Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

Excellent post @KatherineParr a great summary on the European royals.

It’s was absolutely ridiculous wasn’t it? this trying to look oh so humble by not wearing the diamonds they have in the Tower yet commissioning a brand new head piece, it really annoyed me too. The European royals wear their crowns and tiaras at every available opportunity, they aren’t embarrassed by their vast collections unlike our royals it appears.

The King said no tiaras - so what was she supposed to do?

BigWillyLittleTodger · 06/09/2025 18:31

I’m not blaming Catherine personally.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember reading that the King didn't want anything fancy, including robes, for the family and the Lords but then apparently Andrew insisted on wearing his Garter robes and the rest gussied up to make him stand out less.

Which may be a complete fabrication but it does ring true bearing in mind Andrew's behaviour around the late Queen's funeral and before she died; trying to make himself as front and centre as possible and getting friends to tell the press he had a way back into public life.

Mylovelygreendress · 06/09/2025 20:26

I recall reading that Andrew was not supposed to wear his robes but did anyway.

The entitlement continues

https://archive.ph/db6XQ

Harry is still going to lobby the government for security.

‘But those close to Harry say he will not give up hope on bringing them here. There is now an acknowledgment by the prince and his camp that pressing the nuclear button of a public battle with His Majesty’s government and courts was not the wisest idea, a case which is reported to have cost Harry more than £1 million. He will now pursue a quieter, under-the-radar approach — those close to the prince say the government should expect private “lobbying” from the prince on the matter to continue.’

He also thinks it’s important to come back to the UK for his kids. Then why did you have to escape on freedom flight Harry?

’A friend says: “He’s not given up hope on bringing his family back to the UK. He wants to be able to show his children where he grew up. He wants them to know their family here. He really would like to come back to the UK much more.”’

Also looks like he is laying the groundwork to not slay the dragon and instead take an out of court settlement with the DM. Trial due January. Pathetic!!!

‘There is also an acknowledgment from those close to Harry that several long-running legal battles, which have taken up vast amounts of his time, energy and money, have been “a major distraction”. His fight with Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, over allegations of historical phone hacking and unlawful information-gathering, is set for a nine-week trial in January, but may end in an out-of-court settlement. With most of his legal preparation done for that case, friends say Harry is now “in a really good headspace, looking forwards”.’

I'm glad he's in a good headspace. Perhaps he can reflect on the impact of his behaviour over the past 5 years, and how much distress and hurt he has caused his family.

Ohpleeeease · 06/09/2025 22:18

I sincerely hope he will not be badgering the government and that the government will
give him short shrift if he does.

Not2identifying · 06/09/2025 22:23

I can't believe he's going to continue trying to get more security than he already has. When is it going to occur to him that he's already got a generous level of support? All he's got to do is give notice. Can't believe I used to like him.

It'll be interesting to see if there's visible security on his visit next week.

Baital · 06/09/2025 22:32

He does get security here. It's just decided each time on an up to date risk assessment.

He wants the equivalent security of the Wales and the King and Queen. Even though he doesn't do anything at all for the UK and resides in the US. The plebs should pay, apparently. So entitled.

FitatFifty · 06/09/2025 23:09

It’s not about security, it’s about power. He’ll never accept that he’s not that important.
im sure that when he left he thought they would all collapse without him, and it turned out no one really cared.

RecoIIectionsMayVary · 06/09/2025 23:13

In reality I think he would hate to be the heir.

Does Harry really think the new Home Secretary has time for his ridiculous nonsense right now?

Madchest · 07/09/2025 00:09

It’s bizarre because they were happy to take their DCs to the UK for the jubilee and run a media campaign issuing photos of Lilis 1st birthday. How was security better or worse then than now? This narrative to seemingly be begging to get enough security in order for them to be able to go to the UK doesnt stack up with their actions.

This sounds incredibly like someone in my family.

Makehaysunshine · 07/09/2025 06:51

Basically I believe Meghan does not want to be in the UK even for visits. So she ramps up his paranoia and blames it on the lack of security. He genuinely believes this is why she doesn’t want to visit the UK. So he thinks by demanding the level of security he would get if he were the King or the heir , she will be satisfied. He’s never ever going to get that level of security . He’s an imbecile. Even if he did get it, she still wouldn’t want the children coming here or come here herself. Quite apart from anything else, I doubt very much that the RF want anything to do with any of them.

ThePoshUns · 07/09/2025 08:25

Absolutely @Makehaysunshine

Thedom · 07/09/2025 08:45

I wouldn’t be surprised if Meghan will be back for a visit to the UK , with kids in tow, she needs some British Royal time, some British Royal gold dust desperately now that everything she has touched in the US has been a failure, and a massive failure at that, even with the huge organizations and massive PR teams behind her.

I don’t think that’ll happen. Who would want to be seen with them?

TheMeasure · 07/09/2025 08:48

I can see no reason why Meghan would ever set foot over here again - she clearly hated living here by the end and her public rating is very low indeed. I really think she (they) would be booed again (as they were at the Jubilee thanksgiving service) although I don't condone that at all.
But moreover, I don't think she would ever allow the children to come either. At one point, I seem to recall her thinking that the RF could technically take them away, although I see zero chance of that happening.
Harry appears to have been very naive.

Thedom · 07/09/2025 09:04

Well Harry is on a drive with the media about wanting to bring his family here, about missing the UK, several reports in yesterdays newspapers from sources close to Harry.

He has gone from as recently as a few months ago telling the BBC he can’t see himself bringing his family back, and a few years ago about hating the UK and needing to take a ‘freedom flight’ for him and his family, to now pushing stories about how much he wants to visit with his family. I think Meghan knows she killed her golden goose, and Harry boy might just be realizing his hated British Royal family are in fact their ticket to some sort of recovery in the circles they need for credibility.

interesting comment in the times yesterday about Harry’s upcoming UK PR trip.

“ Harry’s itinerary, which will be covered by select media considered friendly towards the prince.

He is such a weak coward, how any charity can align themselves to him I just don’t know, Invictus should be ashamed of having some yellow belly like him as a Patron for truly brave vets, here is Harry scared of a bit of perceived criticism and manipulating freedom of the press constantly.

FleurDeFleur · 07/09/2025 09:12

select media
He doesn't believe in press freedom.
They have the nerve to criticise him.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/09/2025 09:19

Apparently GSK ( Corporate Partner of Wellchild) refused Harry’s request for a private jet to attend the awards.
