy relationship with the Middletons would likely have been quite difficult with her around too.

I think he had no clue what the speech was and actually thought he'd finished it when the autocue cut out. Hence the "that's it".

So normally this is when a sleb couple has a band aid baby, or calls the divorce attorney in for irreconcilable differences.

I'm not saying that will happen here. I honestly can't tell from one minute to the next:

Air travel is bad. So we'll take about 17 transatlantic flights and use AI to tell you AI is bad but it's definitely NOT their fault in any way if things go a bit pear shaped. Maybe this is a separation of their interests and professional and personal lives. Harry here with the kids. Meghan elsewhere. Maybe she's bored with a lifestyle with kids as she's been with her other projects. Pastures new ?

Joking aside, it’s interesting how everyone in the Sussexes world is always referred to by their relationship to Harry or Meghan. It’s always “my husband”, “my wife”, “my husband’s grandmother” etc. No one ever has a name. It makes all their relationships with their families seem impersonal. I honestly can’t remember if they refer to their children by their names

Why did a serious organisation invite him to talk about something he knows nothing about? The only thing he brings to the occasion is his title, and surely Americans aren't impressed by that?

Ok I stand corrected. I looked it up and apparently none of the speakers at the CGI were compensated. (Although perhaps they covered transport.)

Even Prince Charles and Princess Anne used to say 'the Queen' when referring to her in interviews.

It’s interesting that PH takes on all of these unpaid charity appointments and unpaid speaking events - are they effectively ‘loss leaders’ to generate a buzz / brand for MM solely to grasp / grift / grab commercial opportunities - because there don’t seem to be any rolling in for PH and she doesn’t seem to be doing anything for free.

On the topic of PR disasters, I’m not sure how to classify this. Firstly, a couple of threads ago I posted something that turned out to be fake and had it removed: my AI radar isn’t fully developed so I may have this wrong too! I also don’t have Twitter or Instagram myself so can’t check any of this. But on another forum I’ve seen the following posted (they were links which I have screenshotted as I don’t know how to work links!). I think this has to fall under the category of PR given how close these two women appear to be, but it says something. Not sure what.

Probably hoping if he shines brightly enough the paid gigs will come rolling in.

Diana was a very insecure and therefore jealous person who would find it hard to come second her her sons lives.

Had H still married M it would have been very interesting to see Diana, arch press manipulator, take her on.

I think Diana would not have liked her at all, there not being room for two “stars”.

Kate, being quieter and not one to push herself forward, might have ended up as the more favoured daughter in law once M arrived as contrast.
