No I think you have misunderstood the nature of his celebrity - Harry will be very popular amongst young folks , a bit of a rock star

This has made me laugh, firstly we are constantly told how the ‘young folk’ have zero interest in the royal family yet somehow Harry a middle aged talentless whinger is going to buck this trend and become a rock star legend🤣 I don’t think the ‘young folk’ will be putting up posters of Harry on their bedroom walls anytime soon.

BlueParrotRedParrot · 14/06/2024 11:24

It’s all part of the continuing SS narrative of portraying Harry as the little boy behind the coffin, just waiting for his golden moment to arrive once he has thrown off the RF shackles. He’s not Peter Pan. He had his golden period when he may have appealed to the young , it was before his marriage. He’s blown his chance at reinventing himself to become someone more interesting and relevant into his middle years, by doing nothing but whinge, lie and display arrogant levels of hypocrisy. His best chances of a good life are in America, within a bubble that accepts his celebrity, and with his marriage and children intact.

TheFirmBiscuit · 14/06/2024 11:35

It seems that most of your hot takes seem to confirm what Harry highlighted in his book. William's continuing unresolved anger issues will prevent any reconciliation between them, now and forever and on a human level that is the biggest tragedy of them all. Cain and Abel for the 21st Century.

Parkly · 14/06/2024 11:40

I don't like Harry at all, I think his actions and behaviour have been despicable over the last few years. Yet I can't help but feel a bit sorry for him. He must surely look back on life before Meghan and wonder what happened.

He had it all in those days. A privileged life, popularity (albeit based on a PR initiative), the prestige of being a prince yet none of the restrictions of being the heir, a supportive family etc. I wonder if he thinks about the advice William gave him to slow his relationship with Meghan and rues the day he ignored it.

AliceOlive · 14/06/2024 11:56

I think it’s the Sussex Squad Harry will need to worry about if anything happens.

i agree that it's a tragedy. But according to you, the rift is entirely the fault of William and his 'anger issues'.

So, let's see:

Harry allows his family to be branded racists on international TV (slyly not specifying who the 'culprits' were, so throwing shade on everyone).

Then, later, he withdraws the accusation - just like that. Sorry! My mistake.

Then a Sussex mouthpiece 'accidentally' let's slip (blaming a translator) that the accused are Catherine and KC.

Then, Harry and Meghan, despite blathering on endlessly about the evils of online bullying and the importance of mental health and 'being kind', allow their attack dogs in the Sussex Squad to wager a vicious, absolutely poisonous campaign against Catherine while she's undergoing cancer treatment.

Nice.

And that's just the most outrageous things they've done.

Now, if I were William in this situation, I would never forgive. How on earth could he? I absolutely respect him for standing his ground. I would be horrified if he and KC just caved - that would be a moral failure in my book.

Prince William doesn’t have anger issues, he has “my brother is a dickhead issues”.

BemusedAmerican · 14/06/2024 11:58

I'm impressed at how William is simultaneously portrayed as a wimpy rich bald guy in suit on a train and at the same time as Cain and a modern-day Richard III. The mental gymnastics are mind-blowing. 😁😁😁

Edited for typos.

On the other hand it might turn things around with his family and his friends.

I don’t think it would; he’s proved to be untrustworthy and willing to flog the most intimate details of his relationship with his family to the highest bidder. I can’t imagine any of them ever trusting him again let alone having anything other than the most perfunctory of relationships with him.

Right. Meanwhile his brother and sister-in-law have sicked a squad of crazy people after his wife while she’s having cancer treatment. Because she did make the right face when asked to share her lip gloss.

Not really at least not with my teens - they get lumped into our age bracket and as he done nothing but get born to huge privilege and behaved like a whinging twat - they already think he's a joke.

Also wouldn't blame William if he wants no contact - his brother basically publicly gone after their Dad him but worse still his wife and his kids.

I think it’s the Sussex Squad Harry will need to worry about if anything happens.

I suspect this as well.

If he can forgive his dad cheating on his mum from the off then surely nothing is off the table and the dog bowl incident happened long before the exodus to the US and later shenanigans. These "Sussex Squad" allegations that H&M somehow control and unleash these dogs of war is quite a stretch and as beleivable as that some here may be under the pay of KP to punt the mainstream narrative which I am sure none of you are.

What happened is that he married the woman of his choice and now has two DC - he always said how much he wanted children.

Together they decided to make a move, which may or may not have gone according to plan, but which they are doggedly pursuing. I think they have indeed lost their previous standing - but that is what they chose to leave. What they are doing is what they chose.

I don't think it's particularly likely they will split up, because I think they are well matched

I have to say for someone who’s been proven to be a serial liar I’m so shocked when people take Spare as gospel.

Why would Harry need to forgive Charles anything? He didn’t cheat on Harry.
Also what about forgiving his mum for HER many affairs? I wonder what Julia Carling thinks about forgiveness

Re the Sussex Squad - it’s not a conspiracy theory this is what they call themsleves. And Harry and Meghan are involved with them and have been photographed with them, despite the fact they make death threats to their cancer stricken SIL.

ItsNotAShopItsAStore · 14/06/2024 12:22

I agree H&M have lost their previous standing. Harry clearly had a corker of a PR team when he was a working Royal! And not so much now

I have no idea if he' "forgiven" his Dad or if he pragmatically being polite and getting on with life.

The dog bowl incident come from Harry and he's proven to be a spectacular poor source who's book was full of provable lies because basic fact checking on easily checkable fact apparently hadn't been done.

I've never claimed the Sussex Squad were controlled by H&M but what H&M have failed to do is publicly condemn their worst behavior - and instead take photo ops with them.

MummyJ12 · 14/06/2024 12:30

Exactly right. It’s convenient to claim that what is happening with the SS, isn’t because it doesn’t fit the victimhood narrative of M&H. There’s undeniable proof now and the truth has been uncovered since the Princess of Wales became ill.

What’s far fetched is the dog bowl story! But that seems to be taken as gospel. 🤨

SmileyHappyPeopleInTheSun · 14/06/2024 12:30

Sorry doing two thing at once - I read the forgiven bit with affair as Prince William doing forgiven - though TBH no idea if Harry done that either rather than being polite when see Dad and step mum.

LaMarschallin · 14/06/2024 12:30

Perhaps Harry was a bit unsteady on his feet that day.

Totally agree . Julia Carling didn’t hold back with her views on Diana shagging her husband and Oliver Hoare’s wife was plagued by silent phone calls traced back to …………..Kensington Palace !
As for Harry will be very popular amongst young folks a bit of a rock star -
I assume you are joking ? He is a middle aged not particularly attractive man . I have teenage grandchildren and I simply cannot imagine them being interested in his whinging. Anyway , I thought young people weren’t interested in the RF ?

😂😂😂Not everyone stands up for decency just for the money.

I'm just sick of rich & frankly annoying people trying to undermine my country.

The biggest tragedy is that Harry became a vindictive and malicious gobshite. That is what will prevent a reconciliation.

As for Spare being taken as gospel?

Hilarious now that it is being argued that it is all a mis-remember/lies/off my tits on questionable rantfest.

BemusedAmerican · 14/06/2024 12:57

Judge in charge of visa case:
Prince Harry, inquiring minds want to know, is the dog bowl story truth or fiction?

smellasmelle · 14/06/2024 12:58

My money is on pished. Or under the influence of something.

and when his necklace broke and the beads fell to the floor, they grew legs and ran away.
