A shiny new thread for September Sussex shenanigans!

I wonder if H or M will be appearing in semi-public any time soon, eg H for 'his charities' or M to publicise some old tat in a jar? They have finally gone to ground for a reason, eg under orders or because they don't want to be seen for a change.

On the apple butter, to be fair to M, this is a seasonally appropriate product unlike some previous launches.

Unfortunately, the product visuals are off-putting. There are so many food influencers on much smaller budget (and without the initial Netflix support) who create and post visually appealing products, so I fail to understand why M routinely fails at this.

Apple butter is a seasonal product that is stocked in grocery stores at a lower price point, so it is easy to add to the grocery cart. Also, a lot of stores offer tastings to push the product as the real homemade version does not have preservatives so needs to sell fast.

IMHO, M's processed product will have a tough time competing.

The 40 by 40 concept was a loose copy of Barack Obama’s 60th birthday initiative sponsoring 60 “change makers”. MM has no original ideas, which is why there is no follow through. There is no original passion or seeds of an original idea - just plagiarism and imitation and greedy desire to go straight to the end product for adulation and lucre. She’s like the Sigourney Weaver character in Working Girl.

She has no original ideas/ thoughts at all. Always jumps on something that has already been done. She so bloody dim and basic. I hate saying it but truly is

Yes - she has no stamina and seems to get bored very easily. I think this was the reason for their problems with Spotify and with dealing with their staff in the US. M and H (well, at least M...) can come up with ideas (maybe not totally original) and then they expect the menial folk to 'make it happen'. They have blessed us with a marvellous brainwave, but they ain't going to do the spadework. They do, however, expect to take all the credit...if things go well. If they don't, well, that will be the menials' fault.

Long-term aims, working hard and slogging at something for months/years, trudging on determinedly through the problems and hard times just isn't what they do.

Would he really be so petty as to force the cancellation in order to make an anniversary year (next year) 'his turn'? I hope that's not the reason. I can't imagine that the gala wholly depends on one of them attending, the charity seemed far more self-sufficient than that. As you say, not confirmed, and CG says they need to discover what is correct about that information. It does seem that everything HAM touch appears to die. That cause and effect looks like it's accelerating since they got back to the UK. Just disaster after disaster, really.

It was reported that H had ideas to interview Trump and Putin however when asked by Spotify how to proceed, he was clueless. He assumed all he had to do was come up with an idea 🙄 they are a ridiculous pair

Becoming globally famous by being in the RF hasn't done them any favours. They literally don't know how to make things happen.

Don’t know but sadly I think he is that petty! , not sure if true but there are rumours of very poor ticket sales after it was mentioned that Meghan may attend! , again 🤷‍♀️ , I don’t think we will find out unless cg and re investigate and release an article.

There are several events each year (William was at one earlier in the summer) so I don't think it would be quite as simple as that.

If it's true, the only possibilities I can think of are that - for whatever reason - Harry's not in a position to attend, and that William's disinclined to enter into the drama of. replacing him

I had to laugh at that picture of Meghan at her desk, sitting behind huge piles of copies of "The Bench" !
