I raise your privilege-plus-meh-IQ perniciousness and add on obstinate and reckless; and there's the full hand.

I am cowering under the sofa.

M&S have their Xmas goodies in store. With a big stand of the chocolate tins & a sign saying “Buy now, put in the cupboard!” Or similar… Buy now, scoff them all, buy more!

Morrisons had Christmas stuff opposite their "back to school" stuff in August!

Morrisons had Christmas stuff opposite their "back to school" stuff in August!

I was in a garden centre last Saturday and they had displays of Easter eggs next to the artificial Christmas trees.
Bonkers.

From the Office of Baital:

Today the Baital Foundation gave a significant donation to the local hospice in recognition of the vital work they do in the community.

Aka I bought 2 books for £1 in the charity shop clearance pile.

Hello reporting that they’re changing schools.

Convoy ? How many SUVs are needed to transport 2 small children to school ?

I have not got time to comment about Uganda but on this subject the answer is simple …harry has stacked the board of invictus with sympathetic people and is paying them very generous salaries….

And one/some/all trustee(s) are approving and signing off on Harry’s expenses.

I don’t think it’s in the interest of the trustees to rock the boat.

If Meghan knew then what she knows now…

I'm not sure , but from where she was at the time I still reckon she would still have married him. She's still massively up on the deal.

And I always say it , I hope they were properly in love . Call me an old romantic ( resounding chorus of "You're an old romantic Basilisk" 😂) but I just do not like to think that that marriage which has resulted in two children was a cynical exercise, on one part at least . Sadly , increasingly, I'm not so sure , but the optimist in me wants to believe it was not.

Hello reporting that they’re changing schools.

Well there were rumours that the school they were at was in the middle of Oxford. It’s not rocket science to work out that the traffic to and from there would be heavy. What sort of shit shower are they employing that don’t realise that would be a problem 🙄

100% agree - Murdoch was 25 years older than Jerry Hall - similar age difference with Jackie Kennedy and Onassis….

Both of these were much higher social status than MM - so she would be lucky to get anyone in their 70s at her current age - as the more power and wealth these men have the younger their pool of partners.

IMHO if there were to be some relationship with a billionaire I think MM would try to take Marion Davies as her model.

Rich old (married) fart (WR Hearst) takes up with much younger not very famous actress and buys her a career. Although to her credit Davies was considered a talented comedic actress. Hearst just wanted her to be a dramatic actress, too. She wasn't very good at it.

Problem is that the richer and older they are the younger they want the woman. Hearst was 53, Davies 19 when they took up together. Anna Nichole Smith was 26 and JH Marshall was 89 when he bought her a career. If MM waits any longer she'll have to find her next husband/sugar daddy in a nursing home!

Who'd have guessed there'd be school traffic? Terrible planning. Those poor kids.

Quite, what utter cock.

Also amusing their crack security team didn't consider there might be more traffic when school restarted!

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 19:43

If they are having to change schools this early then either they didn't do due diligence or proper preparation ( shame on them ) or this is a stunt. No idea. But for the love of Betsy , wouldn't you try to make your children's starting at a new school in a new country as easy as possible. That's a proper sigh from me.

ETA cross posted with those who also - check the traffic when the schools are back FFS. If these are the people who H asked to write a report for Ravec , I hope it will filed carefully in the bin.

Those poor children. This story is very likely a Sussex plant. My main thought is that they are terrible parents, making a massive fuss about security and not ensuring security was sorted out to their satisfaction before coming here. If the school is the one in north Oxford I think it is, it's a stupid choice for a family so concerned about security.

HAM need to be careful not to have the doors of all Cotswolds' prep schools closed in their faces. If I were head of a prep school, I would not give the children places, in order to protect all the other families from the drama the Sussexes always drag in their wake.

Did the lolly pop lady split the convoy up 🤣

They are so ridiculous.

Puzzledandpissedoff · Yesterday 19:46

I hope to god that Hello piece is as much rubbish as so many others; it doesn't bear thinking about that the kids have been uprooted from their country, their friends and their new school in about 2 weeks

If the route's congested surely that could have been discovered before they went ... unless this is just another attempt to "prove" they're not safe, and playing with the kids' lives because of Harry's mania doesn't bear thinking about either

a very valid point, @IdaGlossop. Excellent private school's don't exactly struggle to attract pupils, and it's hard to believe many would want this hassle

As I said last week they're not obliged to keep pupils if things really aren't working out either, so H&M would do well to be careful if only they were capable

@bluegreygreen it was rumours as I mentioned. It was not in print in the UK media but was online.

And now H is leaving/has left African Parks. Not sure when in September he steps down. But the in-print accusations of the Chad government to included misuse of funds & resources.

Prince Harry chad charity: Chadian government cuts ties with African Parks which has links to Duke of Sussex

“Over four pages, the ministry alleged grave breaches of contract and financial irregularities, accusing the charity of keeping unaudited accounts and not being transparent over how funds were raised, managed and spent.”

What was notable was how quickly the story was smoothed over and Chad returned to the fold after such bold accusations.

Traffic increases when the schools go back. Doesn't everyone know this? Even people who aren't parents know this.

Hello reporting that they’re changing schools.

I reckon it was the Dragon School in Oxford as had been hinted at elsewhere. I said they’d soon get bored of the school run given the traffic in Oxford.
Classic H&M, not planning or researching the realities. 🤦‍♀️
