Part 4 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

The link is still up, both to just giving and ARO.uk. Donations still increasing at a nice pace.

Fantastic news! Love the Trussell Trust.

AnnieSF · 19/04/2024 15:10

The link to the charity is still active.

AnnieSF · 19/04/2024 15:20

I did a Christmas event for them at a supermarket and the general public were so generous. It was overwhelming!

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 19/04/2024 17:37

Fabulous idea. What a clever move to link to Trussell trust.

PinkTonic · 19/04/2024 21:46

Oh my goodness it’s at almost £12,500 now!

EdithWeston · 20/04/2024 10:43

Just read on another thread that it's over £15k this morning.

Brilliant!

LadyMuckonpancakes · 20/04/2024 17:18

This has really made my day.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 20/04/2024 19:27

£17k and rising as I type.

OneHeartySnail · 20/04/2024 19:48

Well, that's one thing we can all agree is a good thing!

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 21/04/2024 09:13

£18,300 this morning. Whoever started this should be given an MBE and a job in PR!

LadyMuckonpancakes · 21/04/2024 11:50

Absolutely. The charity must be absolutely over the moon. I just hope it does all go to the charity.

The ARO UK site seems to.link to a justgiving page for the benefit of the Trussell Trust. Justgiving is a legit site.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 21/04/2024 18:36

Yes indeed, Just Giving is completely legit. And this is about many ordinary people giving a little for a fantastic cause along with their support to the RF. The Trussell Trust has been forced to deal with a load of sugars claiming that the money being raised is somehow fraudulent and they shouldn't accept it. Not an option (even if they wanted to reject it) under the rules for charitable donations. Unbelievable conduct by the SS, have they no shame? Not helped by ridiculous headlines claiming ARO has been hacked and the like. It has not. A not previously purchased UK domain has been bought through legitimate means, and used to do something amazing. The total raised as of this post is just under £19.8K.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 21/04/2024 18:49

It’s just incredible and so good that something positive has come out of the situation.

The SS response is shocking and yet somehow not surprising 😒

AutumnCrow · 21/04/2024 19:06

It has just gone over £20,000.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 21/04/2024 19:10

That's fantastic @AutumnCrow, I was hoping it would before I went to bed!

Hard to decide whether they are humourless, brainless or evil - I mean, who the hell goes after a food bank?

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 21/04/2024 20:26

And yet I’m not surprised. And well done to the people who are donating annoying the hell out of Bouzy and his supporters.

Runnerinthenight · 21/04/2024 20:28

It's just the best - pure evil genius, and a charity benefits!

I would love to shake that person's hand!

Yes, she does look great but it’s a bit cringe when you see grown women replicating teenagers.

Since when did sitting down with friends for a photo shoot become replicating teenagers?

A case here of women policing other women-- not a good look.

LadyMuckonpancakes · 21/04/2024 21:21

No one is policing anyone. It just looks a bit odd.

IsoldeWagner · 21/04/2024 21:26

Giving an opinion on a photo isn't "policing women".
Meghan puts out a lot of images of herself, people will comment.

OneHeartySnail · 21/04/2024 21:31

It was a photo.put out to get public attention, so it got opinions from the public. Some positive, some negative
