Why is Prince George not going to secondary school until after he turns 13?

Prince William reveals Prince George, 12, is already boarding at £10,669-a-term Lambrook School mol.im/a/15846933 via https://dailym.ai/android

I saw this article in the DM saying Prince George is currently boarding at Lambrook "ahead of moving to his secondary school in September". He turns 13 in July so the thought occurred to me - why is he still in primary school? Should he not have started secondary in 2024 when he was 11?

I see the #bekind super fans displaying their complicated understanding of normal elementary school behaviour and are targeting a child on a parenting forum.

Apparently having one child behave differently from another is surprising for some super fans...unlike normal parents who are around some more rambunctious kids and some quieter kids at every school and in every home with more than one child.

Yes. Bashing Louis is just another way to bash W&K.
All a bit pathetic, targeting a child, really.

Tellingly, Louis was also left at home with his nannies during the Wimbledon Men's Final in 2025, which George and Charlotte both attended.

“Tellingly” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence given:

  • The final was a best of 5 sets match, and it could take several hours to complete (in the event, it took four sets)
  • It was a hot day - 30 degrees
  • The game began later than normal - 4pm rather than the normal 2pm and so could have continued potentially until 8pm or so at night - and then go on later with the presentations afterwards
  • Louis was just over seven and a few weeks old in July 2025. George didn’t attend a game at Wimbledon until he was eight - and he was just a week away from turning nine at the time.
  • No-one even knows if Louis likes tennis….

So trying to suggest there is some kind of reason why Louis didn’t go last year other than his parents decided it was not an appropriate event for their seven year old, for whatever reasons, is a stretch.

HelenaWilson · 21/06/2026 18:11

I do however have some sympathy for Prince Louis. He appears destined to be the next Spare, without an obvious role

He is eight. How can anyone predict his destiny at that age?

As he grows up he will presumably do what everyone else does and find a role that is suited to his interests, aptitudes and abilities.

Which might be as a working royal or maybe in the Services or in some profession, as Richard of Gloucester or David Linley did. He can have whatever life he wants,, as Harry could have done, if he wasn't obsessed with being the Spare.

I love the conflating of ‘naughty’ with neurodivergence, well done for admitting that’s what you think, bravo.

For the third time, can someone post a link to these newspaper reports the Louis is rumoured to be ND? One’ll do.

I’ll be very surprised if they can. The idea that a British newspaper’s legal team would think it appropriate to publish uninformed speculation about a medical diagnosis of a child in the public eye is … bold!

I think it was @CurlewKate who claims it was in the mainstream media that Louis is ND, maybe she can link said article.

It’s bogus ! But obviously nobody wants to admit that they either made up this rumour to attack a small boy or that they got it directly from a ss sm post!

Some people on here need to take a really hard look at themselves and who they support.

There have been various examples of Louis exhibiting poor behaviour in public. These include the Queen's Jubilee Pageant in 2022, the King's Coronation in 2023 and Trooping the Colour in 2024. He was cupping his ears, yawning and gesticulating during these events. He was at it again at the most recent Trooping the Colour. George and Charlotte were impeccably behaved when they were Louis' age.

Tellingly, Louis was also left at home with his nannies during the Wimbledon Men's Final in 2025, which George and Charlotte both attended. I commend @CurlewKate for standing firm in the face of hostility from other MNers regarding this matter.

What poor behaviour did he display at this year’s Trooping?

Absolutely this!

It really grinds the gears of the fans that the Wales children have 2 devoted parents, 2 sets of equally devoted grandparents, close aunts, uncles and cousins who are active parts of their lives, plus George will be King, Charlotte most likely the Princess Royal and Louis I suspect will be the Duke of Edinburgh at some point or follow a path of his choosing, no doubt supported by his parents, all of this is unbearable to the fans as the Sussex children will never have this, and what makes it even worse is they could have had similar lives, but their vindictive, spiteful parents couldn’t bear playing second fiddle to William and Catherine, oh to be a fly on the wall when the children start asking questions.

Ahhh so you’re getting back on their behalf, got it.

Harry and Megan fans really are deranged.

I haven't said anything about Geoege so what am I getting back at? I rarely comment about the children and certainly never speculate about their looks or any conditions.

I think its perfectly okay to point out that posters rushing here and being outraged someone else has speculating about Geroge being ND are rhe ones tou stay silent or they themselves comment about Archie being ND.

At least be consistent otherwise it shows a bias.

Some people on here need to take a really hard look at themselves and who they support.

Some people need to have a very hadd look at themselves and commenting about children and ND, looks, hair, behaviour etc they conclude from a photograph or video which is only ever a snapshot of a fraction of their day.

It shouldn't even be about who you support. Thats just reducing it down to childish team x or y. What has Archie, Lilly or any of the Wales children done to anyone.

Who on this thread has criticised the Sussex’s children? , please do give us the proof! ( I already know it’s not me ! )

Why are you are quoting @Recklessismymiddlename who hasn’t made any criticism of the children, surely you have made an error and you should have quoted @SpaEnjoyer who wrote a long post directly criticising a 4 year old child?

No-one has been critical of Archie or Lilibet on here.
Louis, however, has come in for some very nasty criticism.
Criticism of his behaviour when he was 4 years old

Recklessismymiddlename · 21/06/2026 19:09

I have not criticised the children. Any of them. DARVO tactics I see going on here.

I would also like to point out that you , yourself have not challenged the comments about the Wales’s children on this thread or any of the others!! , so how are you in any position to accuse others of staying silent?
if anything you are encouraging it because “ it happens to the Sussex’s “ 🙄

I did comment, above, I said noone should be talking about the children on both sides.

BasiliskStare · 21/06/2026 19:56

I can't speak for @CurlewKate but I read her posts as she was saying Louis' behaviour looked like a normal young boy of his age.

A separate comment was she has read rumours of ND - not that she was saying he was. So I am not sure she is upholding @SpaEnjoyer 's point. Anyway Curlew is perfectly able to speak for her self

Anyway - I am with @bluegreygreen in my discomfort at armchair diagnoses.

There were loads of rumours in the British press and on here about Louis-there seems to be some selective memory happening here. I think they started when the poor kid couldn’t keep still through a 27 hour parade of identical horses or something when he was 3 or 4.

@CurlewKate claimed “there were lots of rumours in the British Press” posters have asked her to back this up which is a perfectly reasonable request, clearly she can’t.

noonames · 21/06/2026 20:11

Not even one measley example from all these loads of rumours. Tut.

I've tried Google searching this and come up with nothing.

In response to the question, "Which press publications have reported that Prince Louie is neuro diverse?" the AI overview response is:

No reputable press publications have reported that Prince Louis is neurodiverse. The only claims of this nature originated from fabricated content and unverified clickbait videos on social media platforms like Facebook and Youtube.

Perhaps @CurlewKate can tell us if Google AI is wrong.
