King Charles orders Harry and Meghan to be treated like ordinary citizens

Apparently an order has gone out from King Charles saying that Harry and Meghan are to be treated like ordinary citizens as they are not working members of the royal family. That's according to the DM so it must be right. The thought of those two being pleased at being ordinary is too much.

I wonder just how low they will keep their profile and if it's to do with them wishing to be involved in charities. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to set up their own mock royal court.

This statement will be very useful for foreign governments when they fancy doing one of their pretendy royal “tours” yes do come over Harry and Meg so long as you’re footing the security bill of course, well played KC well played 👏👏.

If I gave that letter to my GCSE English students and asked them what could be inferred from it, I’m pretty sure they would interpret it as not only a clarification to those bodies you mention, but also as a reminder to the Sussexes. Inference is subtle as we plainly saw and heard in the speeches that KC gave in America. Levity on the surface but a clear smack down to Trump. Given that there has been a lot of noise coming from the Sussex “sources”, don’t you think it likely that a reminder was needed? Also, Charles was clear when he became king that he understood that this was more important than his personal opinions or feelings (he said something about not being so stupid as to
not realise that he couldn’t espouse his personal beliefs as freely once he was king). So this is him doing what he has to as King. Not as a father

I think some posters are reading through the actual, clearly written lines, suggesting it’s saying ‘welcome back to the fold H&M’ as opposed to what the words are actually saying - I think whomever said ‘smack down’ sums it up nicely! 😂

I would say because he thought he could be something other than a Royal, but has quickly realised that he cannot survive in the wild. He'd probably never paid a bill in his life before. The rest of them know full well they will just have to fend for themselves on very limited talent and skills so aren't stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds them.
