MM misunderstood the meaning of the bracelet(s), as well. <sigh>

(And Steinem misunderstood M, big-style. Steinem was naive. It happens, unfortunately. In her final 13 years, Steinem was captured by identity politics and gender ideology, mirroring people like H becoming a big supporter of Mermaids a decade ago. Anyway, not to derail, so will end the digression there.)

Sadly for Doria her daughter's love of playing with and in the media has extended to her mother. Doria was spotted/stalked at her own place on her 70th birthday and less than flattering pics were published.

That's a shame. Difficult to be under the radar when Meghan is your daughter.

Harry seems to have no learning curve. Not learned from the past, not reflected on his behaviour or treatment of others, not reflected on the impact of all of this. Word salad isn't growth.

Re. the photo... Is it mean of me to assume that MM is the type of person who keeps a stash of printed photos of her with famous people so she has something ready to go "just in case"?

Either that or she has a sideboard filled with framed photos of her with famous people. You know, like a restaurant owner sometimes has on a wall?

Steinham was always a government/Democratic Party operative, from her very early days as a student organiser working with the CIA. It's all well documented.

August 2020. When MM latterly claimed all she was doing was recovering from the freedom flight, the trauma of the RF and finding her voice again. On the contrary, she hit the ground running by getting involved in Democratic Party politics.

Just musing about the photo. Why would you take a photo of a photo you already own? So I think it may actually have belonged to GS, given to her by MM to be displayed in her home. I don’t think Meghan’s snap of it is new.

In the Instagram video linked, shot somewhere in California, Gloria says to Meg "Welcome home, I'm so glad that you're home" and Meg replies "Me too, for so many reasons." Yet Meg just left the US for the UK.

This was at the height of the "Harry and Meghan are wonderful freedom fighters" phase, when they were going to take the world by storm. It's funny watching this kind of thing now, because that didn't turn out so well for them after all.

Perspective: Harry and the wider RF were (are) nothing more than stepping stones to a deranged narcissist's fantasy and dogged pursuit of global adulation.

All I know is that the photos were taken outside her house. If she had any sense she would have kept her own house!

I agree, but of course GS was a very old lady at that time and (it will happen to all of us!) may not have been at the height of her powers. But she was still an icon worth Meghan adding to her collection of 'validators', all with photographic evidence of their closeness and with cute anecdotes like this.

It reminds me of those Victorian insect collectors who pinned butterflied and beetles to a board and put them in glass cases!

Yes, I’m mocking the dumb headline and the way they linked the two articles that are in conflict with one another.

One article says the couples “reportedly drifted” after one couple moved to America. The other says there is a savage plan afoot by the Wales which actually isn’t savage because it’s just to crack on with life.

It’s like they are talking about a set of friends rather than two formerly close brothers and a once beloved SIL.
