Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

The King can invite whoever he likes into the Royal Box at Ascot. B&E could serine by car and depart via car. They might not get an invite into the carriages on any day, but we shall see. They were young when their parents were involved with Epstein and were obviously not involved. At this rate we would lock up all the dc of people in prison for embezzlement and theft. We don’t.

No they where in their 20s as well as when they where young. They went to see Epstein with their mum early 20s.

Every single one of them knew he was lying - from the civil servants, to security, the police, the government, this mother, his siblings - because his every movement since birth has been meticulously observed, signed off and documented 24/7.

They all hoped he could bluster and lie his way through it all once Virginia brought it into the public domain - in order to save the gravy train that they are all on.

It was actually a compounding grotesque example of a grandiose, delusional, arrogant and entitled approach to silence and degrade the testimony of the teenager repeatedly raped by AMW in order to manipulate public opinion - and it wasnt just AMW and his 90+ year old mother colluding in this calculated endeavour.

@Laserwho So what though? That does not mean anything does it? Were they fully knowledgeable about what was going on? How could they know their parents’ secrets? Does everyone know everything their parents do? Of course not. They can be given duff info and how much they were in charge of where they went is debatable.

I don’t like tarring everyone with the same brush. They have not done anything wrong. The bbc says they were 19 and 21. Nothing like a good witch hunt in the media.

They haven't always remained 19 and 21, like time stood still for them!
Forgetting the visit to Epstein, it's since then I am more concerned about

They asked Epstein to pay for their flights to New York with Fergie to visit him. Then the girls wanted to be bumped up to business class from premium economy, (Fergie was in business, she asked to be bumped up to first class on the way home). Fergie then emailed Jeffrey’s PA to make this happen, saying he had said it was ok for her and the girls to be upgraded again on his dime.
This all in the emails, Epstein told his PA to ignore their requests, - even he was sick of their freeloading. The flights for the 3 of them to New York and back already cost 30k.

Agree - they are both now late thirties and the whole Epstein and AMW has been in the public domain for at least the last 15 years of their adult lives.

They have both (along with the rest of the BRF) been overtly and covertly facilitating AMW rehabilitation, his denials and the silencing of victims.

@NeelyOHara I think, for them, it’s a storm in a tea cup brought about by their parents. How are transatlantic flights £30,000 for 3 people? Unless it’s a private flight. If they are not being invited to Ascot, so be it. They do like going it appears but it’s a private invite and, as Kate only goes once, there’s only Zara left who is younger.

Sam McAlister was a celebrity booker for Newsnight. Laura Burns was a producer on Panorama who, with her team, had done months of leg work in the US and UK digging into Epstein and AMW’s connections. She was working on an investigative programme on AMW, who would have been given the opportunity to reply to their allegations on the record. But then came along Sam, who’d buttered up AMW’s aides with talk of an softish interview on his home turf highlighting his Pitch at the Palace work. The Panorama team was then forced to hand over all their work to help Newsnight prepare for the interview and never got credited.

We will never know exactly how AMW would have used his right of reply if Panorama had gone ahead. Almost certainly we wouldn’t have all the colour about Pizza Express and sweating. But probably the end result would have been the same - he would have denied allegations and said he’d cut off contact, and that would have later been found to be a lie.

A storm in a teacup? Blagging flights off a convicted sex offender, meeting him for lunch? And £10,000 per person return flights business class could easily cost that. Would’ve cost more if Epstein hadn’t told them to go fuck themselves.
You can’t hire a transatlantic jet for £30,000. That would barely get you somewhere in Europe.

@NeelyOHara No. They don’t cost that to NY. However these young women, at the time, were bright up to think this was normal. They did not have total control of their lives. Did they blag much at all - or was it Fergie? I don’t care about them very much but they were influenced by their parents who are a disgrace.

Now they are in their mid to late 30s . What's their excuse now? It's as bad as calling Harry Diana's boy. By this age they should be accountable for their own actions.

They talk about being banned but I assume they could pay to go and be ordinary spectators?

Honestly, if all they've got to worry about is not sitting in a carriage or being in the royal box, they need a reality check

Give it up you two, go and live your lives and accept you are tainted by your parents actions, whether that is fair or not is another matter

For those who are saying that Ascot is just a fun outing, it's worth considering how much money is tied up with horse-racing and the extent to which the Royal Family are or have been implicated in the business side.

The Queen had close relationships with several repressive regimes in the Gulf via their shared interest in race horses, notoriously with Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She presented him with a Gold Cup at Ascot the year after he allegedly kidnapped one of his daughters (having been accused of kidnapping another in 2001). Dubai is notorious for abuse of human rights. The Queen also traveled to a Gulf country for a horse show at the cost of UK taxpayers.

It's interesting that Beatrice and Eugenie's financial affairs are being investigated and that there are allegedly connections to the Middle East. Likely much more to come in the Epstein files.

This theory is wild. The girls recruiting other much younger girls were older than Beatrice and eugenie. But they are treated as victims when obviously they were old enough to know better?
