Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

OK well how about this… he was brought up to do public service and trained to be in the public eye … she opted for acting as a profession and did charity work.

Maybe they just want to carry on living their lives doing things they know how to do? And of course making a living to support their dc. That’s perfectly reasonable I think.

It's only reasonable if they work as a team and follow the expected norms within the institution they want to be in. They are not doing this. They want to monetise on their titles and that's not ok. They're welcome to hand in their titles and do acting, comedy, charity whatever As Private Citizens.

So, it's perfectly reasonable to share their lives and that of their children and also complain about security issues and privacy?
Ok. That sounds like their skewed thinking. Plenty of actresses have private lives, plenty of royals do.
However, they're not briefing the Daily Mail.

Also, a little while back she gave an interview to a magazine called "The Cut". In the interview she said she could never have her children educated in the UK, because they'd always be surrounded by paps, and she was "a good parent" for keeping them in the USA.
What changed 🤨?

They tell so many lies - I think they're a pair of fantasists, quite honestly.

And liars need good memories!

Re the whole “He didn’t ask to be born into the RF” - well that’s everyone isn’t it. That’s children living in poverty and abuse. But we expect everyone, and MUCH more vulnerable people than him, to live with their lot and muddle through as best they can and only hope to support them. He isn’t unique in his birth circumstances and he’s FAR more privileges than the vast majority of people. Some might say unwanted fame is a small price to pay for a lifetime of unearned wealth and security

So I always compare PH to Rob Kardashian.

Didnt ask for his wealth or fame, was thrust on TV at a young age by his mum and stepdad, and exploited to within an inch of his life at one point.

Where is he now?

He said enough is enough and disappeared. Probably lives a very comfortable life but you never see or hear of him. It can be done if thats what you really want.

PH doesn't want that. He wants to be adored, he wants to be rich, he wants everyone to finally realise that his wife is just like his mother, and is completely misunderstood. He wants everyone to side with him that his dad and brother are awful and wrong. And he will not stamping those feet until he gets it.

But they want to be ROYAL!

They want what W and C have got. They want their children to ride in carriages and wave from the balcony...which is odd, to say the least, since that whole royal lifestyle was rubbished by H as a trap. They need to make their minds up.

Tough, H. W is the next king. How can H's children be royal if he's rejected that life? He didn't think of that, because he's an overgrown toddler.

Why is this breaking news in the Daily Mail? It's not news and is irrelevant to the general public.

Just another example of how Harry and the tabloids feed off each other and need each other. It's the tabloids and assorted YouTubers, tweeters, etc. that drive the Harry and Meghan story. Just ignore them and Harry and Meghan will disappear too.

Someone once started a thread about all their lies, it was quite extraordinary.

I mean it's like the intern wanting to change the mission, strategy operating structure and revenue model while also pocketing the $£$. The British monarchy is not a start u, Meghan and Harry, just so you know, and I haven't seen them succeeding in any start up or other more 'collaborative' ventures. Why? Lack of talent? Lack of decorum? Lack of communication skills? Lack of impulse control? All of the above?

This is such a childish misrepresentation. They have been advised by their security detail to move the children and they are already in a new school.

How did they get places at said new school though? Apparently they didn’t come back until they were sure that they could get places at the school they have now left because, security, but have somehow miraculously found another one in two days 🤔

So if that was any other parent @HelenaWaiting they would sack their security team asap.

I mean, what a cock up! Not able to ascertain the traffic and journey time from A to B for a school run. Or the risks.

Most parents do that as a matter of course. In my own town posters ask on Facebook how long the journey might take on a normal weekday compared to quiet weekends or school holidays.

I think it’s really difficult to understand this sort of behaviour unless you’ve actually had people like this in your life. My PILs are narcissistic, and their behaviour only really started to make sense when I realised that they didn’t actually care about their son in the way you’d expect parents to. They would quite happily discard him if he was no longer of any use to them. Yet they always managed to see themselves as the victim, while treating other people appallingly.

This. There are heaps of information on growing up with narcissistic mothers or parents. Children are used as props and despite a huge amount of material wealth, those poor kids have a lot to unpack when they grow up. It would not be surprising if they decide to go NC as well. Just like how Meghan is NC with her father and Harry is LC with his family.

