I’m on board with that.

MaturingCheeseball · 30/05/2024 18:13

I’ve thought of another porky: that M wasn’t allowed to invite her niece to the wedding. As if !! I suppose it’s not demonstrably provable, but I can’t believe that Meghan was permitted only one family member, ie Doria.

smellasmelle · 30/05/2024 18:27

One wonders if Doria ever thinks she is next to be cast out into the wilderness.

And if Harry ever thinks it will happen to him...

It isn’t unrealistic to think there will always be a shinier, thicker pole to climb.

Abouttimeforanamechange · 30/05/2024 18:32

Thanks for the new thread. Wholeheartedly agree with a policy of not engaging with derailers and those who spout vile and unfounded rumours.

CremeFresh · 30/05/2024 18:33

Isn't Doria now living with them and looking after the children instead of them having a nanny?

Bet that put the crocodile amongst the pigeons…

DelectableMe · 30/05/2024 18:44

No, that one is true, @MaturingCheeseball - the neice was intercepted at Heathrow by Yeomen Warders, who kept her in the Tower of London until the wedding was over. The late Queen decreed for her a diet of jellied eels and Vimto and watching The Sweeney on itv4.
So cruel.

Bet that put the crocodile amongst the pigeons…

Prince Archibald's first word was "crocodile" because Kate had sent a crocodile to arrive in the Sussex backyard when they were having a family BBQ and discussing philanthropy.
So cruel.

YaMuvva · 30/05/2024 18:50

It seems to be to me that someone tells Meghan something and in her head she spins it to be much more dramatic.
I wonder if someone told her her niece being invited but not her sister may raise eyebrows and she did that thing my pre-teen does of “Oh fine I won’t BOTHER then”

Oh dear. How predictable - The Daily Fail (of course) running a story on the dangers of the mushrooms that Harry took. What nonsense and typical of the Evil British Tabloids. I've taken them, no problem.
On a completely unrelated note, can anyone advise me about getting the kitchen bin to stop talking?

Experts in the US, who tracked the self-reported behaviours of almost 10,000 psilocybin users, discovered hundreds of reports of paranoia and even vivid hallucinations.

looking at that photo, maybe Harry’s affinity to magic mushrooms is due to the fact that they remind him of something he applied eight hour cream to 😱😂😂

EdithWeston · 30/05/2024 18:59

Well I don't think we'll ever know about decisions about the wedding, unless H&M talk/write about them publicly.

At that point, others may speak up (depending on what is said and their view on its accuracy, and whether - if a supplier - they have a commercial reputation to think of)

Spare didn't really contain much about the run up to the wedding, and nothing about decisions on her family (including the decision that Harry made or at least acquiesced in, not to meet his fiancee's father)

DelectableMe · 30/05/2024 18:59

Naughty smilesy! 😂

Shame he wasn’t content just rubbing those mushrooms silly - it would have saved us half the shite he wrote in his book.

Was the National Anthem played?

🤣🤣
Tell the bin it’s using unconscious bias to discriminate against you.
So evil.

Thank you, @YaMuvva . I can't help but feel it's because I forgot to empty it last bin day.

The one time she did as told? I think not.

I know absolutely nothing about running a business or marketing etc , but shouldn't there be more news or publicity about ARO by now? I would have thought you have to keep the kettle boiling, so to speak, but it's all gone a bit off the boil since the jam giveaways.

hoteltango · 30/05/2024 19:34

Here's another bit from "Spare" that I doubt is entirely true:

MEG PACKED UP her house, gave up her role in Suits. After seven seasons. A difficult moment for her, because she loved that show, loved the character she was playing, loved her cast and crew, loved Canada. On the other hand life there had become untenable. Especially on set. The show writers were frustrated, because they were often advised by the Palace comms team to change lines of dialogue, what her character would do, how she would act.

Would the showrunners really allow this? Especially as Meghan wasn't the main star of the show.

smellasmelle · 30/05/2024 19:36

I shouldn’t think so creme

For all the world it really looks as though the announcement was just made, like others, to try to grab the shine from the RF.

It may still happen of course, but I rather think they have underestimated the work and timescales that are involved when launching a business.

These days a ‘name’ just isn’t enough to pull in the punters.
