Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

Apparently Harry is set to make a ‘huge’ announcement, is it the money donation or something else.

Are the British public supposed to be waiting with bated breath 🥱🥱🥱.

Today ??
I am going out for a looong lunch with friends , should I cancel in case I miss it ??

Harry was looking for a controversial soundbite to hit the headlines with the ‘does your brother drive you mad’ comment.

He used the kids sibling situation to try to get a few clickworthy headlines for himself, playing into his own well publicized sibling issues, knowing it would be reported on.

Sounds realistic, Thedom, especially when Harry's shown so clearly that his only real interest is himself

KatherineParr · 09/09/2025 11:40

Is it just me or is the reaction to Harry's sibling comments quite muted? I know the Daily Mail reported on it but there seems less discussion on forums etc

Maybe the general public are getting a bit bored with his shenanigans?
Even on here , threads don’t appear to be filling up as quickly .

Yes! Open up the Daily Mail app!
It seems to be his news outlet of choice, currently.

Ah ok. I didn’t think of that.

On the ITV news last night the brief clip of him at the charity said that, today, Harry would be announcing a 'substantial donation to Children in Need' - who else would even mention it, just wearing his minor philanthropy on his sleeve to polish up his non-existent halo!!

Because he needs to stay in the news.

Baital · 09/09/2025 12:10

How odd, most siblings go to the same school.

No need to ask about siblings, and the most obvious reply to 'we get on well' would surely be 'that's great'?

LaMarschallin · 09/09/2025 12:20

Exactly.
Presumably, Harry doesn't realise things like catchment areas exist (although my DC would have been livid not to be together if there had been a choice).

so he had a conversation, make me lol that whatever he says he gets slagged off.

Doesn’t a conversation normally involve listening to the other person and responding to what they said rather than making random comments?

I’ve never heard the rumour that KC has only two years to live. To see it printed in the paper is incredibly crass!

‘The key reason is emotional though. Rumours have swirled around the palace that the King has been given just two years to live, so it is likely that Harry, never one for admitting he was wrong, might just be regretting some of things he has said and done to wound his father over the past few years. A friend of his also says, “Spike (his nickname among his old school friends) is seriously homesick. He’s started reaching out to us more and more. It started with very long and earnest whatsapps. We actually all made a decision when we started getting them not to take the piss out of them. Something we couldn’t have imagined doing a few years before. Anyway, gradually he seems to be sounding more normal. Whenever anyone goes to America they try to see him. It never seems to be with Meghan though. We think he is beginning to pine for home”.’

So an article based on Harry’s friends as the source of the private information, is also disclosing that Charles has two years to live, first time that’s ever been written.

Is Harry spilling the beans again?

Bloodymigraines · 09/09/2025 17:11

If this has come from Harry's friends and they are saying KC only has 2 years to live (how awful for them to print that) it must have come from Harry and has he given the ok for them to speak to the press about it ? That is such a personal thing to disclose .

FleurDeFleur · 09/09/2025 17:12

Oncologists don't give patients "years to live", because every cancer is individual. When giving information, they can give a median time with reference to the prognosis. They always include caveats.
I do wonder if this is a typical Harry misunderstanding of a conversation KC has had with his consultant.

Even if that were true , I cannot imagine The King sharing that sort of information with Harry who would obviously tell Meghan and we all know it would end up in the public domain .

No they don't, my dear dad was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumour and we were told weeks/months because his symptoms were pretty bad and worsening by the day. If (and it's a big if) a doctor has said years then they are basically saying they don't know but it's not imminent.

My husband is an oncologist, and has said this many times. If asked, they will give a median. It is notoriously difficult to calculate, and consultants are always very reluctant to time stamp this. Often, patients surpass expectations.
You were told that it was terminal, and I am sorry for your Dad's situation.💐
I am only repeating what he tells me.
It's a very sensitive topic.

Anne is the only royal I've seen in person. She was very efficient, meeting all sorts of groups of people, some of whom were nervous about meeting her. It was just a bog standard engagement for her but it was what turned me into a 'royal watcher' - there really was something different about meeting the Queen's daughter and have her acknowledge this local milestone achievement.

Agree about Anne. My Mum received her MBE from Anne some years ago and she was incredibly knowledgeable about my mum's slightly obscure area of work (inter-faith relations) and they had an extended chat. Either Anne was well-prepped or she genuinely has an interest; either way, she made my mum's day!

Unlike Hazza ("Spike"?!) who feels just existing is worth our adoration.

I absolutely agree with you, I didn't word it very well, doctors generally will only give a rough idea of the time if they are pretty sure that it's not going to be long and even then they give a pretty wide range.

Ohpleeeease · 09/09/2025 17:30

The Queen told very few people about her diagnosis because, according to Paul Burrell’s new book, she was adamant that she would see her reign out and didn’t want the subject of a regent being considered. I imagine the same would go for Charles.

I would imagine so.

I'd be furious if I were Charles, that Harry has blabbed to his friends and they have blabbed to the media.
