Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

Well I haven't said anywhere in the post I'm unhappy. You've made that up.

Does everyone with a different political viewpoint to yours seem nasty and bitter?!
I'm not the one insulting other posters. I wonder if you say that in real life to people you don't agree with?

Taylor Swift Dancing GIF

But you do seem kind of mad. Do you not like Taylor? You should put her music on and then you will feel great!

I posted earlier that Meghan wrote a personal letter to Taylor inviting her to be interviewed . Taylor’s PA declined .

Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Lexy70 · 22/06/2024 18:34

Gorgeous photos of Taylor with the Royals. So happy to see these cheerful pics x

How am I an awful person because I disagree with your political view of the royal family?
Doesn't make me awful- it's literally a different view to yours.

Where did the poster express a “political” view of the RF? They said that the children deserved to have fun because there have been through a trying time. How is that political? You have completely invented that angle

Pedallleur · 22/06/2024 18:34

pleasehelpwi3 · 22/06/2024 18:30

Neither of them lasted long though did they? And I'm sure they got them on merit....

Harry was the gunner not the pilot. Doubt they hand v.expensive aircraft to chancers but they will be well schooled. Strange how many Royals manage to get their wings. What are the odds?

I think wilfully misrepresenting someone's view and calling them a sadfucker isn't a good look!
If you can't win the argument, just chuck an insult!

hastalav · 22/06/2024 18:36

If the sneering bitchy and frankly quite dismissive tone of some of the Royal lovers is anything to go by, I'm glad I am indifferent to the RF.

The thing is, it is far easier to justify criticism of them for lots of reasons, than it is to support them at all costs.

Any view on the Royal Family is political, as they are funded by the UK taxpayer.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 22/06/2024 18:37

Being nasty to someone going to a concert with their kids is not a ‘political opinion’. I see Sussex HQ is short of ideas again.

Yes it is sad, that some posters seem to be unable to resist the urge to bring Meghan into everything to do with the royals, when the thread is not even about her. Sad. It is always a bitchy post more often than not.

Their parents aren't sponging off the tax payer though.

Neither are George's and Charlotte's actually. Get your facts right!!!

Uricon2 · 22/06/2024 18:38

I know I shouldn't give them ideas, but I'm actually waiting for some kind of madness about Taylor and William to crop up, as they have met oooo twice now.

(Enter Kate, "Oi, Taylor! Find yourself another London Boy!")

In case it needs saying, this is a joke.

  1. I'm not mad!
  2. Don't mind Taylor- she got where she is on merit alone, and her songs are quite catchy.
Tillievanilly · 22/06/2024 18:38

The kids look so happy. I’m sure it’s been stressful with a poorly mum. Good for William to take time out with them.

Which part? Explain?
Do they get their own money through hard work?

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 22/06/2024 18:40

Goodness. It's got to be embarrassing for the object of one's obsession to be turned down by Taylor Swift's staff and then to see the woman herself having a joyous time with the Waleses and referring to Mr PoW as 'M8'.

Oh dear. Well, that might make some folk a little bit cross, I imagine. 😁

Aside from the whole helicopter pilot aspect which would rule out many people! Plus, I'd imagine it would be quite daunting for a service like Search and Rescue/Air Ambulance to take on a royal as an employee (although they donated their earnings to charity) as the weight placed on the organisation must be considerable. I can't imagine East Anglia Air Ambulance saying 'yeah, we'll give Will's a little spin in the chopper - if he crashes and dies en route to a rescue call which also results in rescuees' not making it, am sure it will all blow over" I'd think those types of organisations wouldn want to be absolutely assured of competence.

(I've not included the armed forces in this scenario, not because I think the optics are vastly different, just that there is established history with employing the RF and it is a much bigger organisation)

Runnerinthenight · 22/06/2024 18:40

pleasehelpwi3 · 22/06/2024 18:20

None of the jobs they chose to do are real though. It's meaningless photo ops for the tabloids to keep royalists happy. All at the taxpayer's expense. It's odd how people seem so happy to pay for one family to live a life of luxury based on battles their ancestors won.

FGS, that's crap!

No, Harry was a pilot. He was deployed as a gunner/ co pilot but he was capable of flying. It was probably deemed safer for him not to be actually flying in a war zone

Apolloneuro · 22/06/2024 18:41

I respect that there is a debate to be had about the role of a monarchy in today’s society. I just don’t think a lovely picture of a couple of kids having the time of their lives in what’s been a tricky year is the place for it.

That's not political. It’s just decency.

Thank you. It's my local area and I know eye witness accounts of him actually flying the Air Ambulance.

Appreciating children enjoying themselves at a concert is not political, whoever they are. Don’t chat shit 😆

Apolloneuro · 22/06/2024 18:46

And as for those children with life limiting illnesses getting the 22 hat…for fucks sake.

Bloody spoilt brats.
