I hope he doesn't go to the funeral, because that makes it all about him.
Precisely why he shouldn’t, and probably won’t go. It’s a private funeral - the close family don’t need it turning into a circus of “Where will Harry sit? Will he speak to William?” and tabloids getting pop psychologists to analyse paparazzi snaps from outside the chapel.
I don’t know why some posters are coming down so hard on my comment. Maybe it’s because they think it’s in support of Harry. It isn’t - my other posts on this thread should make that clear. I’m just trying to be even-handed and to point out that this is not the same as missing a close family member’s funeral. I’m also not trying to suggest he never clapped eyes on her as some people seem to think. But let’s face it, living on the same royal estate doesn’t mean a man of 40 and a (very private) woman of 90 were bosom buddies. I doubt he was casually popping in and out raiding the fridge like he was Joey and she was Monica.
