The royal family

Have Harry and Meghan announced their children’s school choice yet?

Has HAMs school choice been announced yet? Moneys not on Lambrook!
Would parents of said school need to be informed? Or because they are no longer working royals would they not need to announce?
Will they go state or private? Can they afford the top private schools now? I gather the state won't pay for their kids education?

Hello are apparently reporting that they are changing schools. Someone posted this on another thread. It certainly sounds like they may have been at Dragon

see here

It does indeed sound like the Dragon.

How sad for all if they’ve had to switch. The article says heavy traffic a factor. If so, that’s surely very poor planning? This aspect can’t have come as a surprise, surely?

Eucatastrophilia · 14/09/2026 20:01

Oh my! I have no interest in ‘royals’ - but if it’s true they’ve had to change schools that must be a nightmare. To spend (surely) a whole summer anticipating, and catching up (where necessary) and being measured for uniforms and trying them on and, and, and … Obviously less problematic for day pupils, but still …

(Oxford prep aficionado 😅)

Eucatastrophilia · 14/09/2026 20:04

And yes, the roads surrounding that particular school in term time … Totally useless to do a recce during the summer holidays!

enpeatea · 14/09/2026 20:05

Is this anyone’s business?

I agree, no.
Let them sort it out themselves

Everyone is aware of the traffic in Oxford, negotiations with the school etc, basic preliminary research would surely have put on their radar?

Sadly, if true, it wasn’t the only issue.

They had trouble keeping the convoy in line and not split up apparently.

noonames · 14/09/2026 20:25

A convoy to take two children to school 🤦‍♀️

GoodnessGraciousMeh · 14/09/2026 20:27

They can't have changed schools if it's the first day today!

If it was the Dragon, I believe they went back at the end of last week

Agree …. So why have H&M briefed the media about the school change, the traffic issues and their security concerns? Do they not want to protect the privacy and security of their own children? Why do H&M believe that the general public need to know this information about their private family life?

Yes. Surely travelling & navigating via any convoy (that must be kept together) in Oxford town centre - problematic? Elementary logistical planning?

RamALamADingDong2 · 14/09/2026 20:46

PlumCat23 · 19/08/2026 23:47

Can they afford private is the question?!

😂😂😂

Omg, don't be silly.
That made me lol.

HolidayHideaway · 14/09/2026 20:48

If any of it is true, disturbing for the kids. Especially after an international move, (Although feels to me CA a very permanent base so maybe not so troubling).

All sounds like a planned debrief to strengthen their RAMAC bargaining position.

But dear goodness. I’ve only driven to Oxford handful of times to drop / collect a uni child & could have told them it would be a mare. And that wasn’t at 8am on a weekday either. Daft sods.

How disruptive for the poor kids.

JSMill · 14/09/2026 20:55

Their security must be really shit if they didn’t realise the traffic in Oxford is awful at
school run time. Why on earth would they need a convoy? This story feels very manufactured.

weegielass01 · 14/09/2026 20:57

where does it say 'convoy' of cars?

with any luck they'll be back in california soon because its not safe here....oh wait, that sounds familiar!

one of mine went to the Dragon, great school but security would be a nightmare. Mine boarded, but doing that journey twice daily would be a nightmare. The school is right on the river on one side and a main road nearby. The kids are constantly in and out of buildings and crossing Bardwell Road daily. Traffic in and out is terrible. I just don’t know how they secure the kids without bodyguards or the like.

You could have saved them the disruption! 😀👍

Lol. This isn’t ringing true, at all…Assuming article accurate…

JulietteHasAGun · 14/09/2026 21:04

According to that article they did two days last week at the now ex school. And today have been to a settling in session at a new school.

Harry and Meghan have been added to the parents WhatsApp group…..really! I find that unbelievable as that would mean the parents would all have their mobile phone numbers!!

If any of it is true that’s a very quick selection of a second school. Maybe spending a bit more time researching the school as well as logistics related to security would be better than kneejerk decisions.

Did they take this school thinking it would give them leverage for state security?

OP posts:
Viviennemary · 14/09/2026 21:08

It must be because they needed to be blue lighted to school with all traffic at a standstill. What a carry on.

No they wouldn’t do that. But car with kids with their security front and back

I know right! Silly me, they would never try to railroad & blindside KC into sorting their security wink😉funny though that KCs letter is starting to make more sense & now the sudden school change... how chaotic Ham are ...
