Why would you wish for a couple to split up and a mother to leave her children behind in another country? Those children are innocent and don't deserve that.

I don’t for a minute want the couple to split up and I never have done. Neither would I ever want the children to be without their mum. But Meghan herself grew up without her mum and I’ve found that when this happens it can either make you the person who could never do it to your own children, or it makes you a person who can. Perhaps Meghan is the latter and all the more-so as she had a father who was a very good father to her just as PH would probably be to their children. She would only be modelling her own life and would of course have all the woke answers as to why it’s a perfectly ok thing to do.

I find it very hard to believe that Meghan would leave the children in the UK and spend a lot of her time away at their 'international bases'... Something does not add up.

The ref to ‘international bases’ was just them and their as ever always delusions of importance/grandeur. They’re too thick to realise that when you make a noise about yourselves the way they do you’re only ever going to dig a big hole for yourselves at the same time - she’s now become a horrible mum who’d think nothing of leaving her kids under the guise of business needs to bugger off back to Monteshitshow.

I think that's a fair point. All the posts in the Tig demonstrate her closeness and affection for her father. He took her to ballet and tap, to nice restaurants, did the lighting for her school plays, encouraged her activities, supported her in acting etc. That was Meghan's reality, without her Mum.
The Sussexes have always employed Nannies as well, so why shouldn't she work away? The children will be cared for.

StrawberryWasp · 23/08/2026 07:28

She already writes them nightly letters anyway, so she can keep in touch that way!

I think Harry has to urgently get out of the USA, so he's coming back with the kids. She doesn't have to get out so she's going to go between the two.

I still find it extraordinary that s mother is announcing her intention to be away from her children 'internationally' so she can continue to pretend she has a successful jam business.

Call me sexist, I don't care.

Especially a mother who's super power is motherhood, who's identity is 'mom', who is momna mountain and who wears 'mama' t shirts.
All very weird.

I stopped looking for logic from them a long time ago.

Which sums up everything about these two.

I don't believe the acting role was taken back because of backlash, there was never one to start with. Netflix haven't commission a 3rd series yet, I believe the reports that Meghan's reps got in touch touting for a role though.

But why is it all being reported as true- even the DM says it has been withdrawn due to 'backlash'

What is the point of the media if they just blindly print press releases and do no due diligence.

Cocolapew · 23/08/2026 08:26

When it comes to these 2 the media seems happy to publish any old shit, if its not true just backtrack a couple of days later.

I think we can all agree, even the Sussex supporters would agree…..it doesn’t pass the sniff test.

We are 4 days in to this leaked announcement that they are coming back and still no one knows why they are coming back. However:

  • Nothing official from them. No actual reason cited.
  • When they are known for clapping back at EVERYTHING! (usually with an extremely childish and unprofessional response by Liam)………they are curiously letting stories run where they deliberately aren’t responding. This now means news outlets will run with a story because they haven’t denied it. Not usually enough for some to run a story, BUT THEY ALWAYS RESPOND, so it’s enough in this case.
  • No clapback to the rumours that Meg won’t be full time in the UK
  • Odd stories about how they could move again. Making this move look like a midnight flit.
  • No clapback to visa rumours, money rumours etc
  • The only rumour I’ve seen any response to is where it said they were selling the Monticeto house, they’ve denied that’s happening. Nothing else has been denied though?

No one can envisage Meg returning. And if we want to get all conspiracy theory…..we didn’t actually see Meg in the UK, in any of the pics of the photo dump she put up of her summer hols. We seen her at Portugal at the beach, we seen her on a lounger on Monitceto. We seen a pic of Scotland, Some pics of Archie and Lillie at Althrop…..no Meg though. No sightings of her, when she was here. There was a confirmation that the Sussexes met with KC and QC though, so she was here for that.

So now Meg will find herself back in the ‘prove it game’. Prove that she’s actually moving here, prove that her marriage is still together, prove that she’s here full time and with the kids full time. How is she going to prove that without putting herself all over SM but then the press deciding they then can share what house they chose etc because she’s no longer being private. At most there will be the odd public visit to somewhere, random nondescript insta posts- but nothing to prove any of the above.

We all keep saying none of it makes sense and this is why these threads will run and stories still run, until we find out something that makes sense.

When it comes to these 2 the media seems happy to publish any old shit, if its not true just backtrack a couple of days later.

It's clicks. The BTL comment lets the publisher know that the public has often read between the lines (or the lies) and so they keep churning it out and watch the money roll in while the readers froth.
It isn't life&death news. If it's incorrectly reported, so what? Proper journalists prefer to spend their time on important stuff, not inconsequential relatives of the king acting like wankers. But they are obviously happy for the wankers to provide their salaries.
In the same way that HaM is also happy to have the taxpayer (me, you) pay his salary.
They are all money-grubbing, vulgar arseholes without a shred of decency.

Just how H&M like it. Get the publicity, get the clicks.
Their names have been in the headlines for days - even on the BBC's flagship programme.
Perfect for them, whatever the outcome.

StrawberryWasp · 23/08/2026 08:38

I'm sure the 'backlash' to the Guy Ritchie job was an internal backlash to the leaking of initial quiet talks.

Guy Ritchie and his team thinking: we were considering this, but if the idiotic women can't keep her mouth shut at this stage we're out.

I really don't think the British public care if she goes back to acting. In fact it would be a relief her getting an actual paid job for honest work. And would provide further hours of amusement to critique her skills.

The backlash was not the public. She pissed off the industry AGAIN

I'm still pondering whether HaM are in cahoots with certain outlets for a percentage of the click revenue. Although the DM seems unlikely.

Yes they get the headlines and they obviously love this.
It must feel like 'winning' to them to be the headlines over the rest of the RF.

But how does it benefit them? It doesn't bring them money or popularity from which to build. They are click fodder for the press and popcorn fodder for us.

They are so dim witted they feed their hungry egos continuously without realising they are poisoning themselves.

billysboy · 23/08/2026 08:42

I thought they left because they didn’t want the press intrusion and public curiosity
This cannot be turned on and off like a tap as Diana found out in the harshest of manners
Meghan will only stick around long enough for the inheritance from Charles and then be off citing security Bla bla

I agree with you. I doubt we’ll see them walking 4 abreast though.

Well there’s no way M will walk behind Catherine! Looking back at the ( few) occasions the 4 of them were together H and M always tried to walk beside them if possible in fact at the walk about for the late Queen , H can clearly be seen gently pulling M back from pushing ahead .

They want publicity, in fact they court it. What they don't want is any scrutiny or criticism.
That's what was behind the court case - shutting down a free press.

Guy Ritchie is friends with William so he will not want to piss him off .

I agree. She essentially has no template for mothering . So she acts the part of a good mother without having a clue what that means. Unfortunately Harry had a very chaotic upbringing himself with an emotionally immature mother and a largely absent father. Neither of them understand what a functional healthy family life is.
