The thread title was very prescient @jeffgoldblum

Has there been a response to the unfriendly Ugandan relations yet? I can’t imagine what response would be appropriate but I’m here for it. 🍿🍿🍿

I’m no fortune teller or expert privatecitizen but with ham ? …clap backs are always incoming! 😁

The comments are brilliant:

Would a trebuchet be subject to a congestion charge? The website isn't clear on the matter.

My local Homebase has only 30 minutes parking. Could they get the battle done in half an hour?

You're forgetting the Cambridges can use the A1M whereas the Sussexes have terrible roads and have to get over the downs! They can't take trains either as there's permanent engineering works at Three Bridges. Harry's been stitched up again!

SqueakyDinosaur · 09/09/2026 16:33

I think William would be perfectly within his rights to hand off Cambridge to George if he wanted to. Viscount (James) Severn got upgraded to Earl of Wessex at 15 when Prince Edward was created Duke of Edinburgh. But if he hasn't, then AFAIK it is still his.

Don’t forget! Harry’s greatest weakness, all William needs is to equip his men with dog bowls and it’s game over!

Also, don't forget that in their new home in the Cotswolds, H&M are surrounded by Princess Anne and her supporters. All horses will flock to her and Zara.

Very good!! 🤣🤣 but William is the prince of wales now ! So he has the whole of wales ! Harry’s now out numbered! 🤣

So true!

Something a PP said reminded me of the Sussex invasion and this Twitter post. The way people engaged with the concept and contributed strategies reminded me that it’s not only on these threads that the Sussexes raise an eyebrow and get people talking.

plus Cornwall - so Harry is outflanked!

Plus a small contingent from Rothesay.

AutumnCrowWithdrawsMajestically · 09/09/2026 16:39

I hear that rebels within Sussex are gathering at Castle Goring for vittals before a dawn strike against the Duke’s forces from the rear.

They’ll be pincered by Gatwick North Terminal at this rate.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/09/2026 16:39

I was trying to say that the statement has clarified the standing and given the government and new labour pm a perfect excuse to back out of an agreement that was floated by more sympathetic mps .etc….etc

A worthwhile point, Jeff, and I got what you meant, but what I'm really waiting to see is if they DO back out (and wouldn't it be delicious if they blamed security?)

An obvious benefit would be that his lavishly funded toy being taken away might just precipitate Harry into going somewhere else, but maybe I'm just dreaming

Indeed. My understanding is that a government department can’t blow a contingency underwrite on a time-sensitive project that has no realistic prospect of going ahead.

Harry might not understand this but Lord Allen (the Invictus Chair) will. He’s quiet.

I had hoped you and the others would get my point! , no excuse but my brain is still a tad foggy and I’m not at my usual level of explanation of things , yes it has occurred to me that should Harry really get the treatment he deserves that it might push him in a terrible direction but honestly? He needs to reach rock bottom before he can understand and rebuild something of a better life.

Hello lovelies.
Just sat waiting for my tablets to kick in watching The Professionals and reading the last 8 pages.
Oh I love ❤️ it here!

Anyway, two things.
1)It was mentioned upthread that Harry has spoken to Pa. I wonder if, while waiting to be connected he gets the automated message “Calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes” - because l bet a cheese hat every call he has with anyone in the RF is recorded.

2). Someone asked upthread about how are they paying for everything, I rather enojoy using chatGPT to help me work stuff out.
Anyhow, after working out mortgage payments/local property taxes/low end maintenance costs on Montecito monstrosity perviously -which came to £600k PA, Plus low level security on that place PLUS equal security on the bragged about but never seen Portuguese pad, plus running costs plus mortgage payments (estimated on a £5million property with an 80% mortgage LTV), Plus mortgage payments or substantial rent on the Cotswolds cottage they need a minimum of £2 million PA to cover that.
Now, this is EXCLUDING Security ( which is their single biggest cost estimated to be $£3.5 million, which is £2,584,000), school fees, staff, general spending on bills, food, clothes, travel, cars etc - so realistically we are looking at a post tax income of £6 million needed to just to maintain the lifestyle . And that’s not a Beckham lifestyle either.
Here’s where it gets interesting.
Look at this screenshot from Chat which has worked out how much capital would need to be invested to get £2 million. It’s quite a lot isn’t it even if you manage to get 8-9% return.
So we can clearly see why they are absolutely desperate for us to pay for their security. If Harry’s ‘after dinner speaking fees’ are now $50000AUd thats £26,610. Now, while that’s nice for us mere mortals Harry would have to work 213 days to get £3 million after tax. Do we really think there’s 213 companies every year who would pay him that to hear him speak about himself, his wife and his dead mother ? The after dinner circuit has plenty of grea5 orators on it who people actually WANT to hear.
And where would the other 3 million come from? “Jam”??

S9 here’s the screenshot.
They need around £40 million for £2 million post tax profit.
They haven’t got it. They are shitting themselves.

They are indeed, Jeff, but given their utter failure so far I really would have thought this a time to shut up if either really hopes for any kind of acceptance again

Time and again they show they've learned precisely nothing and that they'll never be able to offer a safe pair of hands, so what's the point of it all now,?

I dont believe they have bought yet in the Cotswolds, they are living free curtesy of some billionaire friend. I also don't believe they own a property in Portugal, again I think someone close to home are allowing them to live there. If Invictus fails they will scuttle back to Cali and blame KC and the UK again.

My thoughts
-took them less time than I expected
-I see the spin is that the letter was William's fault ... They always do that - blame the person who's not currently in charge, forgetting that they will be in charge next.

Honestly, what a deluded pair. They really don't get the hereditary business, do they?

MauveLibrary · 09/09/2026 17:01

I dont think they will be in the UK for long, They know wont be welcomed back in the family and are being completely iced out. They are extremely unpopular in the UK. They have been very firmly told that they arent considered royalty anymore but are private citizens. They wont make any money here to continue their faux royal wealthy lifestyle.

I am hopeful that Ravecs current assessment comes back with the same result and denies them taxpayer funded security. If no security and nothing to grift off and the family has rejected them, then they will be leaving again in very short order.

Harry supposedly wants to cement their status as royalty and his kids as royalty but I dont see that happening if nobody in the family will see or speak to them and that announcement firmly puts them in their place

We know William quite sensibly has refused all contact and is totally ignoring Harrys efforts at forcing some kind of public acknowledgement. Neil Sean alluded that William refused to meet Harry when he returned in July and refused to meet Harrys kids. ( I take this with a pinch of salt but I think its probably correct)

If thats the way the wind is blowing then Harry wont be able to force William into either seeing or acknowledging him or the kids or allowing his kids to meet their royal cousins.

Typical. No evidence whatsoever that William had anything to do with this. In fact, if it was up to William, the titles would have been gone a long time ago

A quick google offers up an estimated wealth in 2026 of around £45 million. So he may get his £2 million pa, though the value of this will reduce with inflation unless he reinvests some of his income.
