Continuing the criticism…still interested, still not bored….

I just wanted to say hi and thank you for the past 9(??!!) threads. It all sped up so quickly after the relocation - I’ve only just finished thread 35 to now realise it’s on 38. It’s the OCD in me and I can’t bear skipping anything.

hope you’re fully mended @jeffgoldblum . I noticed you were missing when some ‘flattered but not interested’ comments were due. Back to read thread 36 from scratch. I’ve enjoyed everyone’s input!

H's engagements are not official because he holds no office. They are not public because he is not representing the Crown or state. They are private arrangements of little to no interest to anyone other than those directly involved.

I totally agree with that. But you made me think of another angle. I read a fair amount of the transcripts of what Trump says. And most of it is "sanitized" by the media. What he says, and what is reported are quite far apart, when you add in the words that Trump says that surround the words that are reported. Well... he is mad as a hatter.

I don't think the media are at that stage with the dynamic duo :-)

However sympathetic I am towards the children who do you expect to pay the additional 5millon per year this would cost the taxpayers?

What sort of brand would be created from such chaos? Given that they don’t just want to be notorious, they want to earn big bucks? Who actually pays for pure arseholery?

I hope they dont get taxpayer funded security. I dont want to pay towards protecting people who dont need protection but want it so they can pretend that they are important.

If they want to pay for private security thats up to them but why the hell should the uk taxpayer be expected to fork out our hard earned money on security for that whinging pair of parasitic grifters. I hope ravec decides to refuse again as they have already done repeatedly.

They are private citizens and ravec has assessed their risk previously as not needing the level of security they want. They only want all the bells and whistles because its what William and his family have and Harry is desperate to look as though he is royal and important.

As they're private citizens, their public engagments are only public in as far as they involve interacting with the public. So the same as me going to the corner shop or the pub. Should I announce those too?

If H is genuinely as fearful for his own safety as he sounds he must be living with intolerable levels of anxiety. He’s either on ADs or in withdrawal from them, both mess horrifically with your brain.

And if that is the case, then I feel very sorry for him. But that doesn’t mean he should be given everything he or his wife demands.

Angela Kelly is apparently releasing a documentary. While I don't like to think of her revealing the Queen's private moments, she will have some interesting angles on tiaragate.

I don't think this is at heart a 'PR' problem.

The problem is the substance, or lack thereof. Other than being related to the King, what exactly is their role? What do they DO? As Ever is a damp squib and I expect it to be quietly wound up soon. I'm actually surprised it's lasted this long. Their media deals have expired and won't be renewed. I don't see Meghan getting back into acting. And imo there's zero chance they'll ever be working royals again.

So who are the Sussexes and what do they do? They are both only in their 40s, still relatively young. They need to look for some sort of focus and purpose, because playing faux royal isn't where it's at.

I don’t think she will. She was fiercely loyal to HMTLQ and I would be surprised if she wrote anything that the Queen wouldn’t have sanctioned. I’ve always expected her to turn up on the cruise circuit as a speaker. I still think she might.

unpacking and organising household food related enterprises ( putting the shopping away )

transporting and visiting urban centres with my trainees ( taking kids to town)

overseeing sanitation of household and textile products ( cleaning the house and doing laundry)

If he is genuinely fearful for his own or his family's safety, he could behave in ways that would be more likely to reduce risk. Things to avoid might be:

publishing his itinerary before travel when unnecessary
lots of media hype before travel
rolling down bulletproof windows in cars (more Meghan)
refusing to stay in secure accommodation when offered
ringing strangers' doorbells
ordering takeaway delivery to a friend's house
making public details about his (and others) security arrangements

I’ve worked in communications/PR for years, although in-house rather than an agency. So willing to admit I could be wrong.
but.
This would have to be the worst executed PR strategy I have ever seen, or the HAM’s PR agency actually hates them.
There seems to be no objective or purpose, other than creating headlines.
Who is their audience? Who are they trying to win over? Their constant blame shifting and perpetual victimhood will and has turned off audiences from the A list to the general public.
They continually react emotionally with their ‘clap backs’ instead of taking the time to reflect and respond appropriately.
What they’re doing is the very opposite of what you’d want to see in a couple who want to be global ambassadors. They display the very opposite of intelligent, mature, hardworking people of integrity and character.

I truly cannot understand what their PR strategy even is at this point. It’s straight out of the 90s and very poorly executed.

Discussing local issues with a a focus group (gossiping and moaning in the pub)

Assisting in an animal sanctuary (flea treating the cats)

Bereavement counselling and motivational speaking (calling my friend).

What public citizens we are! I demand my motorcade forthwith.

We are! , I think we should split it, seeing as we both have a mixture of in house and public engagements I will send the outriders to you after my urban visit and we can share the security officers between us! , that should cut the costs for the taxpayers.
