So why is Harry safe but not Meghan and the kids?

Im just wondering why Harry can do these ‘engagements’ but his wife and kids can’t step in the country.

The press secretaries don’t have the power to manipulate him into wearing a Nazi costume, a naked LA pool game or falling out of nightclubs drunk and stoned!
he did those all on his own!
his only complaints are not that he did it but that he was caught!

George and Charlotte used to go to the Kensington Gardens playground with their nanny.
Some people clocked who they were but carried on playing with their own kids.

Meghan is an utter drama queen who cannot bear the thought that she would likely be ignored if she walked down a west London street.

As happened in the early days when she walked down Kensington High Street, wanting to be papped!

@sunflowersintheday - recollections totally vary. :) The interesting bit for me was how his recollections compared with VLow's whole book about how the RF's secretaries tied themselves in knots trying to make 'their' royal look best even at the expense of the others.

Yet "Spare" is filled with so many half truths, exaggerations and lies. I read an article by the ghostwriter and he had a difficult task, and refused to include stuff which was clearly fantasy. So I don't think it's good evidence for anything apart from Harry's bitterness, misogyny, jealousy, resentment and talent for exaggeration.
Harry never really self managed. There's a bit of negative press? It's got to be the MIGS! It's got to be Camilla! No mate, you were in a bar getting trashed, god knows what you said.

However much he was paid, it wasn't enough.
I think Harry is like many of his fans who regularly excuse him; he's a Royal Prince, so is naturally not to be questioned.

I can't understand why he just didn't ask for another sausage. I find it hard to believe that the RF couldn't budget for it in the breakfast spending. He's making the RF sound like the orphanage in Oliver Twist.

Do we know that anyone did put a stop to it? Because last Friday/Saturday the infamous WhatsApp schedule declared that MM was accompanying PH to his public engagements - IGF, RH Chelsea, IG at NEC, Well Child, Scotties Little Soldiers etc - where ahe would have merched the sick and bereaved children, pensioners, maimed military hero’s, to showcase and flog the clothes on her back. She has done this consistently even at the site of a terrorist atrocity and at the WHO.

I think she didn’t come because she didn’t want to be covered in the ANL shitstorm. She chose to abandon her DH and preserve her solo personal brand. Not because someone said No or put a stop to it.

Just back to Harry and his security. Ken Wharfe, who was PPO to Diana and William/Harry as kids has been on a few royal related podcasts recently. His take on this is that the Met will absolutely be assessing any threats/risk to their security even though they're not providing protection as such. He says nobody wants them harmed on British soil, which seems pretty obvious.

What Harry really wants according to Wharfe is the blue lights, escorts through traffic, the police outriders and so on. In other words, the status he's always had since he was a young boy. Makes sense.

So Megan being here this week and having a visit with Charles and Camilla at Highgrove was leaked by BP, not one single photo of Megan - yet there are thousands of posts on mumsnet on how evil H&M are. Harry hasn't had funding from the British public for years, William on the other hand does very few engagements and makes millions, i honestly don't get the hate for H&M.

Well, he is in the US on a dodgy visa at a time when Catholic nuns in pre- Vatican II habits walking down the street to mass are being arrested by ICE and put in horrible detention centers. Yet he can fly around the world unbothered.

Every time he and his wife come to my city, we give him a police escort to pad out his armed security despite the fact that innocent NYC residents, without paid security, are being shot and attacked in the streets. He really needs a police escort to go to a tatoo parlor? Give me a break.
