Clearly any attention is better than no attention. Naughty children syndrome.

Theres no scenario where they come out on top. I can’t believe they listen to what anyone says to them.

Morning all! I have a series of engagements with coffee and laundry today. #VIP

I'm intrigued by this 'stepping back from the Sandringham agreement' madness. Surely they can't ever expect any money help from Charles again if they do that? Has Ian Wace been so generous that they feel bold enough for that? Or is it all testing the water?

Honestly don’t think that they plan anything, this was a knee jerk response to being told no publicly, if they actually engaged their brains for a millisecond and thought about things properly they would not be in this position in the first place.

Angela Kelly is apparently releasing a documentary. While I don't like to think of her revealing the Queen's private moments, she will have some interesting angles on tiaragate.

I think she did truly love and respect the Queen, so I don't think she'd say anything too revealing. I enjoyed her book, and would like to hear more about the clothes and the travel.

Her version of tiara-gate would be interesting, though, and that's fair game, since H has already put it out there.

Thedom · 13/09/2026 11:31

I just watched the T0m Sykes / Andrew Lownie YouTube episode and it really is one of the better ones. Well worth a watch.

Today I am hosting a lunch recognising the contribution of the war time generation to this country, and supporting inter generational learning and resilience.

Aka having Mum over for lunch, DD will be here as well (as usual).

Talking of the clothes, has any one been to the exhibition at Buckingham Palace? My sister had a spare ticket so I went along, and was surprised how interesting it was. And such beautiful stuff from the 40s and 50s, I had major dress envy. We even found one my niece loved, reverse image searched, and may well have sorted the prom dress issue....

If he is genuinely fearful for his own or his family's safety, he could behave in ways that would be more likely to reduce risk. Things to avoid might be:

publishing his itinerary before travel when unnecessary
lots of media hype before travel
rolling down bulletproof windows in cars (more Meghan)
refusing to stay in secure accommodation when offered
ringing strangers' doorbells
ordering takeaway delivery to a friend's house
making public details about his (and others) security arrangements

All of which I agree with, I didn’t say it was logical. But having seen someone go through AD withdrawal I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

IAmATorturedPoet · 13/09/2026 11:34

I’m just musing on this rather strange PR theory that Lownie and Sykes were discussing.
Do we know for sure that Sachs are representing them both as a team/brand? Could they be representing MM but not Harry and he’s left to do his own PR? (which seems to be to double down on being a victim).

Baital · 13/09/2026 11:36

How's this for a theory?

When they were pontificating about how they tackled racism at the heart of tbe establishment, commonwealth as empire 2.0 etc they were at the height of their US popularity, because it fed into the US national myths around the UK/independence. They 'won' awards etc

So they are trying to get back to that - 'expose' how awful the UK is, to appeal to the US market?

I feel sorry for the kids. I hope Harry does get security (at least whatever Liz Truss gets) because the kids are so vulnerable.

You don’t need to feel sorry for them. They’re lucky enough to have parents with luxury mansions, all fully staffed, in three separate countries, so they can easily afford top-quality security for them.

Cross it off your worry list! 😀

Wasn’t it all exposed as a web of lies, though? Like most of their nonsense.

Yes it was - like pretty much everything else they said.

And I’m not listening to any lectures about racism from an American. They should focus their brave crusade on some of the pockets of racism there.

I hope they dont get taxpayer funded security. I dont want to pay towards protecting people who dont need protection but want it so they can pretend that they are important.

If they want to pay for private security thats up to them but why the hell should the uk taxpayer be expected to fork out our hard earned money on security for that whinging pair of parasitic grifters. I hope ravec decides to refuse again as they have already done repeatedly.

They are private citizens and ravec has assessed their risk previously as not needing the level of security they want. They only want all the bells and whistles because its what William and his family have and Harry is desperate to look as though he is royal and important.

Tom Sykes thinks Charles will cough up for beefed up private security, that it won’t be the taxpayer funded armed security Harry is demanding. He also joked how bad it would look if their RPO pulled a gun on someone outside SoHo house 🙂.

I agree, but as a pp said recently, brace yourself for news of a dramatic car chase through the Cotswolds with Meghan in tears and Harry in full indignant mode.

They’ll have to stage something to make it seem we’re interested!

I don't know. The very best thing for KC is getting them out of the UK. HAM want armed security (whatever KC and PW have) or nothing

Well if we believe rumours and Neil Sean , apparently they are not in the Cotswolds at all but Northamptonshire instead! , take that as you will 🤷‍♀️

Well property does tend to be less expensive in Northants.

Of course it was, but most people don't follow that much detail. They just clock the headlines and accusations. Especially if the accusations fir with their preconceptions.

Quite, I hope KC won’t do anything to encourage them to stay here.

I think Portugal is the perfect place! (No offence intended to that fine country.)

I think Charles should cut them off financially. Give them no funding at all. The selfish overindulged overprivileged ungrateful pair have been handed everything on a platter that ordinary people could only dream of and they have squandered it. They are leeches. Charles at least seems to understand how much their behaviour is annoying uk taxpayers.

In this financial climate, with people struggling to afford to live and feed and house their families and pay their bills, it is incredibly distasteful to see tone deaf entitled leeches constantly demanding money.
