Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

They’d only been here for about 2 weeks and were already trying to engage in some tit for tat press release regarding KC’s statement.
I can’t be they have time for all this crap when they’ve just uprooted their family thousands of miles.
They have very strange priorities.

Enough with the uprooted comments! Very rich people travel about continually with homes in different countries.

Are you really this invested in these people, are they this important to you? Can I ask why? I'm really interested, not being snippy.

Because a lot of people don't like lying and spite.
And because we understand the damage these two nasty people have deliberately done not only to their families (M is NC will nearly all her family, and quelle surprise, withing months of hooking up with her, so was Harrry with his)
but to the UK in labelling our HoS racist.

They told some shocking porkies in all their interviews, book and NF series - most of which were easily shown to be lies. H later tried to say they hadn't called anyone 'racist'. Yeah, right. Damage was done, mate.

They allowed a vile SM bullying campaign to run against Catherine while she had cancer, while preaching about being kind and the horror of cyber bullying. This forced her to make a public declaration about her cancer when she probably wanted to keep it out of the news for the sake of her children. Nice.

Loads more - but how's that for starters???

Anyone who loves H and M is ignoring some seriously nasty stuff.

Sure, their lives aren't easy, but you can't tell me they don't add fuel to the fire. I mean, come on. Seriously. And as for the home schooling, I'm pretty sure the kids would mix in circles where all sorts of social opportunities would be open to them anyway. How is yanking them out of achool after 2 days or endlessly ranting about absolutely everything ever gonna give the kids peace. They need to step away.

Sure, their lives aren't easy,

Their lives seen extremely easy to me. Plenty of unearned wealth, two healthy children and no real responsibilities. Sounds like a great life.

Any difficulties they have are entirely of their own making.

This is such a childish misrepresentation. They have been advised by their security detail to move the children and they are already in a new school.

Of course they do, and being wealthy they understand the importance of protecting their children and keeping them safe, not publicising their lives and drawing attention to details.

This

Not to mention that many people welcomed MM with open arms, she was VERY popular for a long time, people made the effort to watch their wedding and spent money on street parties etc. all for her to say it was a spectacle and lie about getting married the day before - putting the AoC in a situation where he has to clarify he didn’t break the law. These are not harmless action

Wherever the dc attend school the news will get out whatever steps their parents take to prevent this.

Yes, that's what's so incomprehensible. They live lives of ease and luxury with no worries really apart from those they manufacture.

FreshJalapenos · Yesterday 11:29

Re the whole “He didn’t ask to be born into the RF” - well that’s everyone isn’t it. That’s children living in poverty and abuse. But we expect everyone, and MUCH more vulnerable people than him, to live with their lot and muddle through as best they can and only hope to support them. He isn’t unique in his birth circumstances and he’s FAR more privileges than the vast majority of people. Some might say unwanted fame is a small price to pay for a lifetime of unearned wealth and security

smallglassbottle · Yesterday 11:30

If they both had jobs they wouldn't have the energy to manufacture all this drama 🙄

Yes, wasn't Meghan trading on her blissful SoCal life until a few weeks ago?

Why on earth did they come back to Britain if it's such a den of vipers? Nobody asked them to come here!

Why are you questioning @LaMarschallin? What has an anonymous posters opinion have to do with you?
why are you prescribing emotions to a poster that you don’t know , have never met and are not actually present in her posts anyway?
I also find it odd that on a majority female website you would use the fairly obvious trope of describing women expressing an opinion as “emotional “….odd!
@LaMarschallinneither seems angry nor has she insulted you , you do however seem overly interested in her!

Itsbeenalongtimeincoming · Yesterday 11:31

So isn't this just code for : Meghan thought she had secured an acting role in the Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen. So the family moved to the UK (cause NO ONE in the US was going to offer her a role). Then because of backlash, he rescinded the offer. They now don't have to be here. Queue removal of children.

Hang on.
You don't get to interpret my post through your own lens (useful little phrase that) and state it as the truth.
You may want to start adding a few "in my opinions" there because that's all it is.

