Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

And she had no connection to the town.

Unlike Matthew Mcconaughey who's hometown it actually is & flew in to spend days with the families & advocate for gun control @wordler

I wonder did he have any thoughts on her grief mongering?

It's an prominently article that calls for plenty of Wineand speculation.

I don't think Victoria Ward found this info out on her own. Yes, the charity accounts are publicly available once they've been submitted and appear on the website of the Charity Commission, but the rest reads like a piece of spin handed to her.

i. What's with the reference to 'Harry was sued' by Sentebale? This is a current court case. Present tense, please, Victoria.
ii. What's with all the crap about Harry passing stuff on to A using his pal's charity in Botswana? More 'birthright' spin?
iii. What convenient publicity about A&L. Oh well, at least one parent will be pleased.
iv. Harry 'whisked Meghan off to Botswana'. I hope this is Victoria taking the piss, even if she's doing it by leaving in some words verbatim from the spin-sheet she received. No-one talks like that, except Sussex PR and Glenda Slagg.

Yes! , all that autumn but when I got to the bottom and read that the charity was closed and the royal foundation took over overseeing it was when I started thinking…mmm! , then we see that many donations had been intended for William and Catherine’s charities…further mmm! , then we see the very low amount left for Harry’s share….mmm! , something is tickling my suspicions bone 🦴, and I can’t quite put my finger on it! 🤔

We have no idea if they have or haven't.

Yes we do. When TM was ill a while back in the Phillipines, he said he hasn’t met H or the dgcs. As not talking to her df is one of the things people dislike about M, I am sure we
woul hear about a reconciliation.

The Wimbledon photo was so amusing, when the papers zoomed in on the photo he was taking it was a selfie of himself and a tennis player in the distance behind him. The poor man had no clue when he was told off for taking a photo of Meghan.

Wimbledon really went down in my estimation for allowing this nonsense. I would have been fuming if I’d been one of the people kicked out of their seats. It’s not as simple as being given tickets for another day. One might have booked a/l for the day, travelled, even stayed overnight in a hotel, not to mention wanting to enjoy a particular match between particular players.

bluegreygreen · 15/08/2026 18:17

Not quite sure what you mean @jeffgoldblum?

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund still produces a legacy amount each year.

It is paid into the Royal Foundation (which Harry used to be involved with). Since he left, his half of that fund is donated to whichever charity he wishes each year (previously Sentebale).

There is a line in the RF accounts documenting this each year.

Mylovelygreendress · 15/08/2026 13:43

I am pretty sure the Palace is aware of a lot of background stuff about Meghan .

I don't doubt it for an instant, Mylovelygreendress, or that it'll include things which few have even thought to speculate about

A lot has been said about what Meghan's gone public with, but not so much about the palace may be able to leak - and probably would if it suited them

Harry ... thrived in the military

Did he though? Did he really? These days I'm wondering where the proof of that is, and whether it was all just another illusion wafted our way by the MIGS.

One of the bits of documentary footage that has since disappeared, about Harry in the army, shows him sitting hungover-looking on top of an armoured vehicle with a fag hanging out of his gob attempting to look cool while issuing some instructions to part of a platoon. I think this part was filmed in the UK. He seemed very contemptuous of the officer training he was receiving.

This. H is a lazy entitled grifter. Every bit of his obnoxious wife

I can’t put my finger on it bluegreen, but the way the story is written seems off somehow, I’m not sure how to explain it but, I suppose it was the inclusion in the article of donations that were made for particular reasons and the disparity between the amounts available to each…., no still not explaining it in a way that makes sense, I’m not implying foul play…more smoke and mirrors…more pr puffery and distraction I suppose 🤔 , I will think about it further and see if I can explain it in a more specific way.

I read a thread on here a few years ago that blew my Irish mind about a lottery & various rules regarding tickets etc, it was fascinating, a total insight to how it all worked so to then see this load of bullshit I had the same thoughts.. not everyone can just go "oh well yeah next week or even day is fine" It made my blood boil cos I was lead to believe as a regular punter/fan the rules are pretty stringent & then MM turns up & it's oh well soz little people *shrug

Beesandhoney123 · 15/08/2026 19:10

Unbelieveable to force people to move so photographers get a good view of her. What nonsense. People are there for the tennis not to fawn over other attendees. Dont think M asks for special treatment at the US open?

