Why is Prince George not going to secondary school until after he turns 13?

Prince William reveals Prince George, 12, is already boarding at £10,669-a-term Lambrook School mol.im/a/15846933 via https://dailym.ai/android

I saw this article in the DM saying Prince George is currently boarding at Lambrook "ahead of moving to his secondary school in September". He turns 13 in July so the thought occurred to me - why is he still in primary school? Should he not have started secondary in 2024 when he was 11?

Yes, I remember it all too well! To this day, it has never been explained what was so egregious about the photo that it warranted such attention.

Poor Kate had to make a grovelling apology, as if she'd completely misrepresented her family instead of just tweaking the details.
She was ripped apart.

@myrtleWilson I think @CurlewKate 's post was - copied and pasted - "Well, the rumours must have been either in the press or on here or I wouldn’t have seen them." so or not and.

Anyway I'm not an apologist for Curlew she can speak for herself - just saying how I read things, & read them differently. I may be wrong - happened before. & That Jeremy is my final answer.

Anyway - There my interest in Louis' behaviour and George's school ends 😂

Why sully yourself defending someone who finds another woman’s cancer ….” A complicated narrative!” And then needs to make a thread forgiving herself! , some things are not forgotten or forgiven.

The Platinum Jubilee was an expensive and tedious affair. It was clear the Queen was unwell. I seem to recall ageing rock stars featured heavily. That little boy was bored out of his head.

I have read some pretty awful stuff on here but the “ complicated narrative” was something else.

No he wasn't. He and the other children were having a great time. When Paddington appeared, they all cheered! A 70 year anniversary for a Head of State is unique. It was a celebration and people had a lot of fun.

EvelynBeatrice · 22/06/2026 08:37

To me the fuss about the photo was incomprehensible. Who cares? I could only assume that some elements were looking for offence anywhere they could possibly find it.

Justdancevance · 22/06/2026 08:41

Omid Scobie was the one posting about Prince Louis and the Celebitchy site gave talking points which were pushed on here as ever.

Omid had to delete his post about Louis after several push back with his usual ‘I didn’t mean anything by it’ and the posters and that site is awful

Was he having a great time dressed in a suit watching soldiers on parade for hours?
I feel sorry for those kids. But not as sorry as I do for many others.

No. He wasn't "in a suit for hours".
You seem very confused. Are you thinking of Trooping the Colour?
He was only 4, he didn't wear a suit back then.
So it sounds very much as if you have the events, the length of the events and the child's outfit completely wrong.
The Jubilee party was not a "military parade" .

Serenster · 22/06/2026 09:51

Also the children don’t have to watch the Trooping the Colour parades. They travel to Horseguards in a carriage with their mother, go up to a room overlooking the parade ground (where they can watch or not, as they choose, or amuse themselves) and then they join their mother for the ride back to Buckingham Palace then stand on the balcony for the fly past. The adult stuff is done by the adults.

That was indeed a dark period on here. They were loving it - the discussions around what " may" have happened. It went on for months. Some people have short memories on here.

Yes. I think some people really don't understand what actually happens, or make an incorrect judgement based on a photo.

That was just awful. I could not believe some of the threads on here.

MNHQ contributed to the awfulness, letting all those threads run.

I am confused because I don't care. I thought the Platinum Jubilee was totally cringey.
Trooping of the Colour, very boring.
I don't think he has additional needs, he was a bored little kid.

Fine if you don't care. Who cares if you don't care?
Don't post things that are completely untrue though.

For someone who doesn’t care, you’re very invested in these threads. You’ve posted hundreds of comments.

I agree, the gloating and spitefulness of some of the comments was astonishing.
Also, what does ‘complicated narrative’ actually mean?

It’s a polite way of saying it wasn’t true, without actually saying it and getting lambasted!