Narcs are particularly good at making sure their family looks perfect from the outside. Social media is ideal for this. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors and it's usually the exactly opposite of what appears to the public.

Wealth and narcissism is a particularly toxic combination. You can't accuse them of being total fantasists because they have an undeniable level of status and attention. However it's hugely messy and the rich narc mother tends to burn bridges everywhere trying to feed their ego. Agree that they will happily discard their own children once they start developing their own personalities and may clash with whatever is expected of them.

I think your phrase “nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors” is the most relevant here.

They might be very good, engaged, parents as far as any of us know?

And if we don’t know, we shouldn’t comment.

Anyone who is truly concerned about those dc should stop commenting about the family negatively on line.

Plus people share details of roadworks etc.
What a terrible security team.

so are the children reading MN?

Don't you think that any family who plead for privacy should stop posting videos and photos of their children for public consumption?

Edited

You'd think so. If you want to protect young children, don't keep posting their images, their location and their activities.
Give them privacy.

No they don’t. It’s the haters creating the noise. And all of the journalists and commentators stirring the hate for profit.

Meghan hasn’t said anything publicly for ages and only makes very sporadic appearances. She posts every now and then on Instagram with her children’s’ faces covered. I wouldn’t recognise the dc if I came across them in the street! Not like I know the faces of K&W’s dc.

No, she just briefs People and Hello via “sources close to the couple” - how else would we have heard that she felt “sidelined and humiliated” at the tea with KC in July? And she has no reason whatsoever to post her children on her public Instagram page. Those who genuinely worry about their children’s safety and desire to keep their private lives private (the Clooneys, for example, and Keir Starmer as mentioned up thread) don’t post pictures of their children online.

But he can't have it his way all the time he can't trade on his Royal Status when he stepped away because he didn't get his half in half out deal, if they really want to do good and earn a worthwhile living then he has to stop whinging that life is not fair and get on with it, i do appreciate he had a very different upbringing but he has to realise that wasn't real life, he has to re learn how to live a life without staff and security micromanaging everything.

something huge has happened which we’re not
being told, is the only explanation.
(the other possible explanation is that they both lie a lot
and are unreliable)

Can I offer a different thought here. I know it’s not popular but I think it’s relevant.
H&M are hated, as proved by this thread and others, people do not like them and that automatically creates a threat. It takes one radical who decides they will do it for the greater good and you have an incident on your hands.

The press learned their location this week, yes M posted the photos but the press have compared these photos to satellite imaging to find them (stalkers much!). Let’s not forget the wales’ also very publically post their location but the difference is the security. As parents, if we were hated as much as they are, I’m sure we would all think shit the kids and make sure they are safe.
Personally where the children are involved (who are innocent in all this and would
probably like a relationship with their grandparents and cousins etc) I don’t see why security would not be offered just out of some common sense!

Just a correction here.

The UK press have known there location for several weeks (including the school that the children were to attend) and have publicly stated that they had no intention of divulging it, which is in keeping with the Editors' Code of Conduct, let alone the Sussexes' express wishes.

Information has been released by the Sussexes, which has allowed online media interests (YouTube channels, X and Reddit accounts etc) to work out the location. It has still not been divulged by the UK press.

I'm interested to know the history on this - did Beatrice and Eugenie have police protection when they went to school. Harry's children are in the same position as they were. So is it consistency or bias?

Beatrice and Eugenie are in their late 30s - a better comparison would be the children of the Edinburghs, (grandchildren / niece and nephew of the monarch like A+L), the younger of whom finished school a couple of months ago. No, they didn't have police protection when they went to school.

Their parents are working royals though, so perhaps an even better comparison would be the children of Peter Phillips and Zara, whose parents like Harry are minor non-working royals. They don't have police protection at school either.

They want what they can't have! Did we ever see Princess Margaret's children waving from the balcony or in carriages, except for their weddings? No - they weren't high enough up the pecking order - and this is precisely the position which will be occupied by those kids when William becomes King. They need to come to terms with it.
