Also, H has said he wants his children to have the option to be a working royal. How does he propose this when their uncle will be king and zero relationship with him ?

If AMW couldn’t persuade the late Queen to include B and E as Working Royals, Harry has zero chance of persuading William .
It really is quite astounding how little Harry seems to understand about how the RF operates .

BigWillyLittleTodger · 29/07/2026 20:28

It’s apparently fine for Harry to say things about the Wales children, which millions will have seen or read but H&M take umbrage at MD stating his opinion which has a far far smaller audience? Not only are they pathetic at clapping back but the hypocrisy is off the scale.

I’m afraid @MrsLeonFarrell , I’m fully in agreement with puzzled on this one !
step away from who it’s about for a second…evaluate every single comment, slight, lie and action ( done on a global scale for the whole world to see!) and then ask yourself honestly if you could forgive and forget it ? , I couldn’t and I’m sure the majority of people would not be able to either 🤷‍♀️

I think it would depend on whether they showed remorse and apologised if it were me. It's pretty obvious that Harry has had poor mental health for years and has built up a great deal of anger and resentment about his mother's death and his place in the family hierarchy, to name 2 things. If he was able to take responsibility for the choices he has made and truly apologise then, if it were me, I would be open to slowly exploring some kind of family relationship.

Even if something like this happened it probably wouldn't ever be made public and I'm not sure every member of the family would be willing to reconcile, sometimes things that we break can't be mended, but I am never willing to say never in my own family and I think Charles probably feels the same.

He hasn’t called off the ghastly ‘squad’ though, who were and are so abusive toward Catherine, Camilla, Charles and William. You even get the temu versions of squad on this board. Same tactics, same script.

Charles may indeed love the son he remembers having for a long time, and feel a profound longing for what might have been. Charles may believe strongly that H is loved by God, as he would presumably believe we all are. I also think Charles has been hurt and, frankly, fucked off by H; and knows that the monarchy must keep the Sussexes at a distance.

The squad abuse might all be just a bit of PR to Harry, but the concomitant insults from him and his goons toward the UK won’t work in the real world for much longer. In fact it looks like he and his PR obsession could be having a FAFO moment in the High Court.

Do you think they would actually listen to him? I really really doubt it. It's a whole different reality based around a narrative that they have made up and echo back to each other. I'm not talking about posters here but in the more extreme parts of the Internet. I'm pretty sure those individuals could receive personal phone calls from Harry asking them to stop and still think William was behind it in some way. I don't think there is a way of stopping "devoted" fans because it's not about the object of their obsession it's about what that obsession brings to their lives.

You can tell they have literally nothing to do if they spend their time watching Mark Dolan of all people. I bet that’s what the pair of them do all day just sit there watching and reading stuff about themselves and preparing clap backs, what a way to live your life.

I don't think Harry has much in the diary - after all, on the podcast, Harry stated his occupation to be full-time father, retired army officer and being a Duke (without land/property to manage) 🙄

So he can add - full-time gossip reader and failed litigant 🙄

Perhaps it's time to buy another award?

bluegreygreen · 29/07/2026 21:14

I don't think Mark Dolan should have commented on the children - there's plenty of material in Harry and Meghan's behaviour.

I think that Tom Sykes is making a lot out of a short private visit. There's absolutely no suggestion that KC3 wants Harry back as a working royal - but outrage creates engagement where realistic discussion doesn't.

Thedom · 29/07/2026 21:30

I don’t this this is on Mark Dolan, Harry has already announced publicly his kids can be working Royals ‘if they want to be’, that sounds to me like that absolutely could cause trouble and misery for the Wales kids, Harry made that announcement knowing full well cousins are no longer invited to be working Royals.

Can you just imagine it, the parents in the background trying to coerce and bully the Wales into allowing Archie & Lilibeth be working Royals.

Harry is the one who threw that nugget into the public arena for discussion.

