I don't think I do necessarily, to be honest. The government and other national institutions have a lot of other people to look after and needs to meet. Aristocratic families have only themselves to look after and keep in luxury. And in some cases that luxury has come about directly from the exploitation of enslaved people and not other sources. Why shouldn't they cough up first, when they can easily afford to?

I’m no expert but I’m sure I read that the government funds were conditional, if they don’t raise the funds they don’t get the money from the government either.

I did wonder if this was a kite flying story, attributed not to one of the regular royal reporters to give them some distance. The aim of any putative kite flying would be to invite H&M to choose to draw a line. Complained and correction issued. Future stories - no complaint or no correction = true story.

It’s a shame they haven’t used the move as the opportunity for a complete reset but instead have upped the ante of briefings and counter briefings, demands and complaints, what a way to live your life.

I think re the Horner lunch story @DandyAF said because of the way the retraction is phrased it is the Sussexes who are saying it is incorrect , not the Horners. I'll go with that with one who knows. Still a bit curious how the DM got it so wrong but hey ho - it's a lunch - not the Cuban missile crisis 😂

I assumed this return was a re-set but it certainly doesn't seem to be. Same old crap. Different country. It's worse for RF and UK as they too close to home

Now they are here it’s even worse, as much as I found them annoying at least they were in Montecito and we could just all collectively roll our eyes but now they’ve arrived to the UK in an explosion of self publicity of their own making and full of demands of being owed apologies and demands on the British tax payer to fund their security my hackles have risen so high they’ve reached outer space.

I would imagine it would be at the very latest within 3 months of the decision but that's speculation.
