Would anyone like to make a prediction of what happens next for Harry and Meghan if they return to the UK?

Harry wants to make sure his kids grow up British and with "living" links to the royal family, which can't happen in the US. They're still small and in the early part of their schooling, so now is a good time to move back. His ultimate hope is that his kids will be HRHs and grow up to be working royals, but I don't think that will happen.

2027 is also a "big" year for Harry, with the Invictus Games in Birmingham and the 30th anniversary of Diana's death. Of course he wants to be in the UK for all that.

I totally agree with your first paragraph. I think they've realised that their children's future would be better if they were very much seen as 'royals' and I also think like you do that they might want their children to be working royals one day to assure their future. They know that Charles can't refuse if they want to walk to church on Christmas Day etc, thereby getting themselves recognised as 'royal'.

I think Harry also wants them to grow up with cousins like he did, and they don't have any family apart from Doria in America that they speak to, so Harry is going to fall back on his own family (some of whom he has treated very badly).

Of course he can refuse. Sandringham at Christmas is a private family house party and the King can invite or not invite whoever he pleases. H&M don't get to invite themselves.

And I've said before, I think it would be hugely inappropriate; it would turn a religious festival (as the King would see it) into a media bunfight.

Nope I didn't badger them and they didn't need more time to consider it.

I reported your post, and they said they would delete it.

They didn't, I asked if they'd reinstated it and they said that they had meant to delete and it was an error that they hadn't.

No badgering. No reversing of decisions.

You are actually factually incorrect here as to the status of the post. I have screenshots of each of the 4 stages.

You yourself said in your previous post they needed time to properly consider it. 🤷‍♀️

Read again. This is what I wrote:

“ I had several emails about it with them so they had time to properly consider the post and they confirmed it breached guidelines.”

I said they HAD time to properly consider it, not that they NEEDED it.

So you’re factually wrong about that. As for other info, I can only go by what MN told me.

H&M would counter that stance as un-Christian, charity begins at home, forgiveness and reconciliation etc - their poor ickle shoeless Cali kids left out in the cold peering into the warmth, candlelight and magic of their blood relatives Christmas which their nasty cold grandfather has banished them from. KC3 is between a rock and a hard place on this one. Ditto Catherine with the Christmas Concert where every cousin, IL, Tom, Dick and Harry and their young children are invited, welcomed and included.

JaneJeffer · 01/09/2026 17:37

What took them so long to decide if it was a breach? Very strange carry on IMO

I know what happened as I have screenshots.
I know what you said MN said .
I also know what they have said to myself.

This is confusing for people in general to get a feel for talk guidelines and moderation when things are chopped and changed - in this case 4 times. I am surprised though that MN allow discussions about what they have said to individual people.

Needed time or had more time - to me this still suggests a rash reaction and confusion. As to you " badgering them" ? I didn't say you did but you yourself talked about " several e mails.

Anyway it's time a line was drawn under this so I won't be replying to you any more on this topic . #fishwifegate

H&M would counter that stance as un-Christian, charity begins at home, forgiveness and reconciliation etc

They didn't think of all that when his grandmother was near the end of her life and they couldn't get their arses up to Balmoral to visit her, with the poor ickle children.

Even on the day she died, he managed to make it all about him and M.

So it's a one way thing Meghan keeps up her vendetta against her Dad but all the royals need to forgive them. No I'm not ybuying it.

KC3 needs to protect and present his own dignity with the global optics around his behaviour towards his grandchildren - at Christmas time as head of The Church of England - who are both innocent in all of this. I doubt he would look to mirror the petty, bitter and ugly behaviour of MM. Surely he is better than that nonsense.

Victorius19 · 01/09/2026 19:10

It's rather interesting that 3 of Charles' key staff have all announced they are leaving. His equerry, his private secretary and his personal butler.

Surely all more than a bit of a co-incidence??

I may be wrong but I always thought the equerries were 'on loan' from the Armed Services and it's a fixed-term appointment?

I'm guessing that the other two are retiring

HelenaWilson · 01/09/2026 19:45

It's Jonny Thompson who's leaving. He's leaving the Army after twenty years service. Which pp could easily have discovered with a moment's Googling, rather than making insinuations about it being 'more than a bit of a coincidence'.

Victorius19 · 01/09/2026 19:59

He's been in the role for 7 years, which is unusual for an equerry. Standard postings are indeed 3 years.

No need to be so spiky Hmm

I don’t think KC3’s moral compass and behaviours match those of H&M - he has a global role to play with wise and dignified behaviours displayed. I can’t see how he or Catherine can exclude A & L without judgment.

Meghan gets an acting job - I’d love to have seen her in The Gentleman - it would make me watch it. Harry works with Invictus and other charities he’s already involved either but otherwise keeps a low ish profile. I think they want to build bridges. KCII will be receptive. Meghan is going to save publication of her own memoir, but they’re her insurance policy. They will fly back to US this Christmas but next Christmas will be at Sandringham.

I think what you've said there is probably their dream.

Yes, Meghan got obscured by the pillar candle at the late Queens funeral and then H got feathered during the coronation. Still at least if was across the board and they can't one of them got singled out!

Wonderful wasn't it? Grin

Also, I realise it's only a "snapshot", but what's going on in the expressions of those around Harry? They look horrified at something...

I think that would be great for everyone - H&M, the RF, the British Public. That would be a grounding experience for their DCs and productive for the couple. Their brand value, counterintuitively (for them) would grow.

Harry and Meghan can obviously live 'under the radar' when they want to. No 'new' photos yet. Schools stat back this week too! So we'll see if they release photos for that.

I still think there will be a business collaboration between Geri Horner and Meghan coming soon!

I said this on the PR disasters thread, but if they hope for any real public welcome by the RF it may be that they have no choice but to keep quiet for a while

It won't last though, and if they find something they want really isn't going to happen they'll be off again with leaks and interviews - and I wonder if, in the second, anyone will ever ask them why they actually came back

I can't see that happening. Whatever happens with KC, when William accedes, H & M will be personae non gratae again. William and Catherine will never willingly be in the same room/space as HAM except at KC's funeral - that's my bet.

I don't blame them. Some things are just beyond forgiveness. HAM know this and they're desperate to try and salvage what they can while KC is still in charge. But KC has to safeguard the institution, as his mother did, sometimes at the expense of family and if he royally pisses off William, that will be it!

Just my prediction!

twatwrangler · 02/09/2026 08:54

They might want to build bridges.

I doubt those they’ve hurt will.

Will there be an uneasy truce? I think so but only with KC3.

I don’t think either of them will ever know the sanctity of the inner circle of royals ever again.

Sandringham is a possibility but the guest list will likely be only them and the family formerly known as York.

I still think something is in the offing about the pair of them. They’ve come back to the UK for protection. From what I don’t know. Interesting that Mrs York is coming back too.

SaraHoliday · 02/09/2026 09:00

I wonder what the relationship between Harry, Meghan and Sarah Ferguson is? I wonder if there is allegiance there?
