The statement ‘he maintains he’s innocent’ is not a ringing endorsement for Andrew.

A far cry from the words ‘categorically deny’ (or it was something similar) the palace responded with when Virginia first made her allegations.

It's kind of them saying "We will agree to disagree with him".

^^

To be honest I wouldn’t read that much into this being an implication of guilt (as per the X comment)

I reckon in the royal family it’s very dog eat dog, and there’s probably an element of competition where it’s satisfying to be able to publicly humiliate a rival sibling and strip away their assets. Ultimate power move.

2021x · 31/10/2025 02:55

I don't support the royal family at all.

You can't walk back the lying at the very least. I strongly suspect he went against the advice of the professionals in the Emily Maitlss interview, and the Queen was alive at that point.

KC has to show he can keep everyone in line, and this sends a big message and he seems to be showing leadership building bridges with other pacifist leaders, and this seems like he is trying to build bridges with us "common folk" too.

I take it...that as he no longer is a Prince...he will have no servants and people will no longer bow and curtsey to him .
Well done King Charles

You don't have to be a Prince to have servants! You just have to be able to pay them.

It's certainly unusual.

Unusual? Really? And here was I thinking that men having sex with trafficked women was depressingly common, to the extent that most civilised countries have enacted complex legislation to try to put a stop to it.

Let’s hope Harry is next

Oh and what did Harry do to young girls?
Imagine putting that dirty criminal in the same league as Harry 🙄

He should be known as The Andrew Formally Known As Prince

👏👏👏 😂

Yes. Shame TLQ wasnt more upset about her son using women for sex, borrowing money from sex offenders and spies and using Trade envoy and Royal visits to enrich himself at the taxpayers expense as she allegedly was about her grandson using her nickname as a name for his daughter.

Oneborneveryminute25 · 31/10/2025 04:48

Whilst I agree with KC's actions regarding Andrew, I find it hypocritical as only a month or so ago the Royal family and our government wined and dined Trump, holding a state banquet in his honour with all the pomp and ceremony when all evidence points to Trump's previous pedophilia throughout his life, never mind being a sexual abuser, rapist and 35 times convicted felon. A man who openly admitted to finding his daughter attractive and would like to screw her. Just yuckety yuck!

Being anyone other than president of US, he would never have got clearance to enter UK.

It's kind of them saying "We will agree to disagree with him".

You’re jumping to conclusions. As far as I’m aware, there’s no direct evidence to say for sure what his level of involvement is, it’s mainly circumstantial given the passage of time involved. Therefore, they don’t know enough to “agree to disagree” with his version of events - it’s a generic statement carefully written by legal teams and publicists to cover all bases. You’ll notice, that the statement can pivot to innocence or guilt.

CathyorClaire · 31/10/2025 06:07

Haven't RTFT so probably repeating points but...I think there's
more to come out and this is an attempt to get ahead of it.

I also think we'll be funding Mr MB's security under the radar given all royal properties are heavily secured all the time occupied or not.

And finally I'd imagine H must at the very least have been given pause for thought now the previously toothless tiger has finally roared.

Zippedydodah · 31/10/2025 06:08

About damn time too, I bet Ferguson is furious that she doesn’t get Adelaide Cottage.
At least he’ll be far from the public eye, no more photos of the smirking pervert riding in Windsor Great Park or his car.
I imagine that few of his previous associates and founders will be keeping in touch so it’ll be interesting to see how he manages without.
Seeing as Beatrice and Eugenie have had some dubious gifts from unsavoury characters in the Middle East perhaps this is also reminding them to watch their behaviour.

Virginia Guiffre's mental health suffered because of Andrew and his friends. I'll save my sympathy for her and her family.

Oh absolutely, I definitely don't feel sorry for him. I just thought it was a bit odd that the palace has publicly stripped him of his titles due to his dreadful behaviour but are then asking the press to go easy on him.

I don’t think they are asking the press to go easy on him. They are, rightfully, pointing out that there is a duty of care. We all remember Caroline Flack. The man is utterly reprehensible and revolting, but hounding someone to their death is pretty poor form.

Zippedydodah · 31/10/2025 06:31

‘…asking the press to go easy on him’?
While I definitely don’t agree with anyone being hounded it’s the press that has brought his appalling behaviour to the attention of the British public. He had zero thought for what he was subjecting those poor girls to and he doesn’t even have the guts to admit to what he’s done ffs.
He’s a bloody coward as well as a rapist (trafficked victims cannot consent) and quite honestly he deserves everything that comes.
At least he’ll be invisible to the public eye at Sandringham.
I honestly don’t understand why his daughters haven’t disowned him.

RhododendronFlowers · 31/10/2025 06:32

"I honestly don't understand why his daughters haven't disowned him".
That is a very good point.

Itwasallyellow2 · 31/10/2025 06:34

The best thing the press can do to Andrew is ignore him. He’s used to people falling over themselves and bowing to him. That needs to change now. I do hope he moves abroad though eventually…I’m pretty sure that being a non-entity in the UK will be painful for him so finding somewhere else to go (far away) feels like a good solution…if they will have him.

I know someone who will love to be his new best friend. Trump.

I guess they believe him he says he is innocent. Surely when he paid Virginia £12 million they had a huge clue?!

There is more to come out but whether it will come out whilst Trump is in charge is anyone's guess. It will be interesting to see what happens about the accusation that Andrew asked the police to look into Virginia. That one may have legs, although possibly the only person who did anything illegal was the police themselves. I'm not even sure the financial stuff will lead to charges because I'm betting that many wealthy people with more power than Andrew do exactly the same and don't want it exposed.

That statement just reaks of someone on their last nerve what is completely done. They gave Andrew every chance to show shame, remorse, to apologise, over the years and he was still talking about his sense of honour and duty whilst pushing himself front and centre at every opportunity. He literally dug his own grave, jumped in and kept digging. As a result he has been pubkically censured in a way that i thinks makes clear Charles doesn't believe his denial, without getting Charles into legal trouble.

If he is moving to Sandringham then he won't cost extra in security (which he probably needs) and we won't get photos of him riding around anymore.

So probably Andrew has received the consequences he can at this point, next up everyone else on the list?

I think the £12m isn't proven - either the amount or where it came from
All we know is that VG was "paid off".
However, you'd think they'd look at all the other evidence and his behaviour and come to the same conclusion as the rest of us.
However, I have heard they're as entitled as he is.

That was the government's decision. Disgusting though he is Trump is president and we can't do anything about that except handle him as carefully as possible. Starmer played a blinder with that State visit in that it protected the UK to some extent from tariffs.

Yes it's disgusting but it's also politics. We don't get to choose who the Americans have as President but we do need to treat their Head of the State (the office) with respect

RhododendronFlowers · 31/10/2025 06:56

Good points, @MrsLeonFarrell . Andrew was given a chance to show remorse, to self reflect, maybe to help the police or whatever. Nada. He just continued with his arrogant, entitled attitude. That's why this has happened.
He's not costing us anything, and he's lost everything. Fair enough.
