Why is Prince George not going to secondary school until after he turns 13?

Prince William reveals Prince George, 12, is already boarding at £10,669-a-term Lambrook School mol.im/a/15846933 via https://dailym.ai/android

I saw this article in the DM saying Prince George is currently boarding at Lambrook "ahead of moving to his secondary school in September". He turns 13 in July so the thought occurred to me - why is he still in primary school? Should he not have started secondary in 2024 when he was 11?

It was in relation to the Disney picture.

The Disney picture isn’t on the thread that’s running so which number thread is it please? I want to see how these many comments compare to the awful one that @SpaEnjoyer posted on this very thread about Louis, which you are still choosing not to reprimand, funny that.

It was in relation to the Disney picture.

Seeing as you haven’t come back with the answer to my question I have looked myself and it is Thread 11 page 32 when the Disney picture was posted, having read all the comments about that picture from then on, there is not one comment that backs up your claim of:-

”a number of comments speculating Archie is Neurodiverse”

The posts are all very supportive of Archie and sympathetic to his plight of his mother posting such an awful picture of him for the world to judge.

NotTalkinBoutTheLinen · 22/06/2026 18:50

@BigWillyLittleTodger I am really glad to read that. That photo was disturbing. He seems upset and his mother is laughing and sharing it with strangers.

I know,😢poor little lad. That image will always be out there. Such insensitive parents.

Re H&M sharing photographs of their children so widely - here's what I think.

I don't give a rat's arse about whether the photos are photoshopped. I'm sure many do it. I also could not understand the kerfuffle about C having photoshopped a privately taken photo , by which I mean the MD photo - she photoshopped it - I don't mean it wasn't for public consumption. .

I don't think H's children can be compared to W & C's because H's children are constitutionally unimportant. So , where W&C , who know their children will be photographed at Royal events have a certain deal with the press that they will release a birthday photo , a mother's and Father's Day photo , first day at school photo , etc it's sort of on the understanding that they will be left alone in private situations , school , university , if they choose to go , and private holidays. There is no reason for H&M to release photos - even with the emoji faces or backs to the camera- whatsoever. That is their choice to do so.

When DS and his friends were applying for "proper jobs" from university , they deleted anything which they wouldn't want in the public domain from their Facebook ( and yes it was that long ago - how old does that make me 😂) So those photos aren't there - and they were btw pretty mild.

A&L have no agency at the moment and they seem to have photos dispersed widely which will not be able to be deleted. Photographs which often seem to be propping up M's family oriented influencer brand .

It is those photographs , which A&L have no influence over which makes me call hypocrite when they talk about children's safety online. It isn't just about what children can access in my view , it's about what goes out on to the internet over which they have no control. And also , although I know I'm out of date here , the normalising of having to put so many photos out onto SM . Those two children must be used to their parents saying , come on we need a photo of you. And not just to print off and send to Grandpa or Granny privately , they will as they get older know these were done for other than private family reasons.

My two pennyworth . I am sure others will disagree.

But what would be the point of all the independence of senior day school if you were denied the freedom to travel on public transport there and back, @Floppyearedlab?

Edited

But tons of kids don't. Not just boarding kids but ordinary kids in ordinary secondary schools, plenty never catch public transport.

You’ve summed this up so well. It’s like lecturing others about littering while driving down the road with rubbish flying out of their own windows.

& yet they , and to be fair others , see nothing wrong in these posts if they are backs of heads or emojis over faces, @NotTalkinBoutTheLinen & that is a different point of view to mine. But I do think if you are flying across continents to talk about children's online safety , and , inter alia , the dangers of AI manipulation of children's images , why put out any photographs of your children when you know they will be disseminated widely if you don't have to. And to be truthful , H&M don't have to. They choose to.

For the avoidance of doubt , I'm agreeing with you 😊

Also - the defence of not showing the children’s faces falls down somewhat when they post photos of other people’s children, faces and all.

Yes they do. For example, those photos with children in hospital, seriously ill, half dressed, all their faces on show, then posted with links where fans could buy the clothes that Meghan was wearing 😵‍💫

Then the justification their spokesperson has put out for using children to promote themselves is a total lie. These other children are not old enough to consent, or understand the implications.

My younger brother got the smaller bedroom, he also got 1 less sausage at times when very young - because he was younger and smaller.

The only person who's claimed he was treated differently because of birth order is Harry. And he thinks bins talk to him. It was just yet another case of him imagining petty grievances, apparently throughout his entire life. And now he's continuing the cycle with his own children. Sad really. He needs to get a decent therapist who will actually help him, not enable him.

I'm feel sorry that you can't understand family dynamics beyond your own reality, that shouldn't be hard but I suppose some people are incapable of thinking properly or having empathy. It's not about getting a smaller bedroom or one less sausage like your family. But good that your family was functional, many families aren't.

It was particularly awful that she merched the clothes she posed in with those girls at the eating disorder clinic in Australia
