I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

This is such a good point. There are so many women and children living in fear and who are assaulted and even killed by known threats. There is no money to protect them.
So why should the Sussex family get protection. Which pot is that coming from?

What parent and especially a security conscious parent doesn't properly check out the school run? It's part of the basics of choosing a school. Talk about 'fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
You'd think they had been planning the UK move for months, despite what H said about never seeing a way to bring his family back. But more and more it seems like it's all been done in a rush and just not thought through.
Why oh why did they reveal their location in that Instagram post?
I'm frankly baffled by them.

They are not having problems with the British press. The drama is all theirs.

Yes, best they go back to California. They are not wanted or needed in Britain.

They can continue leaking their personal activities to Hello magazine, while posting photos of the backs of their children's heads, from there too!

Indeed. 'Paps' don't really exist anymore. 9 times out of 10, when you see a 'pap' photo of a 'celebrity', they themselves have set it up. Just as, 9 times out of 10, when you see a 'story' about the Sussex family, they themselves have 'leaked' it.

What? Wait? The area around their school in Oxford, or any school anywhere, gets gridlocked at school drop offs and pick ups time? Who knew?

Their security are laughably incompetent, if this is the real reason for moving them, which obviously it isn't.

Prince George is the future king FFS and his parents happily did a little photo shoot highlighting his first day at school. The whole world knew which school he was at. No drama. No chaos. No security issues. Parents just dropped their kids off. Teachers got on with teaching 'Nothing to see here. Move along.'

It was just the same when MM gave birth to Archie. They deliberately generated drama and mystery about where she'd actually given birth and when. Absolutely no need for it.

Chaos, combined with publicity, thirst for attention and grandiose sense of victim hood.

What a disaster for those children to have such parents.

Exactly, when did you ever see photos of Zara and Mike Tindall’s kids on the school run? Never because after the first day nobody is actually interested. Other royals and celebrities take their kids to school without security

I don’t have a view of Harry and Meghan , who in the royal family is at fault etc etc. It’s worth remembering though that Harry fought in Afghanistan, has ( very unwisely) mentioned killing people during combat and as such has good grounds to believe that he/ his family are at risk of attack.

Then it was pretty dumb of him, even by his standards, to bring his family to Britain without making full security arrangements in advance.

Well he’s stupid games and stupid prizes spring to mind.

However, the British taxpayer shouldn’t have to fork out millions because Harry played stupid games.

What a bizarre post. How on earth are they stuck in the UK? H and M still have their house in Montecito, and I'm pretty sure flights between the UK and US continue to operate.

And now they seem set on damaging their own children too.

And their parents posted the video of them in the countryside yesterday? At the same time they'd been pulled out of school for security concerns? This is mental and piss poor planning. Those poor children.

@Lampzade Have you ever lived in the US? I do, and life is far from relaxed here, expectations are far higher than in the UK and extremely competitive, especially among the elite. The expected work ethic and level of achievement is far higher here, their children would be expected to be high achieving academically, in sports, etc. OK, they don't get the same level of media coverage, but the idea that a Californian lifestyle is relaxed is just funny!

If H&M were genuinely worried about their DC security they wouldn't be posting photos of them at location near to their home on social media. It's all a ploy to try to get tax funded security. No evidence those DC are in danger at school whatsoever.
