I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

Far more sensible just to get on with the change of school without ‘alerting’ us. Why do we need to know?

More than likely it was an insane commute for such young children. It wasnt properly thought through. The security team are probably the ones in the cars with the kids and told them it was crazy.

I dont share connection with her, but genuinely thought breath of fresh air. I loved the Grenfell collaboration, thought it made sense, but sadly that faded so fast.

So where are they going to go to now? I'm really confused.
As far as I can work out, they live in the Cotswolds, but chose a school in Oxford City. I mean, that just doesn't make sense. Were they planning on using the Park and Ride?!

@Dorisbonson Yes, because Harry wasn't especially academic, for example, and it didn't matter, he was royal.

Children at elite schools here in the US will be playing competitive sports at a young age, they'll be expected to go to good universities, and the pressure to succeed career-wise is intense. I was brought up in the UK and am taken aback at how different it is here. Even with media attention, Arche and Lilbert will have a more relaxed upbringing in the UK.

They aren't in the cotswolds. They are just outside it. But I persume they are thinking of getting a house in the cotswolds. So what are they going to do, move the kids again? I mean all along my guess was Kitebrook...because I figured they wanted to settle more that way. But that is still 30 mins from where they are now. But where they are now is very much in the catchment for Stowe School later on.

Things have changed because he is far less important constitutionally than he used to be. In his 20s he was one step away from the direct line of succession, a position from which several have become monarch. Now there is virtually no chance of that, so he is just another minor royal. He was also a high profile working royal, close to the seat of power and popular with the public. Now none of that is true - there are no constitutional considerations in play, he’s not a high profile target like the king or the PoW, so as with all the other minor royals (and other famous people like Salman Rushdie and Taylor Swift), security decisions are made purely on the level of risk.

For the royals, their security arrangements are indicative of their position in the hierarchy, a constant reminder for Harry that William is ultimately more important than him, and I don’t expect he likes that much. (cf the bizarre tantrum at being called a private citizen - the exact words they had used to describe themselves a couple of weeks earlier.)

The hatred for these two is insane.

And no, I don't mean most people just not liking them - I mean the pure hatred than means daily death threats.

I really think they should leave again. They are a walking target.

Get a grip. They court public opinion and unless you like the North Korea model, people are allowed to openly criticise wealthy publicly funded people who court opinion.

It's funny because in his youth I thought the problem was that he hated being royal and wished he wasn't. Now it seems he's just resentful because he's not heir apparent. Almost the opposite of what I thought the problem was.

I can understand that it's probably something that takes a while to deal with, being overshadowed your entire life. At the same time, monarchs have younger siblings, it's hardly unusual, it's not as though he was alone in that - his father has three siblings who were never realistically going to be monarch and only one of them had a problem with that and we know what a pig he is. And actually in many cases it's the better option; all the privilege, none of the responsibility.

I thought the millionaires estate on which they are supposedly living is in Northhamptonshire. So they aren't in the Cotswolds and they're a long way from Oxford. What on earth are they playing at?

They can’t win either way , it is understandable if the press were outside the school or something happened ,a threat of some kind and they thought their children were at risk, any parent would change their school in that situation .Maybe they would be better sending them to the school Williams children go to as I’m sure there will be security there ?

Nobody be expecting academic brilliance from.any of them to be honest. I mean, in their line of work, a hindrance. They are, and always have been, very good at sport. Particularly Princess Anne's branch of the family. One grand daughter is a county hockey player.

TBF Meghan has a good academic track record, they may inherent that.

But I think the days of expecting academic excellence or royals is long gone. For me, I’m happy to have the royals as long as they stay out of politics, do good community work, bring tourists to the country and don’t cause controversy.

@JustSawJohnny I doubt that most people hate them. Personally, I hope that they start making well thought-out decisions for their family. I think they tend to react emotionally, rather than logically, and that leads to problems.

Why would anyone make death threats to them? Surely William's family, the immediate heirs to the throne, would be most at risk.
