I would imagine if RAVEC go in their favour, a condition will be a low profile. This could be an own goal for HAM. A low profile means absolute obscurity which is their worst fear

I'll go through it one more time.

This Prince is small. That Prince is far away

I don't normally say this sort of thing but I wonder if Archie has been photoshopped in? It's just such an odd thing for a 7 year old to do. And why is he always on his own?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but lots of us would take our kids in a tiny boat on a pond without life jackets. Not on a lake, but this looks like a shallow pond. It would have largely dried up during the summer.
Obviously, proper sailing or fishing on lakes, everyone wears a lifejacket, but it's really not true that HaM are being extraordinarily negligent here. I think a large percentage of parents would be similarly negligent in this case. (Parents who can swim and whose kids can swim).
I appreciate if you are sailing types you are probably a lot stricter.

It's funny, yours is the second apology I've had today.
Mind you, I don't think the first one was in good faith.

Obviously, I'm sure you're doing the very best for your children and I know it's very unlikely that things may go wrong.
Its just not a risk I'd be prepared to take with my children (or grandchildren now).
As MN says "You do you".

It's true that the more experienced you are, the more things you know could go wrong.
The fact it's a "tiny" boat makes it worse and more risky, not better as I think you're implying?

I bet the Princess of Wales, an experienced sailor, would be more cautious with her children near water.

They travel on country roads in a 'convoy' and complain about the traffic?

What happens when they get stuck behind a tractor? Or a lorry loaded with bales of hay?

🤣 surely not! He’s her fox afterall!

Jesus JG!!!
At least give a health warning if your going to spam the thread with stuff like that. I'm now going to invest in copious amounts of wine eye bleach to rid myself of the sight of the thrusting ginge.

They call in the Marines and charge it to the taxpayer.

Don't think the Marines will be in too much hurry to answer a call from H. And it's a bit off their patch, isn't it? Can't get much further from the ocean wave in England.

Come on, it's for Harry and Meghan!

@jeffgoldblum Is that one of the cat videos which came above the Box Office receipt ratings over Cookie Queens . Just asking 😊

I like a cat video myself , particularly the cat trying to print something out "effing Lexmark " classic of its genre.
Back to the thread.

Lili’s in that picture too, she’s stood close to Harry.

If there are risks and they get security, how long before there’s issues? Because there’s probably going to be a gap between what the close protection officers want things to be and how HAM want things to be now they’re private citizens - I would think the officers would want things to be as discreet and low key as possible and advise certain things like not giving away your location. We know HAM don’t want discretion and will advertise their location as much as possible. Will they stop that once they get their way?

At the heart of this is a conundrum for the RMC and Ravec: if two adults are creating risks for themselves and their children, how do you determine whether they should have publicly funded security? Not a question they have ever had to ask themselves before, because the norm for high profile individuals is that they behave sensibly and don't expose themselves to unnecessary risks.

I'm a sailing type and really do "respect the water", as per the RNLI's campaign to reduce water-based fatalities and injuries.

The real risk with rivers is in seemingly safe shallow paddling areas which conceal deep drop-offs and other hazards. The number of tragic deaths in seemingly safe inland waterways this summer is a case in point.

All these candid snaps are suddenly less sweet when you ask ‘who took the photo?’

Totally and utterly second this. They are like stills from a wedding (or movie). Poor taste. False. Self centred.

Starryfifty · Today 14:15

What is perceived as a threat ? Kidnap? HAM are so dim, they assume heckling is a threat. Armed security won't stop hecklers, eggs thrown at them etc

TheRealHousewife · Today 14:15

Princess Anne regularly catches the tube 🚇 H&M can’t even get their HaMsters to school!

I recall William on a walkabout and a girl jumped out and hugged him shouting "a real life Prince or something " 🤣 no harm done but he was certainly vulnerable. Will H perceive this as a threat ??? Wher is the line ?

It occurs to me that either
A) the private security firm aren't very good, or
B) they are giving good advice, but H & M aren't taking it.

Let's face it, Harry's beloved mother had private (Fayed) security on the night of her death, and it's fairly well-established that if she'd not given up her Royal protection then there's no way she have been allowed into that car, with that driver (in fact, they'd probably have told her not to leave the Ritz at all). Is this why H is so desperate for official security??

I watched an interesting documentary with a retired close protection officer who said if he'd been with Diana that night there's no way he would have agreed to her leaving The Ritz that night. Okay, the paps were massed outside baying for photos but couldn't get inside the hotel, so Diana was perfectly safe. By unnecessarily leaving the hotel she was immediately much more vulnerable and exposed. But Dodi was loving all the excitement and attention and wanted to show off to Diana. Playing the big man, urging Henri Paul to outrun the paps, imagining himself in some crappy action film.

Diana was loving all the excitement too, or she wouldn't have updated the press on her whereabouts.

Happy family photos of the Sussexes seem to be all over SM today. Compare and contrast this with the other one posted on this thread today. Standout feature is Lili's recently-acquired perm.

It's pathetic, isn't it? Edward gets the tube as well, Sophie cycles round London.
It's only Harry who is special!

Yes but we gingers are very easy to spot. I am a private citizen but I always wear an angora orange beanie (AOB) when I leave the house so I can remain incognito.
