Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

Most sensible people know that rich people move back and forth between different countries and have children in one country during term time and then go back “home” in the holidays. I believe the Sussexes were planning to spend Christmas in Montecito all along? It’s not very unusual.

Even for someone that is the figurehead of Travelyst? Making sustainable travel easy?

Are you really this invested in these people, are they this important to you? Can I ask why? I'm really interested, not being snippy.

What people, exactly?
Read my post properly and see who I was referring to.
And what do you mean by "invested"?
There are so many posts containing the same old language tropes being thrown around, I don't think people stop to ask themselves what they mean by them.

"Can I ask why? I'm really interested, not being snippy."

Gosh. You're "really interested" in me, a random poster on MN out of millions of others?
Why are you so "invested" in me, particularly?

Once again, I'll say that it shows just how much H misses the advice and guidance of the men in grey suits. The optics of H and M complaining that they need taxpayer funded security to send their children to a private school they have chosen while living on a billionaire's estate just astounds me.

Yes, talk about tone deaf. Plus their supporters? I don't get it.

I find it utterly bizarre that you can’t except people just see things very differently to posters who spend most of their time in an echo chamber.

Peoole have lost all sense of proportion when it comes to H and M and for the life of me I don’t know why that is but I have a few ideas.

Sorry but it’s not normal for posters to go around diagnosing people whom they have never met and don’t know, with mh disorders.

And it’s not ok to say they are narcisstic parents when you have never met someone either.

It’s entirely possible that there had been a security blip. By definition a school is a place with many people in it! It was never going to be possible to keep the identity of their school private.

I agree with the poster above who said if you just take the hatred towards them on here as a barometer, it only takes one nutter. It’s not about Harry’s position in the hierarchy; it’s about being all over the news and regularly having 100 threads, podcasts, You tube snippets, regularly broadcasting hyperbolic invective about them. Sadly we know that people believe what they read in the DM. And it’s about how keen journalists and photographers are willing to pay for information about them.

And apparently it’s reasonable now to compare H&M to the mother of Shannon Matthews! Utterly ridiculous!

If posters really care about the dc then they need to desist from making statements about their parents based on crude armchair psychology and lay off the family altogether.

It is absolutely ok to call out observable patterns of behaviour, especially when the welfare of children is concerned.

The boat photo was SO telling. There were rumours about who was putting them up and then she posts a photo of a bridge that is easily identifiable on google. Shes doing it deliberately.

One of the blind items (pinch of salt) this morning said that the two kids have been enrolled for an exclusive online private school in California for months now, one where you study at home and dont actually have to appear.

Those poor kids are going to grow up so screwed up from all this. They are being raised to think their faces are some worldwide secret and that they are to be hidden away at all costs. When they get old enough the tabloids will chew them up and spit them out and do untold damage.

Just look at North West compared to Blue Ivy. One teen has been allowed to run amok on the internet and face all the noise and interest that comes with it, one has been raised to show her face only when they deem it appropriate. The two are completely different girls.

Absolutely like Blanket Jackson.

This will be the first time in his life he will have experienced 'normal' school runs for 'ordinary' folk. If you are a day pupil at a school (albeit a very privileged public school) then do not expect to drive in convoy during normal rush hour and school dropping off and picking up times.

But surely Archie started school a few years ago? He's 7. How did they manage to do the school run in California? They're even less of a big deal there than they are here.

I am talking about life in Britain. This is the first time in his life he has experienced the daily school run here in his home country.

I do not hate Rachel and Harold, as I do not know them. I do hate their gross hypocrisy and their continuing world-wide 'privacy' tour.

Harold has no idea about real life for ordinary people. He went to a very privileged private school as a boarder - and it was within walking distance to 'home' and to granny in her castle.

This will be the first time in his life he will have experienced 'normal' school runs for 'ordinary' folk. If you are a day pupil at a school (albeit a very privileged public school) then do not expect to drive in convoy during normal rush hour and school dropping off and picking up times. Anyone who knows Oxford and suburbs knows how extraordinarily awful is the traffic during these times.

He lived his life with doors being opened before he reached them, to not have to wait in line, to get exactly what he wanted at a stamp of his spoiled little foot or the first sign of a manipulative paddy. If that is how you were raised, to be entitled and privileged and to be top spare dog, then that is set deep into your psyche of who you are and how you expect to be treated.

All that ended when he made the choice to leave the UK and then for him and his wife to throw hand grenades at the Firm and ALL the ordinary hard-working people who had paid towards their lavish lifestyle via our tax monies.

I doubt he will ever obtain sufficient emotional maturity to 'own' his behaviour and choices and consequences - it will forever be everyone and anyone else's fault. He is aided and abetted by a wife who appears to want all the (in)fame(y) and entitled privilege that comes with her jealous guardianship of her marriage titles and greater female jealousy that she would never be top over nor even spare to HRH Catherine, Princess of Wales.

