Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Interestingly one of the women Jackie Henderson she will meet with on the podcast has just split from her radio partner of many years. She is described as enabling the misogyny and over the top sexual content of her radio partner Kyle Sandilands.

Yes ! Thanks @corblimeyguvnr, that was mentioned in the information I read earlier! , must admit my mind is elsewhere lately! 😳

myrtleWilson · 08/03/2026 16:07

@corblimeyguvnr I think the world, in the horrifically fractured state it is in, can probably unite in saying we don't need to hear anything else about Harry's penis so please Meghan, think of the world.

I believe I read somewhere that Meghan was invited onto a podcast by the lady running it, I’ve forgotten the details now and Harry is there for something military ( non official) .

It’s a long flight to Australia to appear on a podcast!

Mylovelygreendress · 08/03/2026 16:19

At least they won’t be staying in Government House so the teacups will be safe….

The podcast seems to follow similar trends - oral sex, are you bored with your partner, resentment kills love, let's talk about dick pics etc. Interesting choice for Meghan.

I wonder what she’ll be talking about 🛥️

Extremely long and not very environmentally friendly either!

@DaphneduM

Harry currently has a bespoke security arrangement, assessed on a case-by-case basis, as long as he gives 28 days' notice (allows both for proper planning and the required notice for cancelling leave in employment law).
It also has some flexibility, as was seen when he flew over urgently to visit his father when Charles was diagnosed with cancer.
This security is paid for by taxpayers.
There is currently a RAVEC review ongoing (as I understand it, most arrangements are reviewed every 5 years).

Harry lost the case against the Home Office, and the HO was awarded costs. We do not know if those costs have been paid.

They spend a great deal of time away from their kids don't they?

I agree they do.

Formerly Australian Queen Mary of Denmark is coming to Australia next week on a proper royal tour bringing a delegation of 50+ Danish business people and attending a State dinner. Going to be an interesting contrast.

Not very on brand for Meghan is it. Is Jackie really going to let her get away with inane wittering about joy and jam? Surely she’s going to want something juicier than that.

Remembering the delivery room video she may well get "something juicier", @elessar Hmm

After all there doesn't seem much else to lose reputation-wise, and scrabbling round for attention - any attention - can lead to some strange choices

Dunglowing · 08/03/2026 21:13

I have no doubt MM will go there - ‘sex sells’ - she’s so desperate to draw attention to her UPF’s and tat online business and she has done in before in her early ‘acting’ career.

MrsFinkelstein · 08/03/2026 23:22

DaphneduM · 08/03/2026 15:09

It sounds like an interesting trip for them. I don't get the vitriol and hate that they attract from some people - personally I prefer them to our present 'working' Royals. And it's not my taxes funding them either. Maybe William and Kate should get off their backsides and start doing some meaningful work instead of leaving it all to King Charles and Camilla.

Your taxes are funding their security every time they come to the UK.

Your taxes are also funding Harry's court cases. Has he paid back court costs after he lost his Judicial Review? It cost the Home Office 500k

Oh please 🙏, I’m hoping with all my soul that Meghan keeps her propriety and dignity and doesn’t go down that path ! , I’ve only just managed to get Harry , Diana’s cream and the twerking video out of my brain!!
i sincerely wish not to have any more visual representation of that sort featuring Harry!

You say They even reportedly have a WhatsApp group with their favored journalists ...reportedly? As in you know this for a fact otherwise if its jidt conjecture, speculation rumour then you cant call them hypocrites until you know it for a fact.

It came from an article published in The Times after their Head of PR, Ashley Hansen, left Archewell.

People were surprised at the article at the time, because it was pretty frank -
it gave the clear impression that Ashley Hansen had resigned without a job to go to, because she was looking for freelance work after her stint at Archewell hadn’t worked out. The sources said that the clients didn’t always listen to her advice. It also said that she’d worked on rebuilding the Sussexes’ relationship with UK tabloids following Meghan and Harry’s announcement that they would never work with them, and mentioned she had WhatsApp groups including tabloid jounalists to brief them behind the scenes about the German Invictus appearances.

The article was taken down shortly after it was published, most likely an after contact from Archewell/the Sussexes’ lawyers, as it arguably contained confidential information in breach of Hansen’s NDA agreements with Archewell.

So when OP said they as in H&M have a WhatsApp group with jour lists its actually wrong. Their ex Head of PR did.

Since you seem to a stickler for facts im sure you agree OP is wrong to state H&M themselves had the WhatsApp group. At the very least criticism should be based on facts.

How much time? Have you counted it up? Do feel free to share the data so we can judge if its too much.

They don't have a typical 9-5 job like most parents do so I would say its very hard to say if they do spend too much time away.

It could be if you took their trips and averaged that out into a 9-5 job that they are spending no more time away than the typical parent does could even show they actually spend more time with their children...I meant that would obviously not be what you want to hear

Facts like employers being responsible for what their immediate employees do, you mean? Meghan and Harry are deemed to have authorised the acts of someone acting on their behalf, particularly a senior employee such as Ashley Hansen in such a small organisation.

Or are you suggesting that Meghan and Harry had no idea this was happening? What’s your evidence for that, then? Just to remind you, we know Harry has emailed People magazine directly himself in the past.

You fund their security when they are in the U.K. . And what about H’s endless court cases ?

Which court case do we fund? Be specific.

She could have done it the way she did her podcasts - at a distance, not face to face, dubbed in.

I assume here the Ravec ones. ANL i assume Harry’s own funds.