Because your post was rather passionate, don't you think?
No, I don't think that.
Nor was it very angry and emotional.

I can assure you, I was just stating my opinion like everyone else.

You've answered my question though with your response to it?
I actually don't think so and, remember, I'm the one who knows what I'm thinking.
You're just indulging in a bit of armchair diagnosis, a favourite sport on MN.
You haven't been able to respond to me without personal abuse and name-calling.
Imo, you're far more angry than I am and you obviously enjoy name-calling and insulting people because you've just done exactly that.

This is the most unhinged vicious thread I've ever read. Two parents have had to remove their small children from school after 2 days because of fears for their security and you are all crowing over it and speculating that they have put their kids in danger on purpose? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Unhinged.

I suggest you look up 'disingenuous'.

What a silly post. I mean - they're just two innocent people with no track record for drama, tantrums, lies, manipulation and entitlement - aren't they? 😂

What can people be so annoyed about? Hmmm...let me see - could there be a back story here?

I think it’s really difficult to understand this sort of behaviour unless you’ve actually had people like this in your life. My PILs are narcissistic, and their behaviour only really started to make sense when I realised that they didn’t actually care about their son in the way you’d expect parents to. They would quite happily discard him if he was no longer of any use to them. Yet they always managed to see themselves as the victim, while treating other people appallingly.

This. There are heaps of information on growing up with narcissistic mothers or parents. Children are used as props and despite a huge amount of material wealth, those poor kids have a lot to unpack when they grow up. It would not be surprising if they decide to go NC as well. Just like how Meghan is NC with her father and Harry is LC with his family.

Narcs are particularly good at making sure their family looks perfect from the outside. Social media is ideal for this. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors and it's usually the exactly opposite of what appears to the public.

Wealth and narcissism is a particularly toxic combination. You can't accuse them of being total fantasists because they have an undeniable level of status and attention. However it's hugely messy and the rich narc mother tends to burn bridges everywhere trying to feed their ego. Agree that they will happily discard their own children once they start developing their own personalities and may clash with whatever is expected of them.

No. It won't. Many royals and famous people have children at school and manage to keep it private.
The last thing the Sussexes want is to live a quiet life, under the radar. There's always got to be hullabaloo.

This is absolutely why I feel such frustration with them. They have been here 3 weeks and we have already had two major blow ups from them - the private citizens letter and now this school security thing.

They need to realise that they are hugely privileged people and that not everything is a massive conspiracy against them. They could have the makings of a lovely life but they would rather feel persecuted.

They are exhausting!

Why do you find them exhausting and frustrating though? If you were to take a step sideways and see them as glorified soap-opera stars (who you'll never meet and who don't care a fig about you), then you might just find them mildly entertaining instead. Dipping in and out of these threads is enough for me tbh.

Also, a little while back she gave an interview to a magazine called "The Cut". In the interview she said she could never have her children educated in the UK, because they'd always be surrounded by paps, and she was "a good parent" for keeping them in the USA.
What changed 🤨?

Here we are, myself included, debating the whys and wherefores about them. It has worked hasn't it. Any publicity is good publicity for them. It makes them feel relevant. If only we could ALL completely ignore them, media, newspapers, every man jack of us. That is not going to happen of course, just wishful thinking.

OK well how about this… he was brought up to do public service and trained to be in the public eye … she opted for acting as a profession and did charity work.

Maybe they just want to carry on living their lives doing things they know how to do? And of course making a living to support their dc. That’s perfectly reasonable I think.

Exactly. If you’ve had someone in your family who has narcissistic behaviour, unless you see it through the lense of narcissism the behaviour leaves you scratching your head. The narcissism drives all their behaviours and actions. So things we might see clearly and irrefutably as a lie will not actually be recognised as a lie to the narcissist because at the moment they say or do it,it will be logical and true to them. They can actually believe something profoundly and then believe the opposite and not see that they held the previous belief. It’s really interesting, but awful for those who come into contact with them and incredibly damaging.