If they wanted a quiet life, they could have it. They don't. They seek publicity. It's a soap opera and even more popular that Rachel's previous soap opera, Suits. Shame it does not put her in the line for an Oscar or even a star on Hollywood's walk of fame.

If your theory is right about H throwing hand grenades at The Firm; it could be that he has resorted to that because his father and brother won’t actually pick up the phone when he calls like normal people.

Nothing will ever resolve unless they actually thrash it out together. Or are they planning on this saga continuing throughout William’s reign too? Even if they hate Harry’s guts, the best move pragmatically speaking, would be to reconcile.

It’s not that difficult to stop the soap opera. It’s interesting that they don’t.

The Firm I reckon don’t want it to end because it is drawing press attention away from other members of the family, especially from AMW, and his impending charges. If charges are ever made of course.

jumpintheline · Yesterday 10:39

Their security should have joined the parents whatsapp group. The highest most classified intell you are ever going to get re traffic and the school run.

jeffgoldblum · Yesterday 10:40

I’m finding these attempts at shaming people into shutting up almost as amusingly tedious as the constant ridiculous self seeking behaviour of ham !
6 years! , yes 6 years of this tactic hasn’t worked and it’s boring now , here’s the thing, people having a different opinion doesn’t make yours the correct one and theirs wrong , criticising stupid behaviour isn’t hate .
when you find yourself with a different opinion to the majority of posters on a thread perhaps it’s time YOU reevaluate your opinion instead of trying to attack and shame everyone else into changing theirs.

Right.

But what would the material difference be? Was traffic stopped to allow Archie's 'convoy' to get past on the Montecito school run? I doubt it!

capsandhelmets · Yesterday 10:40

I hope they won't get tax payer funded security.

capsandhelmets · Yesterday 10:40

Our country can't afford throwing away money.

Harry, Meghan and kids aren't of much importance in the line of succession.

No other royals get that sort of security but H&M are putting them ALL at risk by constantly drawing attention to the topic of security.

I bet their royal relatives are so very fed up of the chaos they create wherever they go.

I think Charles has done his best under the circumstances. William will never reconcile and I think his reasons are obvious and understandable. Charles will always keep them at a distance and tightly controlled.

And to address the wierd “Sussex defenders have absolutely nothing left” comment.

Er, do you not think it possible that many of us who dislike people being bullied on line whoever they are, just don’t see the situation in those divisive terms in the first place.

Most sensible people know that rich people move back and forth between different countries and have children in one country during term time and then go back “home” in the holidays. I believe the Sussexes were planning to spend Christmas in Montecito all along? It’s not very unusual.

So your “peddling false narrative” comments are indeed a pretty good example of frothy and unhinged rhetoric! Sorry!

Well done, you suddenly realised you'd not replied to my first post at all, didn't you?
Oops!

So your “peddling false narrative” comments are indeed a pretty good example of frothy and unhinged rhetoric! Sorry!,

Please don't be sorry.
Why do you need to apologise for proving me right?
"frothy and unhinged rhetoric" makes no sense at all in response to what I said.
And, worse imo, it wasn't even amusing.

(Just as a by the by, you're aware ChatGPT squanders resources, aren't you?)

His mother died because she didn’t wear a seatbelt and got into a car with a drunk driver.

William manages to not be overly paranoid, they publish freely where their children go to school

Edited

Interesting that people always mention the seat belt and the drunk chauffeur and leave out the posse of journalists chasing the car.

Why Should KC and PW bury the hatchet with HAM? They have zero obligation to thrash it out with someone who did a tour of the worldwide media and said horrid, unproven things about them for tabloid consumption. There was no proof to any of HAM's claims and The Royals were not about to get in a he said she said war, as HAM very well knew.

I think PW has a big pair of brass balls for refusing to engage with his brother and his awful wife. Don't be pressured into forgiving people who treat you like shit just because they are faaaaamily.

Absolutely this! They shouldn't indulge them.

Former Head of royal security on BbC news saying in answer to suggestion that they should get security because they are very visible and prominent. And the former security head said they are visible and prominent because of their own actions, I suggest keep a lower profile if you want any kind of safety and security. And it will depend on intelligence.

Everybody is seeing right through them. Look at us we're here waving to all the would be dangerous folk. We need protection.

No, they don't. It's just that it has been proven that this need not have ended in tragedy had Diana been wearing a seatbelt, and the driver not been intoxicated and taking risks. They could have stayed at the suite in the Ritz and been safe.

I would only assume that the private schools that these families use get their kids to school fine the security at these schools is up to date, and they manage day to day.
