That’s very odd. Some of the awards these two get are eye brow raising to say the least, so many other worthy winners. On a side note though, I think Megan looks fantastic here, one of her best looks.

I saw that interview. It seems ridiculous to note this next to such a pointless "award", but I found it immensely moving. What a brave woman and what a worthwhile cause. It had me in tears, never mind William!

It's just so performative, I can't stand that. Just be yourselves! I don't know what's going on with all their businesses and charities, I don't follow it that closely, but I really don't like this behaviour, because it's like they're desperately trying to be official royals when they're not. Can't they just develop their own way of life?

Harry and Meghan are still very popular internationally- so if you give them an award, you get international attention for your organisation/any organisations you are trying to promote and so it’s worth giving it to them. Also they will turn up, not send a representative.

Rather depressingly, the big difference with Meghan’s look is she seems to have lost a bit of weight. As a fellow middle aged woman, I do hate that the answer to looking better is often “lose a bit of weight”. It’s in the same vain as realising the people who tell you to drink more water and give up sugar/coffee/wine and go to bed early are right, such things will take 5 years off your face. <sigh> why isn’t the solution ever “eat the cinnamon bun”?

Charles and William attended an event about COP23 together last night, William did an interview highlighting Suicide Prevention Day, and the fact that his Royal Foundation is working to link together charities in all four countries of the UK to help find better support for people at risk of suicide. Catherine released a serious essay yesterday and visited a charity to highlight the importance of parental attention.

Harry got an award for existing? Being royal in the US? Meghan dressed nicely to support someone who makes clothes. And got an award for, the healing properties of spread?

I know the Senior Royals don't receive awards they present them but the past few days could not have been a starker contrast.

And it's fine, Harry isn't a working royal he is a celebrity and celebrities love getting awards from each other where the title is in inverse proportion to what they have done to get it. But drop the titles Harry and I think a large proportion of the criticism goes away. At the moment you just look desperate.

She'll always be judged on her looks, we're doing it now. I think she looks lovely but women celebrities now are particularly judged on weight, which is a shame. I suppose they always have to look "insta ready".
