Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

There's a level of paranoia at play, or obsession. Either way, it's not healthy.

Ironically, the way they are behaving makes it more likely that anyone anti-Royal and has some MH issues might put them at risk!

Westfacing · Yesterday 08:38

I find it unbelievable that they didn't do a few practice runs to the various schools and back! Shows how little preparation has gone into this return to the UK

And how come the new school suddenly had two available places? Good prep schools are usually over-subscribed

But there is a lot of speculation that the school run 'danger' is a red herring, it's not genuine, and just an excuse to try to get tax payer funded security.

Exactly. Even this stupid pair surely must realise this. Is this what they want?

We could have told them about the Dragon…& given thoughts on other schools :).

Parents who are protective of their children do not generally:

. post photos of them online
. talk about their personalities publicly
. reveal their location
. reveal the family’s travel plans
. constantly brief the papers to keep themselves in the news
. take them from their familiar environment, home, friends, school at a moment’s notice
. cynically use them in a bid to get security provided by the taxpayer
. keep them from their wider family
. publicise details of their schooling

Exactly this. They are both appalling parents. Anonymity is the greatest protection anyone can give their children. And not in the narcissistic performative way like Meghan does by slapping emojis over their faces. There are hundreds of famous and wealthy people whose children all go to school without any problems, and the vast majority of them do not fit the criteria for security either.

The major difference is that those parents make their lives so boring that nobody would even care about the kids. I know a few extremely wealthy families and discretion is placed above everything. They basically stay safe by knowing that nobody knows who they are. They often change surnames via marriage so they're not traceable to a household brand or famous family. They enjoy the highest level of freedom and luxury without any intrusion from the press or public.

Why move from a Country that allows weapon’s, to a Country that doesn’t allow them for private citizens. Then expect to have armed security when it has been made clear to them that they are private citizens. This couple are very manipulative, even using their poor children to get what they want. How did the press even know about this situation!

notimagain · Yesterday 08:44

The press learned their location this week, yes M posted the photos but the press have compared these photos to satellite imaging to find them (stalkers much!).

H&M are slack as heck with their personal security (even though H will probably have had lectures on this during his time in HM Forces ).

Anyone with half a brain would know that the bridge lake combination in the images might have been a giveaway, the avenue/driveway (where the deer are seen) is also very distinctive....put two images together and add in the Wace connection and it would have been fairly easy for a decent journalist to geolocate the property, even just from estate.aganet images.

Now I know the above, the Press know that, and H at least should know that....

So either they don't care about being located or they actually want it located.

If they don't want to be located then they shouldn't post those sort of images on publicly accessible Social Media, or at least they should think about altering the background in some way...

The most horrific part is that it actually feels like M&H are using their children as human shields and waiting for something to happen so they can blackmail the RF into providing security.

Does make you wonder are H & M doing this to try and force the decision regarding security provision? Hope not.

That's exactly what they're doing. Those kids will be messed up already no doubt. Won't happen though, poor old ham.

They want to be located. They want to be able to shout that they are being harassed so they drip feed clues and if the press doesn’t pay attention one of their ‘friends’ drip feeds another story.

They are desperate for attention.

This is another cock up because they don’t have any sense.

They could have such a lovely life if they just stopped their attention seeking and settled down quietly in either the US or UK.

So where ARE they living? Just dived into the Mail and nothing there but everyone on this thread seems to know!

I was wondering this too. I lived in North Oxfordshire a long time ago and there are dozens of lovely isolated private schools they could have chosen rather than The Dragon. FFS. Between them and their staff, were no brain cells deployed?

Haven’t W&C got a deal with the press that then will permit/provide regular significant photos such as first days of school and birthdays, and in return they are left alone. And it’s worked - it’s public knowledge their kids were at Lambrook, coming and going most days, and just left to get on with it.

I don’t hate H&M, but I find their behaviour laughably hypocritical. Complaining about press intrusion and then plastering things on social media. The endless “leaks” and now this drama.

As others have said, plenty of royals just get on with life.

MeridaBrave · Yesterday 08:51

My reading of it was that the original school was further away and at rush hour the traffic was bad / unpredictable. I mean surely could have predicted this in advance.

We don’t know but the feeling is it was the ‘old’ one.

If them, I’s have prioritised the school first & then decided on somewhere to live.

Well yes - fit the house around the school at this early stage!

I'm sure they haven't bought a house yet and there must be plenty of suitable properties in any given area

JSMill · Yesterday 08:54

I can’t believe how they are using their dcs to push their agenda. This whole story stinks. Why would two minor royals need a convoy to go to school? Why wouldn’t professional security personnel have anticipated issues with morning traffic? And how on earth were they able to suddenly find places in another school?

Are they actually living there? Could they have been visiting or spending the weekend?

It's literally to push the we need security crap. Just like their NYC 'car chase'. They are repulsive, using their kids like this.

I think it’s really difficult to understand this sort of behaviour unless you’ve actually had people like this in your life. My PILs are narcissistic, and their behaviour only really started to make sense when I realised that they didn’t actually care about their son in the way you’d expect parents to. They would quite happily discard him if he was no longer of any use to them. Yet they always managed to see themselves as the victim, while treating other people appallingly.

I remember when we were going through a particularly horrendous time with my PILs, the Shannon Matthews case had happened quite recently. I remember a psychologist saying something about Karen Matthews that really stuck with me. I’ve actually just looked it up again, and she was described as showing severe emotional immaturity, putting her own needs above those of her children, and being capable of calculated deception.

Once you’ve seen that sort of behaviour in a parent up close, you start to recognise it. It’s quite uncanny really once you’ve experienced it yourself.

ANNotherWriter · Yesterday 09:02

So will someone here say where they are living?

Lots of references to the bridge in the photos but no one has yet said where it is.
