So why is Harry safe but not Meghan and the kids?

Im just wondering why Harry can do these ‘engagements’ but his wife and kids can’t step in the country.

It's nothing to do with Meghan and security. She fears being in public in the uk and someone giving her a dollop of hometruth.

Misoginy and racism surely. With a bit of jealousy because she seems to have it all.

Harry is actually way more problematic than Meghan.

I agree. I think that MM is doing a ‘return to sender’ - ensconcing PH carefully back into his family, friends and culture before she skips off into the sunset. Not sure he has realised this yet - but their announcement that MM will be spending her time at their international residences to lead her businesses says it all - but the pennies haven’t dropped for delusional fool yet.

Time will tell. But it is possible this is the start of a split.

He hasn't appeared to be happy in the US for a while. Being back with family probably brought back what he is missing out on.

I can't see her settling in England, the RF life just isn't what she thought it was going to be.

Has that been announced? That she will spend time at their international residences? I haven't seen that.

The international bases is an interesting comment, do we think she'll end up in Portugal with him and kids in the UK.

So its only a short flight away for her.

If they are going to split it certainly makes more sense for them to be within the same continent rather than a 10 or 12 hour flight away.

If Meghan, Archie and Lilibet are targets of the Taliban they only have Harry to blame for boasting about how many Taliban he had killed on TV. He very stupidly put a huge target on their backs especially his wife's because her face is well known. If he has to pay for security it's his own fault.

I think she is terrified of being booed when she is in public, especially if her DC are with her.

Why Portugal?

Because Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank,is involved with a resort development there. My guess is they get to holiday there in return for promoting the resort. I don't think they actually own a property there. I can't see Meghan living there on a long term basis however.

There was definitely talk of them buying somewhere in Portugal at one time.

There's talk of them doing all sorts of things, but personally I don't believe they actually bought a place in Portugal. It would be a very odd choice for someone living in California and I don't think they can afford it either. Seems much more likely to me to be some sort of promotional deal with Brooksbank.

Nate Berkus and his partner Jeremiah Brent also have a place in Portugal but quite rural

Inheritance tax very low in Portugal I believe.

Now that might make some logic to the whole thing.

Friends of mine looked into this as it does benefit wealthy people.