Lunde · 29/07/2026 21:38

I think Charles must worry about HAM turning into the new Wallis & Edward

So many parallels

  • made a kneejerk decision to quit without thinking through all the consequences ✅
  • demanded financial help from the RF ✅Although Wallis and Edward got it
  • selling their story for cash ✅(no Oprah but books and articles)
  • bitterness and obsessions ✅(especially money and titles)
  • attempting a rival court ✅
  • dabblingly in politics in conflict with Parliament ✅(Ham - Ukraine/ Israel/ US politics. WAE - supporting Nazi aims/ involvement with Maffia)
  • living in ostentatious luxury that they couldn't afford ✅
  • boredom with their life after "freedom" ✅
  • entitlement because of birth ✅
  • poor social contact with royal family ✅

I think Charles fears history repeating itself and his son and grandchildren living in isolation (TBH I don't think he worries much about Meghan). The other huge problem is the children - in WAE at least there were no children.

Yes!

47 minutes for a chat and cup of tea doesn't really scream "all is forgiven - please return as a working royal" 😂It is a very basic politeness visit - the sort that the vicar or Women's Institute might get to discuss a village event.

AnAutumnCrow · 29/07/2026 21:44

Oh I think H will just start ‘announcing’ that his kids will be turning up to events, and then have private security and a receiving line and cameras all set up, and a handy statement for his WhatsApp media group about royal superstars of the future/birthright/important work/service is universal/Sussex family values.

He’ll pay for it all while he’s funded. That’s the key. Money.

This is exactly what I imagine too. Hence why I think William will have to do whatever he can to keep them in exile, using whatever dark arts he has at his disposal. TBH, I don’t think it would be difficult keeping two American young adults at bay, especially given they’re being raised abroad. They need to have real substance to pull off being roaming do-gooders at times setting foot and sprinkling their stardust in the UK (and who knows where the world, especially america will be by the time they’re in their 20s). No slight to the children themselves who may end up doing wonderful things - but they’ll have work on their hands pulling away from the negativity their parents have already engendered for them.

I think the only way to keep them at bay is money. However, they are so reckless, it's a bottomless pit and if A&L decide to pursue a life of grifting too, that's another problem.

MrsLeonFarrell · 29/07/2026 22:24

It would do the children a massive disservice if Harry pushed them towards being working royals. They have no experience or training and he knows how hard it is being royal in those circumstances.

Mylovelygreendress · 29/07/2026 22:27

The kindest thing would be for the titles to be removed so that A and L can have ( relatively) normal lives.

A cheaper option would be to redefine what royalty is in the modern age. QE2’s version of royalty is over. William’s will be quite different. Quite easy for him to pointedly exclude everyone other than his children, aunts and uncles (not Andrew) from his vision of who can avail of public funds and who can best represent the British people. Huge emphasis on service and duty and humbly reducing the family’s drain on the public purse. Revamp the website, reduce the number of properties used by the family, shrink the roles themselves, keep the pomp and ceremony as that’s what keeps the public tolerating them. Go on and on about serving the people, lifelong dedication to all things British, greatest honour of a person’s life to live in the UK/ hear the commonwealth/ serve the British people.

Yes. I agree but alas HAM won't go quietly

You would think but h was at pains to point out that they might like a royal role. Which is absurd. He should know exactly how it works. It's very clear he has absolutely know knowledge about the working RF at all. Really goes to show how stupid he actually is

Starryfifty · 29/07/2026 22:35

If titles are stripped, which won't be during KC reign unfortunately, I'd say the hamlets will be merched as "Diana's grandchildren" or such nonsense. They will use their Prince and princess titles

The Danish and Swedish Royals did this

Denmark 2022 - just before she abdicated Queen Margrethe stripped all Prince/Princess titles from her second son's 4 children and retitled them as Counts (Earls) and Countess of Monpezat.

Sweden 2019 - King Carl Gustav announced that his grandchildren from his younger children (Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine) were stripped of HRH and would not be working royals.

She said they weren't giving the kids titles because they wanted to give them a more normal life ... until they were interviewed by Oprah
