How can Harry be so deluded?

HiRen · 04/06/2025 17:38

The paranoia deepens

I don't really know what to conclude from this other than that Harry must feel the victim of a deep state conspiracy. Being a spoilt brat, and not understanding that he's there to serve his country rather than the country being there to serve him, can't help. Even if he did fear strategic delays, why would he jump to the conclusion that specific individuals have it in for him, rather than that there's a bigger picture to consider?

I just can't fathom the depths of misery and confusion he must experience on a daily basis. He must think his whole life was a lie until he met Meghan. I really do think things with Harry are much worse than they seem. Which puts an entirely different, and much darker, gloss on all of Meghan's utterings of her era of joy.

I honestly wouldn't want to be in their orbit. And I wonder whether those who remain in their orbit are desperate, whether as friends or employees. They're too much.

Harry and Meghan explored changing surname to Spencer amid children’s passport delays

Also now want to see Kingdom of Heaven based on the Saladin rec.

Kingdom of Heaven sent down a rabbit hole finding out about Baldwin the Leper King of Jerusalem - another fascinating historical figure!

People just had better names in those days didn't they?

Baldwin the Leper. Abu'l Haija the Fat. Harald Bluetooth (cos his teeth were rotten). Peter The Cruel. Charles the Bald. Frederick the Penniless.

Bring back monikers, I say! Meghan the Mercenary. Harry the Pitiful. Harry NoBalls. It works.

@Uricon2 Kingdom of Heaven is pretty ahistorical (I'm a mediaeval history nut) but really underrated amongst Ridley Scott's works imho. It also abounds with eye candy: the actor who plays the baddie Guy de Lusignan is beautiful. Jeremy Irons is unutterably sexy as a long suffering knight. And Brendan Gleeson chews scenery as a power-mad Templar. I won't say who plays Baldwin the Leper, but he's behind a mask throughout and I was SHOCKED when I found out who it was.

Watch the Director's Cut tho, the theatrical release cut so much that the plot ceases to make sense.

Speaking of monickers, "Harold Horridlocks". He vowed neither to cut nor to wash his hair until he had done something I forget – made himself King of All Denmark or something of the sort – and when he had finally done it went off to a barber or the Dark Ages equivalent and was thereafter known as Harold Fairhair.

Hmmmm... Harold Horridlocks.... There was a king, I think of France and Italy, one of the Carolingian lot, called Charles the Bald. Give it another few years and we will have Harry the Bald. And then he can wish he hadn't been so unpleasant and jeering about Prince William losing his hair.

The thing is, if Lilli is a raving beauty that might drum up some interest, but if she is an ordinary looking child, or even quite plain it’s going to be hard to make her the focus of Meghans social media campaign.

Young women being tweaked to received beauty standards under the surgeon's knife is not a big deal in Hollywood circles. MM is an example of this herself.

Yes but Lilly is a child. She won’t go under the knife for at least twenty years… one hopes.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/06/2025 14:49

agree with every word about Charles II. It would have been so easy to dispense with Catherine, remarry and have a legitimate heir, but he didn't

Well that'll teach me to read properly, @Uricon2 ... I orginally took it as the current Charles and had visions of him somehow nicking Catherine from his son Grin

If they're "too much" just stop reading / watching stuff about them. They haven't got a clue who you are and probably wouldn't care if they did. Stop pandering to the media. All I think about Harry is I'm so glad I never had his life. Crack on Harry and get the bastards...

Which bastards would you like Harry to get?

Weepixie · 07/06/2025 14:58

Im glad you asked because he probably doesn’t have a clue either.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 07/06/2025 15:00

His having bastards is a new accusation to me! I thought that was one thing he hadn't yet written about or revealed in an interview.

The press and members (particularly background) of the royal family

The press - he's been in court recently - for phone hacking (think Millie Dowler, Hugh Grant and many others). Harry's about the only one who could go to court over phone hacking. Hugh Grant had to pull out because he couldn't afford it.

Also, some members of the royal family.

The press? Is that one homogeneous unit? Well, as we have seen, he appears to be very happy to give stories to various sections of "the press" (sic).
Some members of the RF? Ok. So nothing precise?

This is so ignorant, I don't even know where to start.

You might want to browse through this board and the numerous, highly informative, intelligent and accurate (unlike yours) posts about the court cases before you come on here and spout shite.

No thanks. My opinion's as valid as anyone else's and you sound a right bore...

Sadly yes, it can start small with botox for ‘sweating’ & nose job etc as affecting qual of life etc…Lili may be a ‘Princess Anne’ in nature though, how would ‘no nonsense’ later land & ‘own mind’?

But he didn't go to court.

He pulled out and took the money instead. Which is absolutely fine but not at all what he had publicly pledged to do.

How is it that you are not aware of this?

Your opinion is only worth anything when it is not at direct variance to demonstrable facts. At the point of such variance it ceases to be valid and becomes simply ignorant sounding off. Wilfully ignorant, if you also refuse to read or see anything which might not agree with your ill-informed opinion.

Uricon2 · 07/06/2025 15:34

I want to know who these are and in what way Harry is "fighting" them. His issues (according to his interviews, book, etc) seem to be with (in no particular order) Charles, Camilla, William and Kate who are hardly "background".
