Yet another new thread for more Sussex shenanigans!

He will, from time to time, also have to get back to the States but believes that the trip is ‘very doable for a day or two’. Sources believe that the companies that want him to work for them will pay for his transatlantic travel by private jet.

Yet more people expected to pick up his tab.

Mostly, he will be a ‘full-time dad’ which is how he sees himself. A pal says: ‘He is lucky enough to be able to earn really good money in a short time, which he will carry on doing. But he will be at home most of the time and he wants to be very hands-on with the children. That is the whole point of the move.’

Full time Dad? When they are day boarders and even go to school on Saturday plus they have Nannie’s and staff?

I have often wondered if that’s because Harry isn’t actually allowed to access the capital.

But then we're left to wonder who (and when) is?

He told Oprah he still had all his mother's money, but was saving it for the children.

Must be companies with money to burn...

I completely get the Green lobby doesn't like it but the reality is plenty of people manage to hop across the pond for 24/48/72 hours etc using commercial flights on a semi regular basis for business purposes, both to Eastern seaboard or further west....

Some passengers I've met have clocked up almost as many Atlantic crossings in a month as some crew do....

Guess H still thinks he's special...

ForAmberPoster · 28/08/2026 21:42

Following on from the previous thread (and keeping it light) - is Sparebnb not more fitting 😊

basketolympia · 28/08/2026 21:46

The DM article reads as though MM herself was briefing Alison Boshoff, surely not though Confused

Who on earth would employ him ?? His bullshit speeches dried up.

Hope Archie actually likes rugby. A lot of the plan seems to be hanging on this.

Doesn't it just? Poor lad.
Plus there's no chance that Lilibet could have an interest in rugby. Very traditional gender roles.

Starryfifty · 28/08/2026 22:02

Reading a few articles. It's quite evident h was absolutely miserable in the US.

I agree. I'm inclined to think maybe this was for his MH, in which case I hope that he settles and gets help.

Starryfifty · 28/08/2026 22:10

Can the little girl not play Rugby ?

He really should lie low, try to build a relationship with his family but constant leaks suggest he still thrives on drama

I do think that's part of his problem. Amplified by Meghan.

I do think H belongs in a rehab facility.

I’m not sure how all this aggressive scattergun press leaking, planting and briefing from the Sussex PR Machine is remotely helpful to H’s mental state. These people need getting gone, not rewarded with salaries and perks. What a farce.

How the RF extricate H from the shower of shits around him when he’s still playing organ-grinder is a mystery to me.

Yes, my point as well, however, I think Lilibet will be helping Mommy in her closet, or picking flowers or sprinkling them.

Ah ok. Of course. HAM always emphasis very old fashioned gender roles

BasiliskStare · 28/08/2026 22:17

It would not surprise me at all if HAM have found a billionaire to help them out. But as others have said - in your 40s when you have a lot of inherited money , US contracts which might not have paid out the headline number but will still be riches beyond riches - why can't you shift for yourself. I think this content ligging off rich friends will do nothing for their popularity over here. And no-one knows I know , but I think to get back to the title of the thread , they have something of a reputation for accepting / expecting huge favours from rich friends and it's going to take a great deal of PR to reverse that impression.

They do, that's very clear from what the children do on Instagram, and Meghan and Harry themselves.
Archie is lined up for rugby, Lilibet for fashion and hostessing.

AutumnCrowOnTheMold · 28/08/2026 21:23

Probably not. I would guess most of it is in trust funds for tax avoidance.

There's nothing wrong with wanting the private, traditional English country gentleman life. Just odd that they didn't do it instead of the Freedom Flight and OW interview, if that was what they wanted. Now it looks like a second best, failed at Hollywood decision.

It's not unusual for a rugby loving father to hope/expect their son will love rugby.
My husband is over the moon that our daughters play rugby.

I don’t think he is going to be any happier here.

He is one petulant, bitter, entitled man baby. I really don’t think it matters where he lives.

I agree with you. He doesn't have a new job/opportunity. It's the same, quite low key charities. Unless he has a few more in the bag

Very, very true. If he couldn't find happiness with his family in California, forcing his son to play rugby in some posh private school so that he can have second hand enjoyment isn't the panacea he thinks it is.

sickofsixseven · 28/08/2026 22:40

I will be going for a green card medical soon. From my research about what it involves, they do ask about drug and alcohol abuse, both current and historic as well as mental health problems. If there's any suspicion that there's an issue there, they can drug test you there and then and/or deem you inadmissable. Obviously you cant deny or lie about anything when you've admitted to it all in your memoir. I wonder if that has anything to do with this sudden move? If youre an habitual weed user, it takes a long long time to get out of your system, potentially even months for a heavy user