The PoW has been the patron for years of lawn tennis? I expect she was terribly embarressed at M behaving like that, and Wimbledon staff going along with it. Suspect she threw her weight about and was a absolute nightmare for the staff.

Prince Harry wants to return to the UK ‘every few months’

Why? For one charity in the UK which he didn't bother his arse with until his dream of global domination blew up. Seems very unnecessary, considering his son cries hysterically (according to H) every time he has to travel with "work"

bluegreygreen · 15/08/2026 19:45

Nothing has been stopping him coming as often as he wanted to come.

A source close to Harry said: “The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he’s determined to make the best games yet. So he’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months.
“The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more. He’s happy these trips can now have more focus on the patronages and be less obscured by the other nonsense. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family.”

Of course, the person who has created the 'nonsense' and 'courtroom drama' is Harry himself.

For the attention he desperately craves I suspect.

Is H in denial about the Sentebale High Court case? Or fearful?

Both the Telegraph and Times stories are Sussex PR confections that are pretending that the Sentebale case is in the past.

Unless there’s been a settlement we don’t know about??

"The way the wind is blowing"

I assume he means the lack of people willing to give him loads of money for nothing and the fact he is running out of countries willing to host tours leaves him with no option but to actually visit the few charities he has left and make as much noise as he can around Invictus knowing he'll be shielded from criticism because it's a good cause?

He must also mean that now he had lost his final court case and owes lots of money he will give up that attention stream. Plus now he has found that tantrums and private "security briefings" don't sway actual professionals he might just have to stop whining and stop briefing the press about his every move.

It must be what he means because the palace and the establishment haven't budged.

He is once again mistaking tea and cake for the Treaty of Versaille.

Talk of the engagement interview reminds me of something they said which I'd (thankfully) forgotten: When asked how the proposal came about they smirked at each other and said they'd been roasting a chicken at the time. I just thought it was a lame attempt by them at being relatable.

It was about six months later on another anti-Sussex forum I discovered "roasting a chicken" has nothing to do with cooking and actually refers to a sexual act.

The despicable duo were even then poking fun at an unsuspecting (and at the time, mainly adoring) public.

Well, I've just gone down an internet rabbit hole and finally understand the engagement interview and the comment about roasting a chicken 😁. Doesn't seem the most romantic way to propose, but wasn't H's comment to a friend after their first date supposedly that she was fantastic because "she'll let you do anything". A true gentleman.

While on the roast chicken trail, I also came across an old quora post from someone who claimed to have been an acquaintance from the Toronto Soho house days, it seemed fairly convincing. He claimed that the rumour at the time was that H was bi and that was the reason he was happy to have Markus hanging around with him and Meghan so much of the time. Could be bollocks ofc, but H does have a history of weirdly inappropriate touching of other men. Anyway, these are the things a person can discover when they start researching the meaning of roasting a chicken 😁

So, him aiming for half-in. Coming back four times a year for royally- type visits to charities, good causes etc while staying at BP and having a 45-min meeting with his dad.

While she is half out, merching and grifting in Cali.

The MIGs really need to get ahead of this.

Now look up "waffle maker".

MM claimed in one interview that QE2 had sent one one of the kids a waffle-maker as a gift. Weird gift firva toddler, I thought.

I'd say the MIGS are fully aware and knew this was coming. Unfortunately, KC is not tough enough

Not2identifying · 15/08/2026 22:36

I don't think it's a case of Charles not being 'tough enough'. They are not royal patronages. Harry is a British citizen. He's allowed into the country and he's allowed to visit charities in the same way that you or I are.

It's true that he could say 'you're not allowed to stay at royal residences if visiting charities because, to the public, it would look like you're a working royal and that would not be good for the monarchy'. But there are downsides to that approach. Namely, that Charles (who does not have a history of being above reproach in the way Elizabeth pretty much did before the Andrew debacle), looks like a mean father snubbing the (adult) child who lost his mum at the age of 12. There's a cost either way and he's decided to go with looking like an okay dad and trusting that the British public will know Harry's not representing the monarchy or a working royal.

Harry's days of being offered palace accommodation are numbered anyway as I suspect the open invitation will be rescinded by William in due course.

Lunde · 15/08/2026 22:56

Hope Harry has given his 4 weeks notice for security assessment - has he also given BP notice that he wants to stay there?
