1. @Gonners Apologies if I've misattributed this to you from the last thread but are you still with Hugh?

2. Plausible deniability re swan emoji - am trying to work out what Meghan could say how the swan emoji was relevant to her post. It came after 'bundle' so I wondered if the collective noun for swans was a bundle (it isn't - its a bevy)

So imagine you're the journalist typing this "sources close to the Duchess said the team gasped (in a Lilac/Bute like fashion) in shock at the allegation that she was stirring the pot by posting the swan emoji when it is abundantly clear that she was referring to XXXX

Am more than happy to receive all the funny ones but also trying to see what actual potentially at a stretch defence is

There's been so much talk about W&H walking behind the coffin that I've been racking my brains trying to remember how the announcement that they would do this was reported at the time. Does anyone remember the press/public reaction to the news? Were people horrified at the thought of it (like many seem to be now)? Or did they think it was a fitting tribute to their mother? I wish I could remember.

If he still had the services of 'grey men' he so sneered at, they'd never have put him into a class full of too kool for skool teens who don't know who he is and don't care anyway. He'd have had an appropriate outfit laundered, pressed and ready, been sent with a proper script to an audience who might at least have pretended to be interested, and any embarrassing clips with kids rolling their eyes at him would never have seen the light of day.

But he thought he could do better. So here we are.

I followed a thread on Instagram following a pair of swans this year. Sadly it didn't have a happy ending at all. Lady Swannella's mate died. Then we were waiting for the eggs to hatch - they didn't - every day I hoped they would and then poor Lady Swannella died as well from a fish hook. Not ashamed to say that I wept buckets so I am very pleased to hear that six have been raised this year somewhere else.

I don't really see how Diana can be kept out of it as a lot of the issues stem from the way the royals and Charles treated Diana and Harrys problems and trauma dating back to his mothers death. And the part Camilla played in it too.

But there are so many other threads discussing Diana! There must be 5 or more active right now. It seems like every thread is turning into a Diana thread, with the same points discussed over and over again. I'd like to keep this one thread focussed on H&M's antics, which give us more than enough to be getting on with, rather than the same old stuff about Diana from decades ago. But obviously I can't tell others what to post about.

And again, this is something which just wouldn't have happened when he was a working royal. He found freedom only to come back as a Poundshop royal in Birmingham. What a trajectory.

That's fair enough but it's what's grabbing the headlines at the moment. However it's that Well Child event on on Tuesday I think. I wonder if Meghan will make an appearance. I expect so. Will she grab the mike and push in. Maybe!

Sadly he was the one that got away! After a couple of years he just blanked me, which was weird and totally out of character. Then he turned up out of the blue a few years later, hanging around outside my office at 5 o'clock. He apologised profusely, said that his ex- (who had previously dumped him) had turned up out of the blue and they had got married, but she had got bored with being married and they were divorced. Sadly by that time I had other fish to fry!

I last saw him years later, totally by chance, at a Bach Choir concert at the Royal Festival Hall. As I walked down the aisle, there he was in an aisle seat. We made civilised introductions to our partners and that was the end of the matter.

Isn't life tragic? 😊
