Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

They got here this morning there at the children's Hospital now

Meghan looks lovely, finally dressed appropriately, in a coat dress style (She is so transparent 🥳).

The optics are awful though,

cantgardenintherain · 14/04/2026 06:48

I don’t really understand why they are visiting hospitals and meeting doctors and patients if they’re on a so called private holiday. They have no reason to, as they’re representing nobody in that situation. They no more ought to be doing it than any of us.

ThePoshUns · 14/04/2026 07:11

Yes maybe next time I go to the Canary Islands I’ll pop into the local hospital
to Say hello.

ThePoshUns · 14/04/2026 07:29

Why is she grabbing this little girl who clearly doesn’t want to engage with her? A complete stranger.

More lies being exposed, they really make every effort, including lying, to try to make themselves look more important

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's publicist misled journalists by alleging a key embargo had been breached, compromising the security and privacy of Harry and Meghan, before eventually backtracking on the claims.

Shortly before their arrival, their publicist Liam Maguire issued a statement declaring that no further details of the Sussexes' itinerary would be shared with the media after an alleged information leak "complicated and compromised security arrangements".

In documents seen by SkyNews.com.au, Mr Maguire personally emailed newsrooms falsely alleging an embargo agreement had been breached by this newsroom.

"When should we expect to receive more specific timing (rather than “Lunchtime” and “PM”) for the Melbourne engagements of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex," one reporter asked Mr Maguire.

Mr Maguire declined the request to share more information about the heavily commercialised tour.

"Unfortunately, I can’t now give more exact timings as the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror and Sky News Australia chose to break the embargo and have thus complicated and compromised security arrangements," he wrote.
"You can blame them."

Sky News Australia had not received any information under embargo, meaning no agreement could have been broken. The information was in the public domain after being published by British media.

When asked to explain why he was misleading Australian newsrooms about a broken embargo, that did not exist, Mr Maguire backtracked, saying "we acknowledge that neither outlet was formally bound by the embargo".

I think you should send the details of your planned activities to the media as well... but only the official activities, not any private ones....

😂

Because Catherine has lots of photos of her visiting and meeting children (& the children respond to her - remember the video of the wee girl shouting "hi Princess", and Catherine stopping the car?)

Also Princess Diana. As Harry says - Meghan is just like his Mum.

I actually think fair play to Meghan to keep trying these enterprises. Ok she hasn’t been successful (probably because she expects success to come too quickly) but good on her for trying to sell jam, podcasts, programmes, celebrity appearances etc. Maybe she will eventually hit the magic formula. Her husband on the other hand….

I don’t think the pair of them will have any major business successes as they don’t have the liveability factor.l or the fab base. Yes they have a number of people who like them but there aren’t enough of them by far to make any business truly successful.

Excellent idea ! I will do the same in Milan next week . I am sure they will be delighted to meet an old Scottish woman who speaks about 4 words in Italian .

I see she got the monochrome dress code for hospital visit 😂😂
I will also announce my visit tomorrow to the childrens ward in laval, France.

MrsLeonFarrell · 14/04/2026 08:47

At this point their visits need to tie in with charities they support, otherwise it just looks a bit strange. They aren't actors in popular franchises visiting in costume, they aren't royalty, they aren't hospital patrons, they just come across as desperate to be seen being welcomed and loved. It's rather sad.

Irememberwhenitwasallfieldsroundhere · 14/04/2026 09:02

Whilst I think the BRF has been absolutely right to stay silent generally on H&M I do think that once they start visiting hospitals and acting like royals on supposedly private trips that they ought to be told to stop. Because it looks like they're getting Half In Half Out which was explicitly denied.

They are fucking grifters for sure. I'd be pissed off as an Aussie taxpayer.

Chainlinkferry · 14/04/2026 09:03

I agree they are unlikely to be successful. But a successful business needs to offer a worthwhile product in itself - not simply rely on a fan base. That is what I mean by expecting success too quickly - they think there is a large customer base who will immediately buy their product at scale. In reality their fan base and publicity may get things rolling but to be successful it will have to appeal on its own merits.

Irememberwhenitwasallfieldsroundhere · 14/04/2026 09:06

Also, if my child was a cancer patient I'd really resent him or her being used as self promotion by the Sussexes, it's all really distasteful, bald kids giving Meghan flowers, for what?

I agree, it’s sickening and completely self serving.

corblimeyguvnr · 14/04/2026 09:14

I was watching a Netflix documentary last night about Jodi Hildebrandt influencer/ mentor/ child abuser/ prisoner and it kept ringing bells to me with her " you are not not enough" and Meghan's " you are enough" . 😬 same preaching , same use of word salad..

I'm trying to remember if hospitals bring patients down into the lobby to meet royal visitors. I remember meetings on wards with patients and in the lobby with staff but I can't remember patients being wheeled into a public space just to shake hands. I could be completely wrong though.

I don't think this makes them look royal and the RF would just be giving them ammunition if they say anything. It's just sad and a reminder of what they walked away from claiming to find it traumatising. It chips away at what little credibility they had left without anyone in authority saying anything.

You are right. This photo makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I'm not going to repost because I think they should be taken down.

Some of those photos in the Daily Mail show some very uncomfortable looking teens. Their faces, illness, feeding tubes are now media fodder.

What about their privacy, did they really understand what they were agreeing to?

They probably had no idea who they were and certainly didn't think that by having some adults attend a therapy session their photos would be broadcast worldwide.

Why do these children's privacy, in a country which has banned social media for U16, not matter.
Why should their illness be monitised?

CanISeeYourLicence · 14/04/2026 09:27

Meghan is a grabber though. There is a p;ic (which I'll find in a mo) where she is grabbing achild so hard her arm tendons are straining.

CanISeeYourLicence · 14/04/2026 09:30

It's in this link.

The picture always made me shudder. I have a 'friend' who loves to grab people and she digs her fingers in with apparent delight to be touching you. It apparently shows emotion and sincerity but she physically hurts me as i have a connective tissue disorder and I have had bruises left behind. The Meghan grabbing gives me the same vibe.

Sorry but….. disgusting, cosplaying faux royal ghouls, using children with cancer for pr! , the doctors who allowed unmasked people straight from a transatlantic flight to breathe all over and grab at immune compromised children should be struck off!

Hard agree
